Important Safety Notices
Read Carefully Before Beginning Assembly!
- Always use proper tools.
- Follow the assembly steps in order. Do not skip any steps.
- Check all packing materials carefully for small parts that may have come loose inside the carton during shipment. If parts are missing, contact the retailer from which you purchased the product to obtain any missing parts. DO NOT USE SUBSTITUTE PARTS.
- Periodically check to ensure that all connectors (bolts, screws, etc.) are tight.
- Keep these instructions for future reference.
- Some assembly may involve attaching glass or mirrors. Be very careful handling the glass or mirrors, as severe injury may result if the glass or mirror breaks. Never handle large pieces of glass or mirrors by yourself.
- When assembling products that have electrical cords (lamps, lights, etc.), always (1) make sure the electrical cord is unplugged before assembly and (2) be careful not to twist the electrical cord during assembly.
- When assembling shelves or entertainment centers, do not stand on lower shelves in order to assemble upper shelves—use a step ladder.
- Do not stand on tables, including but not limited to, end tables, coffee tables, and dinner tables, as tables are not designed to support the weight of a person.
- Where assembly instructions state that assembly requires two or more people, do not attempt by yourself as there is a risk of injury.

Step 1: Attach Side Panels to Frame
Take the main frame panel (A) and attach the side panels (B and C) to its sides. Use six (6) D (5/16" x 57mm) bolts for each side panel. Tighten using the provided E (4mm) Allen wrench. Ensure the panels are securely fastened.
Diagram shows part A laid flat. Part B is positioned vertically against the side of A. Arrows indicate inserting bolts D through holes in B and into A. The Allen wrench E is shown tightening the bolts. A note (x2) indicates this process is repeated for the other side panel.
Step 2: Assemble Top Frame and Drawer Unit (for B989-54S)
Take the top frame piece (F) and the base/drawer unit (G). Attach F to the top of G using four (4) K (1/4" x 50mm) bolts and two (2) L (Φ8 x 30mm) dowels. Insert the dowels first, then secure with bolts. Attach the drawer slide assemblies (H) to the sides of the base unit (G) using appropriate screws (likely M screws, though not explicitly shown for H here, but implied by later steps). Ensure the slides are oriented correctly for drawer insertion.
Diagram shows part F being placed on top of part G. Arrows indicate inserting dowels L and bolts K through F into G. A zoomed-in view shows the connection detail for K and L. Another zoomed-in view shows drawer slides H being attached to the side of G with screws, with arrows indicating the direction of attachment and tightening.
Step 3: Assemble Top Frame and Drawer Unit (for B989-56S)
Take the top frame piece (F) and the base/drawer unit (G). Attach F to the top of G using four (4) K (1/4" x 50mm) bolts and two (2) L (Φ8 x 30mm) dowels. Insert the dowels first, then secure with bolts. Attach the drawer slide assemblies (H) to the sides of the base unit (G) using appropriate screws. Ensure the slides are oriented correctly for drawer insertion.
Diagram is identical in layout to Step 2, showing part F being placed on top of part G. Arrows indicate inserting dowels L and bolts K through F into G. A zoomed-in view shows the connection detail for K and L. Another zoomed-in view shows drawer slides H being attached to the side of G with screws, with arrows indicating the direction of attachment and tightening.
Step 4: Insert Drawers
Carefully slide the assembled drawers into the drawer slides (H) attached to the base unit (G). Ensure they move smoothly.
Diagram shows the assembled base unit with drawers being inserted. Arrows indicate the direction of insertion. A zoomed-in view shows the drawer slides engaging.
Step 5: Attach Center Support Beam
Attach the central support beam (J) to the frame. Use one (1) J (1/4" x 63mm) bolt to secure it in place. This beam provides essential structural support.
Diagram shows the main frame assembly. A central beam (J) is positioned underneath. An arrow indicates inserting bolt J through a pre-drilled hole in the frame and into the beam J. A zoomed-in view shows the connection detail.
Step 6: Attach Side Rails
Attach the side rails (P or W, depending on model) to the main frame assembly. Ensure they are securely fastened at all connection points. Use the appropriate hardware provided.
Diagram shows the main frame structure. Side rails (labeled P/W) are shown being attached to the sides. Arrows indicate the connection points. A zoomed-in view shows a close-up of how the side rail connects to the frame, likely via brackets or bolts. A note (x4) indicates multiple attachment points.
Step 7: Attach Support Beams
Attach the center support beams (T or Z, depending on model) to the side rails. Use the provided R support brackets/connectors and screws to secure these beams. Ensure they are firmly attached.
Diagram shows the bed frame with side rails attached. Center support beams (T/Z) are positioned to span between the side rails. Arrows indicate where R components are used to connect the beams to the rails. A zoomed-in view shows the R component being attached with screws, with a circular arrow indicating tightening. A note (x3) indicates multiple R components are used.
Step 8: Adjust Levelers
Locate the adjustable levelers on the bottom of the cross-slat support legs. Turn the levelers to ensure they make firm contact with the floor, providing stability. It is recommended to leave approximately 6mm (approx. 1/4 inch) of space between the bottom of the leveler and the floor before final tightening, allowing for minor adjustments.
Diagram shows a close-up of the bottom of a support leg with an adjustable leveler. Arrows indicate turning the leveler. Text in multiple languages reinforces the instruction to leave 6mm space.
Step 9: Install Slats (for B989-94)
For model B989-94, lay the bed slats (S) across the frame, resting on the side rails and center support beam. Secure the slats using U (1/4" x 35mm) screws. Use approximately 7 screws in total, distributed evenly.
Diagram shows the bed frame with side rails and support beams. Slats (S) are shown being laid across the frame. Arrows indicate placement. A zoomed-in view shows a screw (U) passing through a slat and into the frame. Notes (x4 and x3) indicate multiple attachment points.
Step 10: Install Slats (for B989-96/97)
For models B989-96/97, lay the bed slats (Y) across the frame, resting on the side rails and center support beam. Secure the slats using U (1/4" x 35mm) screws. Use approximately 9 screws in total, distributed evenly.
Diagram shows the bed frame with side rails and support beams. Slats (Y) are shown being laid across the frame. Arrows indicate placement. A zoomed-in view shows a screw (U) passing through a slat and into the frame. Notes (x6 and x3) indicate multiple attachment points.
Step 11: Attach Drawer Slides (for Drawer Units)
Attach the drawer slide assemblies (N) to the drawer boxes or the base unit, as indicated. Use M (5/32" x 16mm) screws for this purpose. Ensure the slides are properly aligned for smooth drawer operation.
Diagram shows a close-up of drawer slides (N) being attached using screws (M). Arrows indicate the screw holes and direction of attachment. A note (x4) indicates the quantity of screws used for this step.
Step 12: Final Assembly Check
Review all connections to ensure they are tight and secure. The bed frame is now assembled.
Diagram shows the fully assembled bed frame, including the headboard, side rails, and slats. It serves as a final visual confirmation of the completed assembly.
Important Note on Moving
Always disassemble the bed prior to moving it to a new location.
Text in multiple languages (English, Spanish, French, Chinese) reiterates the instruction to disassemble before moving.
