Operating Principles

In a hygrorégllable VMC system, airflow is automatically regulated based on room humidity levels, thus matching the actual ventilation needs of the building. The BDH vent is installed in the kitchen.

Product Description

The BDH is the hygrorégllable vent designed for kitchens in individual houses and new or renovated collective housing. It is the large model hygrorégllable vent with a 50m³/h capacity.

Installation (Mise en oeuvre)

• The BDH must be installed in the kitchen.
• The vent should be positioned at the top of a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a height of at least 1.80 meters above the floor.
• The vent must be accessible and removable, with a distance of at least 20 cm between the center of the vent and adjacent walls, and not directly attached to the duct.
• The seal between the vent and the connecting duct must be optimal. This is improved by using a collar. A metal collar is used for collective housing (stainless steel collar is mandatory for Gas VMC). A plastic collar can be used for individual houses.
• The vent connects directly (via push-fit with O-ring) to: a collar, RT Flex, rigid or semi-rigid duct.
• Versions without a duct: fixed by clip onto a Ø 125 mm duct (Roll-In seal), Ø 116 mm duct (Roll-In seal), or Ø 100 mm duct (foam seal).
• To prevent kitchen hygrorégllable vents from rotating during peak airflow usage, it is recommended to fix them with two Ø 3.5 x 35 mm screws and two Ø 6 x 35 mm anchors.
• For ceiling-mounted or under-cabinet cord-controlled hygrorégllable vents, use a cord return guide (code 11015001).
• NOTE: For electrically controlled hygrorégllable vents, provide two AA/LR06 batteries and a standard push button (code 11026011).
• Hygrorégllable vents operate within a pressure range of 80-160 Pa.
• Extraction vents must be maintained and checked at least once a year. It is forbidden to connect a mechanical hood to the VMC system (Art. 14 - decree of March 24, 1982).
• Before replacing an old vent with a new one, perform a pressure reading and note the type of housing concerned.
