Spectral Power Distribution
The spectral power distribution describes how the light source emits power across different wavelengths of light, from 250 nm to 800 nm at full load. The graph on page 3 illustrates this for various light source technologies:
- Halogen: Shows a broad, smooth curve peaking in the red/infrared region.
- Fluorescent: Displays distinct peaks in the blue, green, and yellow/orange parts of the spectrum.
- LED (RGB): Characterized by sharp, narrow peaks in the red, green, and blue regions, indicating precise colour generation.
- LED (PC): Presents a broader spectral distribution with a significant peak in the blue region and a wider hump extending through the green, yellow, and red parts of the spectrum.
