This guide covers several different models. The refrigerator you have purchased may have some or all of the features shown above. To keep a position of inner parts like as baskets, drawers and shelves supplied by manufacturer is the most efficient usage for energy saving. ">" refers to alphabetical character, depending on the model purchased.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTION

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons when using your product, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following. Read all instructions before using this appliance.

General Safety Precautions
- ⚠️ Keep the air vents clear of obstruction.
- ⚠️ Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- ⚠️ Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
- ⚠️ Do not use electrical appliance inside the food storage compartment, unless they are recommended by the manufacturer.
- ⚠️ The refrigerant and insulation blowing gas used in the appliance requires special disposal procedures. When disposal, please consult with services agent or a similarly qualified person.
Risk of Fire and Flammable Materials
- This symbol alerts you to flammable materials that can ignite and cause a fire if you do not take care.
- This appliance contains a small amount of isobutane refrigerant (R600a), but it is also combustible. When transporting and installing the appliance, care should be taken to ensure that no parts of the refrigerating circuit are damaged.
- If a leak is detected, avoid any naked flames or potential sources of ignition and air the room in which the appliance is standing for several minutes. In order to avoid the creation of a flammable gas air mixture if a leak in the refrigerating circuit occurs, the size of the room in which the appliance is used should correspond to the amount of refrigerant used. The room must be 1m² in size for every 8g of R600a refrigerant inside the appliance.

BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
This guide contains many important safety messages. Always read and obey all safety messages.
This is the safety alert symbol. It alerts you to safety messages that inform you of hazards that can hurt or seriously injured or cause damage to the product. All safety messages will be preceded by the safety alert symbol and the hazard signal word DANGER, WARNING, or CAUTION. These words mean:
When connecting the power
- Dedicated outlet should be used.
- Using several devices on one outlet may cause fire.
- ⚠️ Do not allow the power cord to bend or pressed by heavy object.
- ⚠️ Do not allow the power plug to face upward or to be squeezed at the back of the refrigerator.
- ⚠️ Water maybe flown into or the plug may be damaged which causes fire or electric shock.
- ⚠️ Do not extend or modify the length of the power plug.
- ⚠️ It may damage the power cord and cause fire or electric shock.
- Remove water or dust from the power plug and insert it with the ends of the pins securely connected.
- ⚠️ Dust, water or unstable connection may cause fire or electric shock.
- When the power cord or the power plug is damaged or the holes of the outlet are loose, do not use them.
- ⚠️ It may cause electric shock or short circuit.
- ⚠️ It may cause electric shock or fire.
- ⚠️ Do not pull out the cord or touch the power plug with wet hands.
- ⚠️ It may cause electric shock or injury.
- Make sure of grounding.
- ⚠️ Incorrect grounding may cause break-down and electric shock.
General Usage Precautions
- ⚠️ Do not use electrical appliances inside the refrigerator or keep them on top/inside the refrigerator such as TV, Cooler, Temple, Decoration Lighting, Harmful Chemicals, Cloth Top etc. It may cause explosion or fire.
- ⚠️ Do not use drier to dry the inside, nor light a incense stick to remove odor. It may cause explosion or fire.
- ⚠️ Do not use the combustible spray near the refrigerator. It may cause fire.
- ⚠️ Do not store medicine or academic chemicals in the refrigerator. When the material with strict temperature control is stored, it may be deteriorated or it may make an unexpected reaction and cause any risk.
- ⚠️ Avoid placing refrigerator near heating devices. It may cause fire.
- ⚠️ When gas is leaked, do not touch the refrigerator or the outlet and ventilate the room immediately. It may cause explosion or fire.
- ⚠️ Do not allow any person except LG Service representative to disassemble, repair or alter the refrigerator. It may cause injury, electric shock or fire.
- ⚠️ Do not spray water on the outside or inside of the refrigerator or do not clean it with benzene or thinner. Deterioration of insulation of electric parts may cause electric shock or fire.
- ⚠️ When any strange smell or smoke is detected from the refrigerator, disconnect the power plug immediately and contact the service center. It may cause fire.
- ⚠️ Do not use the refrigerator for non-domestic purpose (storing Medicine, Chemicals or using in the ship etc.). It may cause an unexpected risk such as fire, electric shock, deterioration of stored material or chemical reaction.
- ⚠️ Install the refrigerator on a solid and level floor. Installation on an unstable place may cause injury by the refrigerator falling down while opening or closing the door.
- DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CORD
- If possible, connect the refrigerator to its own individual electrical outlet to prevent it and other appliances or household lights from causing an overload that could cause a power outage.
- ACCESSIBILITY OF SUPPLY PLUG
- The refrigerator-freezer should be so positioned that the supply plug is accessible for quick disconnection when accident happens.
- ⚠️ Do not place any flame related items like lit candle on top of refrigerator. It may cause fire.
- ⚠️ Do not keep any other electrical appliance on top / inside of refrigerator such as TV, Cooler, Temple, Decoration Lighting, Harmful Chemicals, Cloth Top etc. It may cause explosion or fire.
- In order to prevent possible electric shock, this appliance must be grounded.
- Improper use of the grounding plug can result in an electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if you have doubts on whether the appliance is properly grounded.
- ABOUT GROUNDING (EARTHING)
- In the event of an electric short circuit, grounding (earthing) reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
- DO NOT MODIFY OR EXTEND THE POWER CORD LENGTH
- ⚠️ It will cause electric shock or fire.
- Please do not use a dishwasher to clean the lower drawers; the high temperature may cause damage to the baskets which make them unusable.
- Moving the Appliance for Relocation / Preparing for Relocation
- 1. Remove all food from inside the appliance.
- 2. Pull the power plug out, insert and fix it into the power plug socket at the rear of the appliance.
- ⚠️ CAUTION Always be careful, please. Violating these directions may cause injury or damage to health, house or furniture.
- Do not touch food or containers in the freezer with wet hands. It may cause frostbite.
- Do not place glass containers, bottles or cans (especially those containing carbonated drinks) in the freezer compartment, shelves or ice bin that will be exposed to temperatures below freezing.
- Wait for 5 minutes or longer when reconnecting the plug. It may cause the operation of the freezer to fail.
- ❌ Do not insert hand into the bottom of the refrigerator. The iron plate at the bottom may cause injury.
- Please be careful while opening or closing the door of the refrigerator, may cause injury to the person around it.
- Opening or closing the door may cause feet or hands to be caught in the chink in door or child hand get hurt by the corner.
- Do not cling on the door or baskets of the door. It may cause the refrigerator to fall over or cause injury to user. Especially, do not allow the children to do the above.
- ❌ Do not put any living animal in the refrigerator.
- This appliance must be grounded (earthed).
- DON'T WAIT! DO IT NOW!
- ⚠️ Do not store inflammable materials, explosives or chemicals in the refrigerator.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments; catering and similar non-retail applications.
- ⚠️ Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
3. INSTALLATION
Selecting a Location
- Select a good location. Place your refrigerator where it is easy to use.
- Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, direct sunlight or moisture.
- To ensure proper air circulation around the fridge-freezer, please maintain sufficient space on both the sides as well as top and maintain at least 2 inches (5 cm) from the rear wall.
- To avoid vibrations, the unit must be level. If required, adjust the leveling screws to compensate for unevenness of the floor. The front should be slightly higher than the rear for better performance and to aid in door closing.
- Leveling screws can be turned easily by tipping the cabinet slightly. Turn the leveling screws clockwise (➡️) to raise the unit, counterclockwise (⬅️) to lower it.
- Don't install this appliance below 5°C. It may cause the debasement of the refrigerator.
Next Steps
- Clean your refrigerator thoroughly and wipe off all dust accumulated during shipping.
- Install accessories such as ice cube box, etc. in their proper places. They are packed together to prevent possible damage during shipment.
- Connect the power supply cord (or plug) to the outlet. Don't double up with other appliances on the same outlet.
- Prior to storing food, leave your refrigerator on for 2 or 3 hours. Check the flow of cold air in the freezer compartment to ensure proper cooling. Your refrigerator is now ready for use.
Dimensions and Clearances
Too small of a distance from adjacent items may result in degradation of freezing capability and increased electricity costs. Allow over 30 cm clearance from each adjacent wall when installing the appliance.

Note: The Appliances rated from SN to T are intended to be used at an ambient temperature between 10°C and 43°C.
4. INVERTER-ON FEATURE (Optional)
This feature allows the refrigerator to operate on basic energy requirements. Results may vary depending on the number of appliances running on the inverter. For optimum performance, it is recommended to switch off other unused appliances. Confirm food quality before consumption, as items like ice cream may soften.
Minimum Requirement: UPS / Inverter should be ON with a minimum 600 VA capacity and a 120Ah battery connected to the refrigerator's power supply socket.
5. OPERATIONS
SUGGESTION FOR ENERGY SAVING
- Please do not keep the door open for a long time; close the door in the shortest time.
- Do not overfill the refrigerator. Ensure enough space for cool air circulation.
- Do not set the temperature of the refrigerator lower than needed. Do not place food near the temperature sensor.
- Allow hot food to cool prior to storing. Placing hot food in the refrigerator could spoil other food and increase electricity bills.
- Do not block air vents with food. Smooth circulation of cold air keeps the refrigerator temperature even.
- Do not open the door frequently. Opening the door lets warm air enter the refrigerator, causing the temperature to rise.
- In the event of a blackout, call the electricity company to inquire about the duration. Avoid door openings while power is off. Check food condition when power returns.
STARTING
- When your refrigerator is first installed, allow it (7-8 hours) to stabilize at normal operating temperatures prior to filling it with fresh or frozen foods.
- If operation is interrupted, wait 5 minutes before restarting.
BEFORE SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
- The refrigerator temperature is kept constant regardless of room temperature changes. It is recommended that, once set, the temperature settings should not be changed unless necessary.
- This refrigerator has temperature control buttons or knobs for the fridge and freezer compartments.
- The default setting for the fridge compartment is ‘4°C'/'3°C' (External Controller Model).
- The default setting for the freezer compartment is -18°C (External Controller Model).
- This refrigerator has a temperature sensor in the fridge compartment; it will start and stop the compressor automatically as needed.
DOOR ALARM
When the door of the refrigerator is open for 1 minute, an alarm will sound three times. If the door remains open, the alarm will repeat every 30 seconds.
SELF TEST
Your refrigerator contains a built-in diagnostic capability. If it develops a malfunction, it will display an error code to assist the repair technician. While an error code is displayed, other control and display functions will not operate. If an error code is displayed, contact a service center. Do not disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
FOR CONVERTIBLE MODEL
- External Controller:
- 1. Freezer: Press Freezer button repeatedly to select desired temperature between -23°C and -15°C.
- 2. Fridge: Press Fridge button repeatedly to select desired temperature between 1°C and 7°C.
- Internal Controller:
- 1. Freezer: Press Freezer button repeatedly to select desired temperature between cold and coldest in 7 steps.
- 2. Fridge: Press FRIDGE TEMP CONTROL button to control temperature. LEDs indicate 7 steps from cold to coldest.
- Convertible Mode: Press and hold Convertible button for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate. During this mode, Express Freeze, Freezer, and Eco Friendly buttons become inactive. Temperature selection for Fridge is between 1°C and 7°C.
- EXPRESS FREEZING*: This feature is for quick cooling & early ice making. Activate by pressing and holding Express Freeze button for 3 seconds or turning the knob. The refrigerator temperature lowers quickly. It automatically exits express mode after 21 hours or if power is cut off.
FOR NON-CONVERTIBLE MODEL
- CONTROLS FOR FREEZER COMPARTMENTS: Control temperature by rotating the knob from Minimum (Cold) to Maximum (Coldest).
- CONTROLS FOR FRIDGE COMPARTMENTS: Control temperature by pressing the FRIDGE temp control button or rotating the knob, from Cold (min) to Coldest (Max.). LEDs indicate 7 steps.
- Note: Fridge compartments will be warmer if the freezer compartment becomes colder.
HYGIENE FRESH (Optional)
This filter has an antibacterial function to remove viruses or bacteria and a deodorizer function to remove odors. Read the manual carefully before use.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION
- When switches to auto or power mode, the LED around the filter turns on. Check the LED. Do not put fingers or alien particles inside the fan to avoid injury or malfunction.
- Do not wash the filter with water, as it may cause malfunction.
- This filter may not be effective for all types of bacteria and viruses.
- This is effective to remove bacteria not on food in the refrigerator.
ICE MAKING
- Twisting ice serve type: Fill the ice tray with water and insert. To remove cubes, hold the lever and pull gently. Ice cubes drop into the ice cube box. Use potable water only. The ice maker can be disassembled to save space.
- Remove 1 (ice tray) and 2 (ice cube box).
- Do not use anything other than water. Fill water up to the marked line.
DEFROSTING
Defrosting takes place automatically. Defrosted water flows to an evaporating tray at the rear and evaporates.
DEODORIZER (Optional)
Unpleasant odors are deodorized without handling. Do not prick the cooling air inlet. Wrap strong odor foods or store in a lidded container. The deodorizer can be revived and re-used by removing it, using a hairdryer to remove moisture/malodor, and oxidizing under sunlight.
DOOR COOLING+ (Optional)
If water or foreign substances enter the cool air vent during cleaning, efficiency will be lowered. Cool air vents provide cool air to door shelves. Ensure gasket is not damaged to prevent cool air escape.
LED PATTERN DURING INVERTER-ON MODE
This pattern indicates the product is running at basic energy requirement. The "FRIDGE" button can change LED settings during power cuts. The LED pattern may take time to change when switching between Normal and Inverter modes.
Wi-Fi (Optional)
Sets the refrigerator to connect to your home's Wi-Fi network. This feature turns off automatically if the refrigerator is switched OFF.
6. SMART FUNCTIONS (Optional)
Using LG ThinQ Application
This feature is available on models with (*Wi-Fi ). The LG ThinQ application allows communication with the appliance using a smartphone. It offers convenient smart features for smartphone control.
Smart Diagnosis (Optional)
If you experience a problem, this feature helps diagnose the issue. It can transmit troubleshooting data to a smartphone.
Settings
Allows setting various options on the appliance and in the application.
NOTE
- If you change your wireless router, internet service provider, or password, delete the registered appliance from the LG ThinQ application and register it again.
- The application is subject to change for appliance improvement purposes without notice.
- Functions may vary by model.
Before Using LG ThinQ Application
- Check the distance between the appliance and the wireless router (Wi-Fi network). If too far, the signal may be weak, and registration/installation may fail.
- Turn off the Mobile data or Cellular Data on your smartphone.
- Connect your smartphone to the wireless router.
NOTE
- To verify Wi-Fi connection, check if the (*Wi-Fi.) control panel light is on.
- The appliance supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only. Contact your Internet service provider or router manual to check your network frequency.
- LG ThinQ is not responsible for any network connection problems or faults.
- If connecting to Wi-Fi is difficult, the appliance may be too far from the router. Consider a Wi-Fi repeater.
- The Wi-Fi connection may be interrupted due to the home network environment.
- Network connection may not work properly depending on the Internet service provider.
- The surrounding wireless environment can slow down the wireless network service.
- The appliance cannot be registered due to wireless signal transmission problems. Unplug the appliance and wait about a minute before trying again.
- If your wireless router has a firewall enabled, disable it or add an exception.
- The wireless network name (SSID) should be a combination of English letters and numbers (no special characters).
- Smartphone user interface (UI) may vary by OS and manufacturer.
- If the router's security protocol is WEP, you may fail to set up the network. Change to WPA2 or other protocols.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi button, when used with the LG ThinQ application, allows the appliance to connect to a home Wi-Fi network. The *Wi-Fi icon shows the connection status.
Initial Appliance Registration
- Run the LG ThinQ application and follow the instructions to register the appliance.
Re-registering the Appliance or Registering Another User
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds to temporarily turn it off. Run the LG ThinQ application and follow the instructions to register the appliance.
NOTE
- To disable the Wi-Fi function, press and hold the *Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds. The *Wi-Fi icon will be turned off.
Installing the LG ThinQ Application
- Search for the LG ThinQ application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on a smartphone.
- Follow instructions to download and install the application.
- Run the LG ThinQ application and follow the instructions in the application to register the appliance.
Open Source Software Notice Information (Optional)
This feature is available on models with (*Wi-Fi ). To obtain source code under GPL, LGPL, MPL, and other open source licenses, please visit http://opensource.lge.com. This feature is only available on models with the ➕ or ℹ️ logo. Use this feature to help diagnose and solve problems with your appliance.
7. SMART DIAGNOSIS
Using LG ThinQ to Diagnose Issues
If you experience a problem with your Wi-Fi equipped appliance, it can transmit troubleshooting data to a smartphone using the LG ThinQ application.
Using Audible Diagnosis to Diagnose Issues
Follow the instructions below to use the audible diagnosis method.
- Launch the LG ThinQ application and select the Smart Diagnosis feature in the menu. Follow the instructions provided in the LG ThinQ application.
INTERNAL CONTROLLER MODEL
- Open the fridge door.
- Press and hold the Fridge button for 3 seconds or longer.
- If the buzzer sounds 4 times, open the freezer door and hold the phone near the speaker hole.
EXTERNAL CONTROLLER MODEL
- Close the freezer and fridge doors, then press and hold the Lock button to activate the lock function. If the display has been locked for over 5 minutes, you must deactivate and then reactivate the lock.
- Press and hold the Fridge button for 3 seconds or longer. The control panel will turn off, and '3' will be displayed on the fridge temperature display.
- Open the freezer and fridge door, and then hold the phone on the upper right speaker hole.
NOTE
For best results, do not move the phone while the tones are being transmitted.
8. SUGGESTIONS ON FOOD STORAGE
STORING FOOD
- Store fresh food in the refrigerator compartment. How food is frozen and thawed is important for maintaining freshness and flavor.
- Do not store food that spoils easily at low temperatures, such as bananas, pineapples, and melons.
- Allow hot food to cool prior to storing. Placing hot food in the refrigerator could spoil other food and lead to higher electricity bills.
- When storing food, cover it with vinyl wrap or store in a lidded container. This prevents moisture evaporation and helps food retain its taste and nutrients.
- Do not block air vents with food. Smooth circulation of chilled air keeps refrigerator temperatures even.
- Do not open the door frequently. Opening the door lets warm air enter the refrigerator, causing the temperature to rise.
- In the event of a blackout, call the electricity company to inquire about the duration. Avoid door openings while power is off. When power supply returns to normal, check the condition of the food.
FREEZER COMPARTMENT
- Do not store bottles in the freezer compartment; they may break when frozen.
- Do not refreeze food that has been thawed. This causes loss of taste and nutrition.
- When storing frozen food like ice cream for a long period, place it on the freezer shelf, not in the door rack.
- Loading or Freezing: It is recommended to load newly introduced foods on the following position for freezing.
REFRIGERATOR COMPARTMENT
- Avoid placing moist food on deep interior refrigerator shelves, as it could freeze upon direct contact with chilled air. Store food in a covered container.
- It is desirable to store moist food (especially vegetables and fruits) in the vegetable storage compartment. If storing on a shelf is necessary, place it close to the door, away from the back wall, to avoid freezing by the cool circulating air.
- Always clean food prior to refrigeration. Wash and wipe vegetables and fruits, and wipe packed food clean to prevent spoilage of adjacent food.
- When storing eggs in their storage rack, ensure they are fresh and always store them in an upright position to keep them fresh longer.
- Don't keep hot milk or hot food in your refrigerator. This will result in increased temperature and power consumption.
- Never overload your refrigerator or cover shelves with paper or plastic sheets, as it will reduce efficiency.
- Close the door properly, ensuring no gap between the gasket and the cabinet.
- Wipe excessive moisture on food or place it inside containers or plastic net bags to retain freshness longer.
9. CLEANING
It is important that your refrigerator is kept clean to prevent undesirable odors. Spilled food should be wiped immediately, as it may acidify and stain plastic surfaces if allowed to settle.
Never use metallic scouring pads, brushes, coarse abrasive cleaners, or strong alkaline solutions on any surface.
Before cleaning, remember that damp objects will stick or adhere to extremely cold surfaces. Do not touch frozen surfaces with wet or damp hands.
INTERIOR PARTS
Wash compartment shelves, door racks, storage trays, and magnetic door seals etc. Use a lukewarm solution of mild soap or dish washable solution to clean the durable finish. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry.

INTERIOR (Regular Cleaning)
Regular cleaning of the interior and interior parts is recommended. Use a lukewarm solution of mild soap or dish washable solution to clean the durable finish. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry.
- Use lukewarm water when cleaning.
- Water Tank: Do not use anything other than water. If any other liquid is used, rinse the tank three to four times with water.
10. GENERAL INFORMATION
VACATION TIME
- During average length vacations, it is best to leave the refrigerator in operation. Place freezable items in the freezer for longer life.
- If leaving the appliance off for an extended period, remove all food, unplug the power cord, clean the interior, and leave doors slightly ajar to prevent mold growth.
POWER FAILURE
Most power failures are corrected within an hour or two and will not affect refrigerator temperatures. Minimize door openings while power is off. For longer outages, place dry ice on frozen packages.
IF YOU MOVE
- Remove or securely fasten down all loose items inside the refrigerator.
- To avoid damaging leveling screws, turn them all the way into the base.
POWER FLUCTUATION
It is recommended to use a Voltage Stabilizer (0.5KVA) if power fluctuations are frequent and outside the specified voltage range (100~310V). Stabilizer usage increases refrigerator life.

ANTI-CONDENSATION PIPE
The outside wall of the refrigerator cabinet may sometimes get warm, especially just after installation. Don't be alarmed. This is due to the anti-condensation pipe, which pumps hot refrigerant to prevent "sweating" on the outer cabinet wall.
LED REPLACEMENT
This product uses an LED Lamp that cannot be replaced by the user. Please contact an authorized service center for lamp replacement.
11. BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE

If the side or back of the appliance is touching a cabinet or wall, some of the normal vibrations may make an audible sound. To eliminate the noise, make sure that the sides and back do not make any contact with any wall or cabinet.

Mobile data for your smartphone is turned on. Turn off the Mobile data of your smartphone and register the appliance using the Wi-Fi network. The wireless network name (SSID) is set incorrectly. The wireless network (SSID) should be a combination of English letters and numbers. (Do not use special characters.) The router frequency is not 2.4 GHz. Only a 2.4 GHz router frequency is supported. Set the wireless router to 2.4 GHz and connect the appliance to the wireless router. To check the router frequency, check with your Internet service provider or the router manufacturer. The distance between the appliance and the router is too far. If the distance is too far, the signal may be weak and the connection may not be configured correctly. Move the router closer to the appliance. |

Dos:

- The product is required to be handed over only to the authorized recycler for disposal.
- Keep the product in an isolated area, after it becomes non-functional/un-repairable, to prevent accidental breakage.
Any disposal through unauthorized agencies/person will attract action under Environment (Protection) Act 1986.
Hazards of Improper Handling or Accidental Breakage:
- The refrigerant (R134a) used, if overexposed, might cause dizziness and loss of concentration. Liquid contact can cause irritation and frostbite. The refrigerant (R600a), squirting out of the pipes could ignite or cause eye injury.
- The blowing agent cyclopentane is a highly flammable liquid and vapor, harmful to aquatic life. Contact with liquid may cause cold burns/frost bites. Repeated exposure can cause skin dryness.
This product complies with the requirement of Hazardous Substances as specified under Rule 13 (1) & (2) of the E-Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2011.

15. WARRANTY CARD
The LG Refrigerator comes with a 1-year warranty on all Parts (except Consumables, Bulb, Loose Plastic Parts, Glass). An additional warranty on the compressor (4 years or 9 years, depending on the model) is also provided.
9 YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON INVERTER COMPRESSOR (depends upon model purchased)
This warranty covers the Compressor only. Gas/Gas charging will be charged to the customer unless the compressor is defective and inoperative. During the additional warranty period, parts like PCB assembly, condenser, freezer, capillary, suction line, overload protector, relay, thermostat etc., are not covered. Standard visiting charges apply within municipal limits; outside limits incur additional travel and incidental expenses. Only replaced or repaired parts are free of cost; service charges are always payable.
Common Terms & Conditions:
- Warranty is confined to the first purchaser and is non-transferable.
- Repairs and replacements will be carried out through Authorized Service Centers of LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd. (LG or LGEIL). Contact LG customer care or the dealer for service calls.
- Repair under warranty must be carried out by authorized service personnel only.
- For units installed beyond municipal limits, the purchaser must contact the nearest authorized service center at their own cost and risk. All expenses for transportation and service personnel deputation are borne by the customer.
- The authorized service center will advise whether repairs can be done on-site or at the center.
- Cleaning of the unit/parts due to dust accumulation is not considered a defect.
- Warranty continues for the unexpired period after repair/replacement. LGEIL may use new or refurbished parts. Replacement of parts is at LGEIL's discretion. If the entire unit is replaced, the same model will be provided, or an equivalent model if discontinued.
- Warranty is void for damage due to product/customer abuse, repairs by unauthorized personnel, misuse, or if parts are not the original. Repairs will be chargeable.
- This warranty does not cover any consequential liability, damage, or loss to property or life. The company's obligation is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts.
- The company reserves the right to retain replaced parts/components.
- The company will make efforts to carry out repairs promptly but is not obligated to do so within a specified period.
- In case of unforeseen circumstances or unavailability of spares, prevailing depreciation rules may apply.
- If colored internal/external components are replaced, shades may vary from the original due to continuous usage. Matching components changed at customer's request will be chargeable.
- Free Installation or Demo is available only once within 3 months from the date of purchase.
- Extended warranty requires relevant proof.
- Warranty expires even if the refrigerator is not in use during the warranty period.
- Jurisdiction for disputes is limited to courts in Delhi or places where LGEIL has a branch office.
Warranty is not applicable in the following cases:
- Warranty card not completed properly at purchase.
- Completed warranty card not presented at the time of service.
- Product not operated according to instructions.
- Product used for commercial purposes.
- Product failed due to water logging, flood, fire, misuse, etc.
- Defects/malfunctions caused by improper or reckless use.
- Repairs carried out by persons other than authorized service personnel.
- Defects/malfunctions caused by external factors (lightning, abnormal voltage, Acts of God, virus, etc.).
- Issues caused by 3rd party products (voltage stabilizer, power outlet socket, MCB, extension board, etc.).
