Temperature Control
The refrigerator maintains a constant temperature regardless of room temperature changes. It is recommended to set the temperature controls for the fridge and freezer compartments and avoid frequent adjustments unless necessary.
This refrigerator features temperature control buttons or knobs for both the fridge and freezer compartments.
Default Setting: Fridge compartment default is typically `4°C` or `3°C` (for External Controller Models).
Automatic Operation: A temperature sensor in the fridge compartment allows the compressor to start and stop automatically as needed.
External Controller Model
- Freezer: Press the Freezer button repeatedly to select temperatures between -23°C and -15°C.
- Fridge: Press the Fridge button repeatedly to select temperatures between 1°C and 7°C.
Internal Controller Model
- Freezer: Press the Freezer button repeatedly to select desired temperature in 7 steps (from Cold to Coldest).
- Fridge: Refrigerator temperature is controlled by pressing the FRIDGE TEMP CONTROL button. LEDs indicate the selected temperature in 7 steps (from Cold to Coldest).
Convertible Mode
To activate/deactivate Convertible mode, press and hold the Convertible button for 3 seconds. During this mode, use the Fridge button to select temperatures between 1°C and 7°C.
Express Freeze
This feature provides quick cooling and faster ice making. Activate by pressing and holding the Express Freeze button for 3 seconds or turning the knob to select Express Freeze. This mode rapidly lowers the refrigerator temperature. The refrigerator automatically exits Express Mode after 21 hours or in case of a power cut.
Compartment Temperature Control Details
- Freezer Compartment: Temperature is controlled by rotating the knob from Minimum (Cold) to Maximum (Coldest). Note that if the freezer compartment becomes colder, the fridge compartment may become warmer, as cooled air is distributed between them.
- Fridge Compartment: Temperature can be controlled by pressing the FRIDGE TEMP CONTROL button or rotating the knob from Cold (Min.) to Coldest (Max.). LEDs indicate the selected temperature in 7 steps.
Express Fridge: Operates for 21 hours only.
Ice Making
Twist Ice Tray (Optional): Fill the tray with water, place it in the Freezer Box. To remove ice cubes, gently twist the tray.
Cube / Ball Ice Tray (Optional): Similar process for filling and freezing.
Deodorizer
The deodorizer helps remove unpleasant odors from food in the fresh food compartment without harming the food or user. To maintain the deodorizer, remove it, use a hairdryer to remove moisture or malodor, and then expose it to sunlight to remove odors via ultraviolet rays.
Door Cooling+ (Optional)
This feature provides enhanced cooling. It automatically turns off when the refrigerator is switched off.
Smart Features (Optional)
These features are available on models equipped with Wi-Fi.
Application Control
The refrigerator can be controlled via a smartphone application, offering various settings and smart features.
Smart Diagnosis
This feature assists in diagnosing and troubleshooting potential issues with the refrigerator.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
The Wi-Fi button, used with the LG ThinQ application, connects the appliance to a home Wi-Fi network. A Wi-Fi icon indicates the network connection status, illuminating when connected.
LG Electronics is not responsible for issues arising from Wi-Fi unavailability, disconnection, local network policies, or app unavailability.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean interior compartments, shelves, door racks, storage trays, and magnetic door seals regularly.
Use a lukewarm solution of mild soap or dishwashing liquid to clean the durable finish. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
Important Disposal Information (E-Waste Management)
This product is covered by the E-Waste Management Rules, India, published by MoEF & CC, Govt. of India. It is intended for recycling, dismantling, or refurbishment.
Disposal Guidelines:
- Do's:
- Hand over the product only to an authorized recycler for disposal.
- Keep the product in an isolated area after it becomes non-functional/unrepairable to prevent accidental breakage.
- Don'ts:
- Do not open the product yourself; only authorized service personnel should do so.
- Do not resell the product to unauthorized agencies, scrap dealers, or kabariwalahs.
- Do not mix the product with household waste streams.
- Do not leave replaced spare parts exposed.
Improper disposal through unauthorized agencies may attract action under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
Hazards of Improper Handling:
- Refrigerant (R134a): Overexposure may cause dizziness and loss of concentration. Liquid contact can cause irritation and frostbite.
- Refrigerant (R600a): Squirting out of pipes could ignite or cause eye injury.
- Blowing Agent (Cyclopentane): Highly flammable liquid and vapor. Harmful to aquatic life. Liquid contact may cause cold burns/frostbites. Repeated exposure can cause skin dryness.
This product complies with the requirements of Hazardous Substances as specified under E-Waste Management Rules India.
