Elfa Click-in System Top Hang: Mounting Instructions
MOUNTING INSTRUCTION CLICK-IN SYSTEM TOP HANG (PART ONE)
Top hang is one of the mounting options within the Click-in system. Everything hangs on the Top track. Screw the Top track onto the wall. Hang the hang standards on the track and click in your storage functions. Complement with the features you need for storage to fit e.g. clothing, garage or laundry room. Since the Click-in system Top hang is able to cut-to-size, it's ideal for virtually any space where the wall is conventional. The only thing you need to attach to the wall is the Top track.
Required Tools
- Screwdriver/drilling machine
- Saw (if adding sections and/or adjusting section widths)
- Leveller
Before assembling, make sure you have chosen the right screw/plug for your wall type.
START WITH THE TOP TRACK
The top track must be mounted at least 15 mm from the ceiling with the curved edge downwards.
Step 1: Positioning and Marking
Place the top track at the desired height, mark one hole in the middle.
Step 2: Drilling and Fastening
Drill a hole and fasten the top track with a screw and tighten it enough to hold the top track against the wall.
Step 3: Leveling
Place a level on the top of the top track and adjust it as required.
Step 4: Marking Remaining Holes
Mark all remaining holes.
CONNECTING TOP TRACKS - ADDING STANDARD-SIZED SECTION(S)
If you wish to connect two top tracks, start by mounting the longer piece of track (A) on the far left.
Diagram showing two pieces of track labeled A and B, with measurement indicators.
Before you mount the connecting top track (B), you'll need to cut and remove the end stop on the left side of the track. There's a marking 35 mm from the edge indicating where to make the cut.
Textual description of cut: "Cut at marking".

PLANNING NON-STANDARD SOLUTIONS AND MOUNTING YOUR HANG STANDARDS
When planning a solution from wall-to-wall, and the width of a section needs to be adjusted to fit the solution, it is recommended that the adjustment should be done in the second section from the left to get maximum flexibility.
Apart from the Top track itself, Top track cover, Wire shelves, Wire shelf baskets, and Closet rods can also be cut to size.
Diagram illustrating different Top track lengths: "1862 mm Top track (standard width)", "392 mm cut piece of Top track", with sections labeled "607 mm Standard section", "390 mm Cut section", "607 mm Standard section", "607 mm Standard section".
MOUNTING THE HANG STANDARDS AND TOP TRACK COVER
Step 1: Prepare Components
Group hang standards and click-in brackets at the appropriate height.
Step 2: Position Hang Standards
Slide the hang standards to their approximate position on the top track. With the end stop at the outer edges of the top track, the hang standard can be placed at the far ends of the track.
Step 3: Mount Storage Functions
Place the hang standards at the desired width and start mounting your storage functions.
Note: If you want to fasten the hang standards to the wall with a screw, do it after all functions in the system are mounted, to ensure the correct position of the standards. It is not necessary to fasten the hang standard to the wall; the system will stay in place once loaded. It is an optional measurement to tighten the system better to the wall.
Step 4: Attach Top Track Cover
Attach the top track cover onto the top track by clipping it on with an up-to-downwards motion.

MOUNTING WIRE SHELFS AND GLIDING FUNCTIONS
WIRE SHELF
Step 1: Shelf Structure
A wire shelf has a top and a bottom. The middle support wire is connected to the bottom of the shelf.
Step 2: Locking the Shelf
Place the bottom of the wire shelf over the notches in the click-in bracket. Lock by pressing down and backwards.
CLOSET ROD HOLDER AND CLOSET ROD
Step 1: Insert Rod Holder
Insert the closet rod holder into the slot at the bottom of the click-in bracket.
Step 2: Prepare Closet Rod
Press end caps into the outer edges of the closet rod.
Step 3: Mount Rod
Mount the rod into the rod holders. First, snap joining rods into a closet rod holder and second, snap the outer end of each rod into the outer closet rod holders.
INSTALLING THE GLIDING FRAME WITH BASKETS
Step 1: Align and Lock Left Side
Begin at the left click-in bracket. Align the metal tabs on the gliding frame with the cutout notches of the click-in bracket. When aligned, press the gliding frame using your hand at the left rounded corner until you hear it lock into place.
Step 2: Confirm Lock
When aligned, press the gliding frame using your hand at the left rounded corner until you hear it lock into place.
Step 3: Install Right Side and Basket
Repeat on the right side. Then "roll in" the frame with the mesh or wire basket.
Diagram description: Two states shown: "Unlocked" and "Locked". In "Unlocked", a "Metal Tab" is visible. In "Locked", the "Metal Tab" is engaged, and a "Knob" is also visible.
