Installation Steps:

Refer to your custom elfa design for the precise placement of the Hanging Standards. If your design specifies 2' spacing between Hanging Standards, use the provided elfa Spacer to ensure accurate positioning.

2. Ventilated Shelves

Products Needed:

Installation Steps:

  1. Install Ventilated Shelves starting with the shortest and progressing to the longest, irrespective of their location in the design.
  2. Identify the top and bottom of each Ventilated Shelf; the middle support wire(s) attach to the bottom.
  3. Align the shelf wires with the Bracket notches.
  4. Insert the shelf, ensuring the end wires are within the Brackets.
  5. Secure the Shelf by pressing down on its middle and pushing it towards the wall.

Repositioning a Ventilated Shelf:

To reposition a shelf after it's attached to the Brackets, grasp the Brackets, lift the front of the shelf towards the ceiling and outward to detach the unit from the Standards.

Removing a Ventilated Shelf:

To remove a shelf from a Bracket while it's on the Standards, stabilize the Standard with one hand. With the other hand, grip the back of the shelf and pull upwards and forwards to release.

Installation Steps:

  1. Insert the Closet Rod Holder into the bottom slot of each Ventilated Shelf Bracket according to your custom elfa design for closet rod placement.
  2. Gently tap the End Caps onto both ends of the Closet Rod.
  3. Snap the Closet Rod into the installed Closet Rod Holders.

Installing Closet Rods that Share a Holder:

For longer designs where closet rods connect, tap End Caps only onto the unjoined ends of each rod. Position the joined rods in the center of the Closet Rod Holder, then place the outer ends into the holder.

4. Finishing Touches

Installing a Top Track Cover:

Install the Top Track Cover only after all components are placed and you are satisfied with the arrangement of your elfa Shelving. The Top Track Cover fits between the Hanging Standards, so the shelves must be in place to ensure correct spacing. Begin with the longest pieces. Insert the bottom of the Top Track Cover into the bottom of the Top Track, then ease the top into the top of the Top Track. Measure the areas where shorter pieces of the Top Track Cover are needed. Mark the Top Track Cover for cuts; it can be easily cut with scissors. Avoid overlapping segments of the Top Track Cover.

Installing Bracket Covers:

Left and Right Bracket Covers are distinct and labeled accordingly. Align the outer edge of the Bracket Cover with the outer edge of the Ventilated Shelf Bracket. Press down from back to front to secure it in place.
