Installation Instructions

FIG.1 WALL SWITCH: Illustration of a hand operating a wall light switch.

FIG.2 BREAKER PANEL: Illustration of an electrical breaker panel with multiple switches.

NOTE: PLEASE INSTALL THIS WALL LANTERN 1.2 METERS (3.94 FEET) ABOVE THE GROUND.

FIG.3 FUSE BOX: Illustration of a fuse box with fuses.

STEP 01: POWER OFF

Turn the wall switch to the "OFF" position. Depending on your fuse box type: Either turn the main (Master) switch to the "OFF" position to cut off power to the entire home, or turn off the individual switch supplying power to the fixture location. Alternatively, unscrew the fuse supplying power to the fixture installation location.

STEP 02: CLEAN THE LIGHT

Clean the glass and sensor surface of the wall light with a soft and damp cloth. Dust can affect the sensor's sensitivity and the light's brightness.

STEP 03: CONNECT THE WIRE

Connect the black live wire, white neutral wire, and ground wire using wire connectors. Ensure the wires are connected securely.

STEP 04: FIX THE LIGHT

Mount the lamp on the wall using mounting screws. Unload the light body by taking off two screws. Install an A19 bulb (E26 base) into the wall light (bulb not included).

STEP 05: POWER ON

Turn on the main (Master) switch to restore power. The light will turn on automatically.

Lamp Structure Description

The lamp structure includes: mounting screws, black live wire, wire connectors, white neutral wire, ground wire, glass shades, and a bulb socket (bulb not included).

Operation Description

  1. Turn on the light and wait 30 seconds for the sensor to warm up, then select a function.
  2. Unscrew the top knob and top cover to adjust different modes, sensitivity, and delay time. Reinstall the top knob and cover to ensure waterproofing reliability, as shown in Figures 1-4.

Remarks on Adjustments

The lighting time can be adjusted. The factory setting is AUTO mode (20 seconds, maximum preset induction distance is 10 meters).

AUTO MODE

Set the slide switch to AUTO. The fixture remains off during the day and turns on automatically at night when human body activity is sensed. It turns off when the person leaves or remains stationary for 20-180 seconds (according to the time setting). The factory preset time is 20s, and the brightness is 100%.

TIME - Adjust Lighting Time

Use a flathead screwdriver (not included) to adjust the "Time" knob. Turn clockwise to increase lighting time, and counterclockwise to decrease it. Each 1/4 clockwise rotation increases the lighting time by 60 seconds. The maximum is 180 seconds.

SENS - Adjust Sensing Distance

Use a flathead screwdriver (not included) to adjust the "Sens" knob. Turn clockwise to increase sensing distance, and counterclockwise to decrease it. The factory preset distance is 10M (Maximum), and the adjustable range is 3-10 meters.

AUTO+ MODE

Set the slide switch to AUTO+. The fixture stays OFF at daytime. At night, it maintains a low-level brightness (20%-50%, manually adjustable) if no motion is detected within 20-180 seconds. It automatically adjusts to 100% brightness when human body activity is sensed. It returns to the preset low-level brightness when the person leaves or remains stationary for the set time (20-180 seconds). The factory preset time is 20s, and the brightness is 20%.

LOW LEVEL - Adjust Low-Level Brightness

Use a flathead screwdriver (not included) to adjust the "Sens" knob. Turn clockwise to increase brightness, and counterclockwise to decrease it. Note: This function is only available for Incandescent bulbs or dimmable LED bulbs.

PC MODE

Set the slide switch to PC. Lights turn off during the day and on at dusk. Other functions are inactive.

Notes on Sensor Performance

  1. The sensitivity of the motion sensor increases as the environmental temperature drops. For best performance, gently clean the lens with a soft cloth every 1 or 2 months to ensure maximum sensitivity.
  2. The magnitude of adjustment for sensitivity and time may not precisely correspond to the amount the knob is turned.
  3. When installed at a height of 6.5 feet (approx. 2 meters) at 77 degrees Fahrenheit (approx. 25°C), the light provides a maximum detection distance of 40 feet (approx. 12 meters) and a detection range of 180 degrees. (See Fig.11, Fig.12)
  4. The sensor is more sensitive to motion across its detection path than motion directly towards it. (See Fig.13)
  5. To reduce possible nuisances, do not mount the fixture near a heat source like an air conditioner, vent, or furnace exhaust, or in a direction facing any reflecting object or other light sources.
  6. Ensure the light is mounted straight on the wall; otherwise, the detection distance may be limited.

Fig.11: Diagram illustrating detection distance: a horizontal line labeled '40'' and a vertical line labeled '6.5'' (feet), with a shaded area indicating detection range.

Fig.12: Diagram illustrating detection range: a semi-circular arc indicating a 180-degree detection angle.

Fig.13: Diagrams illustrating sensor sensitivity: one showing 'Least sensitivity' with arrows indicating motion detection from the sides, and another showing 'Most sensitivity' with arrows indicating motion detection directly towards the sensor.
