Introduction
This guide provides detailed instructions for the installation of the Verkada CD63 Indoor Dome Camera. It covers everything from what's in the box to the final mounting and adjustment steps.
What's Included
The package contains the Indoor Dome Camera, a mount plate, a T10 Torx Security Screwdriver, wall mount screws, machine screws, washers, wing nuts, and wall anchors.
What You'll Need
- A working internet connection
- 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch or PoE injector
- A smartphone or laptop
- A #2 Phillips screwdriver or power drill
- Appropriate drill bits for mounting
- A Cat5 or Cat6 Ethernet cable
Connecting the Device
Connect the CD63 to your network using the Ethernet port. For easy registration and setup, scan the QR code on the product or visit verkada.com/start to register manually.
Mounting Instructions
Follow the step-by-step mounting instructions, including removing the top cover and clear bubble, detaching the camera from the base plate, marking and drilling holes, and leading the Ethernet cable through the mount plate. Secure the camera by twisting it clockwise and tightening the mount plate thumb screws.
Adjusting the Camera
Adjust the camera to the desired viewing angle and rotation. The lines on the lens rubber indicate landscape image orientation. Fine-tune the orientation and field of view using the Verkada Command interface.
Securing the Camera
Carefully place the clear bubble back onto the camera base, aligning the top cover screw positions. Secure the cover by tightening the T10 Torx Security Screws and removing the protective film from the clear bubble.
