Storing the Guitar
- Keep the instrument away from fire or flames and on a low, stable surface.
- Do not lean the instrument against walls, especially near children.
- Long-term storage in a hard case may adversely affect the guitar. Open the case occasionally to allow air circulation.
- If the instrument will not be used for an extended period, store it in a place other than those listed below:
- Locations subject to direct sunlight.
- Locations subject to extremely high or low temperatures.
- Locations subject to high humidity, dust, or vibration.
- Inside a car during summer, where temperatures can become extremely high.
Tuning Machine Tension Adjustment
The tuning machines feature spring-loaded mechanisms that automatically compensate for wear, preventing backlash. The pressure required to turn the machines can be adjusted. Each machine has a tension adjustment screw.
Turning the screw clockwise tightens the machine. Adjust the tuning machines so they are firm but turn smoothly. This adjustment is usually unnecessary, and overtightening can lead to premature wear of the tuning machines.

Changing the Strings
Follow these steps to change the guitar strings:
- Unwind the old string at the tuning machine on the headstock (it is recommended to change one string at a time).
- Push the old string through the guitar body via the hole in the bridge.
- Insert a new string through the corresponding hole. Compare the thickness of the new string to the old one to ensure it is the correct gauge.
- Run the string over the bridge saddle and along the neck.
- Feed the string through the hole in the tuning machine post.
- Bend the string around the post and wind the string using the tuning peg.
