This Quick Reference card provides brief instructions on connecting your projector and using common features. For detailed setup and usage, consult the online User's Guide.

Connecting Your Projector
The diagram illustrates common connection cables and the projector's rear panel ports.

Getting Started
Turning the Projector On
- Turn on your computer or image source.
- Remove the lens cover, if necessary.
- Press the [power-on] button on the projector or the remote control. The projector is ready when the status light is solid blue.
Note: If the Direct Power On function is enabled, you can turn the projector on by simply plugging it in or flipping the switch controlling the outlet. See the online User's Guide for setup.
If your image does not appear, see "Switching Between Image Sources" or "Troubleshooting."
Note: Models EB-PQ2216B, EB-PQ2216W, and EB-PQ2220B require 220 V for full brightness. Using a 120 V source results in reduced brightness and potentially limited functionality. Refer to the online User's Guide for details.
Changing the Language of the Projector Menus
The default menu language is English. To change it:
- Press the [menu] button to access the menu system.
- Select Extended > Language.
- Select your desired language.
- Press the [menu] button to exit.
Image and Source Management
Switching Between Image Sources
Press the [search] button or a source button on the remote control, or use the Source Search button on the projector.

Changing Screen Type
Set the Screen Type setting to match the screen's aspect ratio.
- Press the [menu] button.
- Select Extended > Display > Screen > Screen Type.
- Select the screen's aspect ratio.
Note: The displayed image should match the screen's size and aspect ratio.
- Press the [menu] button to exit.
Note: After changing the screen type, you may need to adjust the projected image's aspect ratio using the Aspect button on the remote control, depending on the input signal.
Adjusting Image Position
- Press the [lens-shift] button on the remote control or the [lens] button on the projector.

- Use the arrow buttons [up-arrow] [down-arrow] [left-arrow] [right-arrow] to adjust the projected image position.
- Press the [esc] button to finish the adjustment.
If the projector is on a table, you can level the image by adjusting the projector's feet.
Zooming and Focusing
- On the remote control, press the [zoom] or [focus] button.
- On the projector, press the [lens] button repeatedly until the focus or zoom adjustment screen appears.

- Press the [esc] button to finish the adjustment.
Correcting Image Shape
If your image is uneven on the sides, use the projector's geometric correction features, such as Quick Corner® and H/V-Keystone. See the online User's Guide for details.
Making Other Image Adjustments
For advanced image quality adjustments, including color, position, and Edge Blending for multi-projector setups, consult the online User's Guide.
Powering Down and Troubleshooting
Turning the Projector Off
Press the [standby] button to turn the projector off. Confirm by pressing [standby] again if prompted.
Note: If Direct Power On is enabled, you can unplug the projector or switch off the outlet instead. See the online User's Guide.
Epson's Instant Off® technology allows immediate power-off without a cool-down period.
Troubleshooting
Blank Screen or No Signal Message
- Ensure the projector status light is solid blue (not flashing) and the lens cover is removed.
- Verify that all cables are connected correctly. Refer to the online User's Guide.
- Check the image source selection. See "Switching Between Image Sources." Ensure the source device is turned on.
Projector and Notebook Display Mismatch
- Windows®: Hold down the Windows key and press P simultaneously, then click Duplicate.
- Mac: On macOS 13.x or 14.x, select System Settings > Displays, then press the + pop-up menu button and choose a display to mirror. On macOS 12.x, select System Preferences > Displays > Display Settings, choose the projector, and select the mirror option. On macOS 11.x and older, open System Preferences > Displays, click the Arrangement tab, and select the Mirror Displays checkbox.
