Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Vivitar 2.0 Channel Soundbar, item V60040BT. Enhance your audio by connecting this speaker to your television. You can also listen to music wirelessly using a Bluetooth compatible device. Please read this manual first before using your soundbar to get the best results.

Important Safety Precautions

When using your 2.0 Channel Soundbar, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

• Do not allow children to play with your speaker. Adult supervision is strongly advised.
• Do not use your speaker near water, in wet conditions, or put on wet surfaces.
• Do not expose your speaker to excessive heat, fire, or direct sunlight. Do not expose your speaker to temperatures above 104°F (40°C).
• This product should not be handled roughly. Always press the buttons and switches carefully.
• Do not use in extremely dry environments, as this can lead to static discharge during usage.
• Do not tamper with the electrical housing of your speaker.
• Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. Contact a qualified service center if your speaker is in need of service.
• Do not expose your speaker to extreme physical force.
• Your speaker is not intended for commercial use.
• Do not place this product near objects that generate a strong magnetic field.
• Unplug your speaker when not in use for long periods of time and during lightning storms.
• Use a soft cloth to clean the exterior of the speaker. Never use any harsh chemicals or detergents.
• Please recycle or dispose of your speaker properly based on the laws and rules of your municipality. Contact local recycling facilities and/or the manufacturer of your speaker for further information.

Charging the Soundbar

Using the included power adapter, insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet. Insert the other end into the port on the back of the soundbar.

LED Indicator

• Red indicator: POWER
• Blue indicator flashing: Bluetooth mode
• Pink indicator: USB mode
• White indicator: LINE mode
• Green indicator: OPTICAL mode
• Yellow indicator: HDMI(ARC) mode

Pairing the Soundbar

Press the power button to turn the soundbar On. It will automatically go into Bluetooth pairing mode.

Go to the Bluetooth page in the Settings app on your phone. Make sure Bluetooth is turned On before connecting to the available device "V60040BT".

Listening to Music (with Audio Inputs)

1. AUX Input

Plug one end of the Auxiliary cable (not included) into the AUX jack on your television. Connect the other end of the cable into the LINE jack on the back of the soundbar. Then, press the Mode button on the remote repeatedly until the speaker is in Auxiliary mode.

2. Optical Socket

Plug one end of the Optical cable (not included) into the jack on your television. Connect the other end of the cable into the Optical jack on the back of the soundbar. Then, press the Mode button on the remote repeatedly until the speaker is in Optical mode.

3. HDMI-ARC Input

Plug one end of an HDMI cable (not included) into the HDMI ARC port on your television. Connect the other end of the cable into the HDMI port on the back of the soundbar. HDMI will detect by soundbar automatically. Also, you can press the Mode button on the remote repeatedly to find HDMI mode again.

Speaker Controls

The soundbar features controls on its top panel:

• Power/Mode: Press to turn On/Off or cycle through input modes.
• Play/Pause: Press to play or pause audio.
• VOL+/-: Press to decrease or increase volume.

Select from various equalizer presets:

• EQ1-NRL
• EQ2-ROC
• EQ3-POP

Replay Mode (only works in USB mode)

• Single loop
• Folder play
• Random play
• All loop

The lifetime of the remote control battery is approximately 1 year.

Vivitar One Year Warranty

This warranty covers the original consumer purchaser only and is not transferable.

This warranty covers products that fail to function properly UNDER NORMAL USAGE, due to defects in material or workmanship. Your product will be repaired or replaced at no charge for parts or labor for a period of one year.

What Is Not Covered by Warranty

Damages or malfunctions not resulting from defects in material or workmanship and damages or malfunctions from other than normal use, including but limited to, repair by unauthorized parties, tampering, modification, or accident.

To receive warranty service along with the name and address of an authorized product service center, the original consumer purchaser must contact Vivitar for problem determination and service procedures. Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice, evidencing that the product is within the applicable warranty period(s), MUST be presented in order to obtain the requested service. It is your responsibility to properly package and send any defective products along with a dated copy of proof of purchase, a written explanation of the problem, and a valid return address to the authorized service center at your expense. Do not include any other items or accessories with the defective product. Any products received by the authorized service center that are not covered by warranty will be returned unrepaired.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state or province to province. Contact your authorized retailer to determine if another warranty applies.
