Unboxing and Setup

Follow these steps for safe unboxing and initial setup of your Xiaomi LED TV.

Remove the accessories

Carefully remove the A and B styrofoam protectors. Take out the power cord, remote control, and screws from protector C.

Take out the TV set

Remove the TV set from its protector and place it on a level surface with the screen facing down. This step should be performed by two people to avoid damaging the screen.

Installation

Installing Legs

Both left and right legs are clearly marked. Install them as shown in the diagram.

Turning On Your TV

Connect one end of the provided power cord to the TV and the other to an AC power outlet. Push the power button located at the bottom of the TV (or press the power button on the remote) to turn it on.

Follow the on-screen instructions of the quick start guide to set up the TV.

*Remove the protective film from the TV frame and the back side of the TV set before turning on.

Using the Remote Control

Familiarize yourself with the remote control functions:

• Power: Short press to power On/Off TV; Long press to select Power Off or Restart TV.
• Google Assistant: Short press and release to talk to Google Assistant.
• OK: Press to confirm current selection during navigation. You can pause/play the current video during playback, except for Live Channels (Set-Top Box or RF).
• Android TV Home: Short press to quickly return to the Android TV Home screen.
• PatchWall Home: Short press to quickly return to the PatchWall Home screen.
• Direction: Navigate up/down or left/right through content. During playback, use left/right buttons to rewind/fast-forward.
• Back: Go back to the previous level.

Important Precautions

Installation

• Install the TV near an AC power outlet that is easily accessible for plugging and unplugging.
• Place the TV on a smooth, flat surface to prevent it from falling and causing injury or damage.
• For TV wall mounting, it is recommended to use an authorized TV wall mount. Contact Xiaomi service for details.
• Ensure correct screw diameter and length for wall mounting to prevent TV from falling or internal damage.

Moving

• Disconnect all cables before moving the TV.
• Large TVs require two or more people for safe moving. Avoid applying pressure to the LED panel and prevent excessive shaking or vibrations.
• When moving the TV or for repairs, use the original box and packaging materials.

Ventilation

• Do not cover ventilation holes or insert objects into the case.
• Ensure adequate space for ventilation around the TV.

Wall Mounting

• To ensure proper ventilation and prevent dust buildup, do not mount the TV flat, upside-down, backwards, or side-mounted.
• Do not place the TV on a shelf, carpet, bed, or closet.
• Do not cover the TV with fabric (like curtains) or other materials (like newspapers).

AC Power Cord Safety

• Use the AC power cord and socket correctly to avoid fire, electric shock, damage, or personal injury.
• Ensure the plug is fully inserted into the AC outlet.
• Use the TV with a 100-240V AC power source.
• Disconnect the AC power cord for safety when connecting cables. Be careful not to trip over cables.
• Disconnect the AC power cord from the outlet before performing any work or moving the TV.
• Keep the AC power cord away from heat sources.

General Safety and Usage

AC Power Cord Care

• Unplug the AC power plug and clean it regularly. A plug covered with dust and moisture can deteriorate insulation and pose a fire risk.
• Avoid pinching, bending, modifying, or twisting the AC power cord, which can expose or break wires.
• Do not place heavy objects on the AC power cord.
• Do not pull the AC power cord when disconnecting power.
• Avoid connecting too many devices to the same AC power outlet.
• Use only suitable AC power outlets.

Children Safety

• Do not allow children to climb on the TV.
• Keep small objects out of reach of children to prevent accidental swallowing.

Optional Items

• Keep optional accessories or devices emitting electromagnetic radiation away from the TV to prevent image distortion or noise.

Screen Curve

A slight screen curve may appear due to materials and usage conditions. Thin TV sets might appear more curved than they are. TVs are tested within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C to ensure normal usage safety. Products undergo quality assessment procedures.

Advertising

The TV displays advertising when switched on and off. This advertising cannot be removed or altered, and Xiaomi has no control over third-party advertising content.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

• If the AC power cord is damaged.
• If the AC power outlet is not suitable.
• If the TV is damaged due to a drop or impact.
• If any liquid or solid object falls into the case through an outlet: turn off the TV, unplug the AC power cord immediately, and contact the Xiaomi service center for assistance.

Usage Restrictions

Do not install or use the TV in the following places, environments, or conditions to avoid malfunction, fire, electric shock, damage, or personal injury:

• Places: Outdoors (in direct sunlight), by the sea, on a ship or vessel, inside a car, in a medical institution, at an unstable location, next to water, or in places exposed to rain, moisture, or mildew. Placement in areas with high humidity (e.g., public bath dressing rooms) may cause damage from airborne substances.

Environment, Conditions, and Care

Environment

• Avoid hot, damp, dusty places, or areas prone to insects or mechanical shock.
• Keep away from flammable objects (like candles).
• Do not expose the TV to dripping or splashing water. Do not place liquid-containing items (like vases) on the TV.
• Avoid placing the TV in damp or dusty areas, or rooms with steam or fumes (near stoves or humidifiers) to prevent fire, electric shock, or deformation.
• Do not boil water, heat food, cook, or use mosquito coils near the TV.

Conditions

• Do not use the TV with wet hands, when the case is open, or with unauthorized accessories.
• In case of a lightning storm, disconnect the TV from the AC power cord and outlet.
• Do not install the TV in an open-air location. Failure to follow these conditions may result in personal injury, damage, or objects striking the TV.

Damage to Mi TV Screen

• Do not throw objects at the TV, as this can break the screen and cause serious injury.
• If the TV surface is damaged, do not touch it before unplugging the AC power cord to avoid electric shock.

Operating Conditions

• Operating temperature: 0°C–45°C
• Humidity: 20%–80%
• Storage temperature: -15°C–40°C
• Relative humidity: <80%

Precautions

• Watch TV in appropriate lighting conditions. Insufficient light or prolonged viewing can strain eyesight.
• The screen and case may get hot during operation; this is normal.
• The TV does not support decoding of DTS-CD bitstream from HDMI IN.

Using and Cleaning the Screen/Case

Before cleaning, ensure the AC power cord is disconnected from the outlet.

• Wipe the screen/case with a soft cloth to remove dust. For stubborn dust, use a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent.
• Do not spray water or detergent directly onto the TV, as it may drip to the base or external parts, causing malfunction.
• Avoid using scrub pads, alkaline/acid cleaners, scouring powder, or volatile liquids (alcohol, thinners, insecticides). These can damage the screen surface and casing materials.
• Regularly clean the vents to ensure proper ventilation.
• When adjusting the TV angle, move it slowly to prevent it from moving or slipping from the base.

Important Notice and E-Waste Disposal

Important Notice

There is no protective film on the screen. Do not attempt to remove anything from the screen.

E-Waste Management

Xiaomi products comply with the reduction of hazardous substances requirements of the E-waste Rules 2016. Hazardous substance content (exemptions apply as per SCHEDULE II):

• Lead (Pb) – not over 0.1% by weight
• Cadmium (Cd) – not over 0.01% by weight
• Mercury (Hg) – not over 0.1% by weight
• Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) – not over 0.1% by weight
• Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) – not over 0.1% by weight
• Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) – not over 0.1% by weight

For recycling and resource utilization, please return this product to a nearby authorized Collection Centre, registered Dismantler or Recycler, or Xiaomi Service Centre.

The Wheelie Bin symbol indicates that e-waste is hazardous and requires special recycling, not disposal in municipal bins.

How to Dispose of This Product

Contact the nearest Xiaomi service centre, call the Toll Free Number: 1800 103 6286, or write to service.in@xiaomi.com for instructions on handling the product during and after its use.

Do's:

• Always refer to the product catalogue for end-of-life equipment handling information.
• Ensure only Authorized Recyclers repair and handle your electronic products.
• Always use Authorized E-waste Recyclers for disposal of products at the end of their life.
• Drop used electronic products, batteries, or accessories at your nearest Authorized E-Waste Collection Center / Collection Point.
• Wherever possible, separate packaging material according to responsible waste disposal options and recycling guidelines.

Don'ts:

• Do not dismantle your electronic products yourself.
• Do not dispose of electronics in bins marked "Do not Dispose".
• Do not give e-waste to informal sectors like local scrap dealers or rag pickers.
