Installation Steps
Step 1: Preparation
Gather necessary tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, torque wrench, drill, sealant gun) and parts. Estimated installation time: 5 minutes. For assistance, contact (+34) 976 457 130.
Step 2: Vehicle Preparation
Position the tow bar assembly onto the vehicle's rear chassis. Secure using 12 screws (indicated by '12x').
Step 3: Bumper Modification (if required)
Remove 3 screws from the vehicle's bumper area. A diagram shows a person removing screws from the bumper side.
Step 4: Bumper Removal
Detach a section of the bumper. A diagram shows a person carefully removing a bumper panel, indicated by an arrow.
Step 5: Accessing Mounting Points
Open the vehicle's tailgate to access the rear. A diagram shows the tailgate open, revealing mounting points.
Step 6: Tow Bar Placement
Insert the tow bar assembly into the designated mounting location on the vehicle's rear. A diagram shows the tow bar being slid into place, with a label '1' indicating the tow bar and '2' indicating the connection point.
Step 7: Securing the Tow Bar
Attach the tow bar to the vehicle chassis using 8 screws (indicated by '8x'). Diagrams show screws being inserted and tightened.
Step 8: Mounting Bracket Installation
Attach a mounting bracket (labeled '9') to the vehicle's frame using screws. A magnified view shows the bracket and its attachment points.
Step 9: Final Tightening
Ensure components 10 and 12 are correctly positioned and tightened. A diagram shows screws being tightened with a torque wrench, with a 'no' symbol ❌ indicating not to overtighten.
Step 10: Second Bracket Installation
Attach another bracket using 4 screws (indicated by '4x'). Tighten M10 bolts to 57 Nm.
Step 11: Tow Bar Arm Attachment
Attach the tow bar arms using bolts (11) and nuts (13). Tighten M12 bolts to 87 Nm.
Step 12: Final Connections
Secure the tow bar assembly. Tighten M10 bolts to 57 Nm.
Step 13: Drilling Template
A template is provided for drilling holes. Measurements indicate specific distances: 50mm, 70mm, and 80mm from reference points. Requires drilling 3 holes.
Step 14: Drilling Template
Another template for drilling. Measurements: 180mm, 80mm, 40mm, and 80mm. Requires drilling 3 holes.
Safety and Usage
Correct Tow Bar Installation:
✔️ The tow ball is correctly positioned horizontally and vertically.
Incorrect Tow Bar Installation:
❌ The tow ball is angled or misaligned.
Load and Speed Limits: Indicates maximum load (S Kg) and maximum speed (VMAX 120 km/h). A warning symbol ⚠️ indicates caution.
Tow Ball Operation
Attaching Tow Ball (IN):
- Insert the tow ball mechanism.
- Insert the locking pin.
- Rotate the handle to lock (indicated by 'CLICK!').
- Ensure the green indicator is visible.
- Rotate the handle 180 degrees.
- Secure with the red safety pin.
- Ensure the yellow indicator is visible.
- Lock the handle.
Detaching Tow Ball (OUT):
- Remove the red safety pin.
- Rotate the handle 180 degrees.
- Unlock the handle.
- Pull out the locking pin.
- Remove the tow ball mechanism.
- Ensure the green indicator is visible.
- Rotate the handle.
- Store the tow ball.
Warranty and Legal Information
Enganches Aragón provides a two-year warranty on its products from the delivery date, in accordance with EU Directive 1999/44/CE and Law 23/2003. The warranty is limited to the replacement of defective products and does not cover consequential damages.
Modifications to the tow bar systems are prohibited and will void the warranty and product approval.

Workshop Certificate (Certificado de Taller) and Declaration of Correct Installation (DICHIARAZIONE DI CORRETTO MONTAGGIO) forms are provided for official record-keeping of the installation.
