The GoGEN Smart Center application enhances the experience with GoGEN Smart TVs, combining advanced technology with home entertainment.

Application Installation

The GoGEN Smart Center application is available for free on tablets and smartphones with Android operating systems on Google Play and for iOS on iTunes.

Connecting Smart TV and Tablet/Smartphone

For proper connection, all devices (Smart TV, tablet, or smartphone) must be connected to the same local network, which is also connected to the Internet. This can be achieved via wired or Wi-Fi connection. (Note: For Wi-Fi ready Smart TVs, a Wi-Fi adapter may need to be purchased separately).

Network Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates a typical home network setup. An Internet connection is provided via a Wi-Fi router. The Smart TV, tablet, and smartphone are all connected wirelessly to the Wi-Fi router, forming a local network. This setup ensures all devices can communicate with each other and access the internet.

After connecting all devices to the same data network, the GoGEN Smart Center application will automatically search for available Smart TVs on the network upon launch and offer connection options.

App Interface Description: Upon selecting a Smart TV for connection, a dialog box allows enabling automatic connection to that specific TV. Another dialog box offers the option to load the program list from your Smart TV into the GoGEN Smart Center application.

Application Control - Current Broadcast / Program Selection

The initial screen of the Smart Center application displays an overview of currently broadcast programs, with the top half showing program listings for prime time. Tapping on any program reveals detailed information and further options for interacting with that program.

The top bar contains tabs for various functions:

MOJE KANÁLY (My Channels): View scheduled programs in prime time and currently airing programs.
TV: View currently airing programs and upcoming programs.
NAHRÁVKY (Recordings): View set programs for recording and reminders for broadcast start.
EPG: View the Electronic Program Guide.
APLIKACE (Applications): Display all installed Smart TV applications.
NASTAVENÍ (Settings): Display settings and options for the GoGEN Smart Center application.

The bottom section contains buttons for controlling selected application functions:

⬆️ (Up Arrow Icon): Used to display the touch remote control.
Follow me: Transfers TV broadcast to the tablet or smartphone screen.
Internet: Launches the Smart TV internet browser.
? (Microphone Icon): Opens the voice control menu for the application/Smart TV.

A long press anywhere on the program guide screen reveals a menu of available channels (e.g., CT1, CT2, CT24, CT4, Prima LOVE, Prima, Prima COOL, Óčko, Nova, Nova CINEMA). These can be customized to display your favorite channels on the home screen.

Program Details and Social Media Integration

A short press on any program displays detailed information about the program, along with additional useful information and functions.

The top bar tabs provide detailed information about program creators and actors, as well as previews of related videos.

The right side displays posts from Twitter and Facebook commenting on the selected program.

The bottom bar offers several buttons:

SLEDOVAT (Watch): Switch the Smart TV to the currently broadcast program/channel.
NAHRÁT (Record): Add a selected program for recording.
PŘIPOMENOUT (Remind): Add a selected program to be reminded before its broadcast.

Touch Remote Control

The touch remote control can be accessed via the ⬆️ (Up Arrow Icon) symbol in the bottom left corner of the Smart Center application.

Virtual Remote Description: The virtual remote control interface provides access to most functions of a standard Smart TV remote. Additionally, on the left side, you can find:

Media share: For sharing tablet/smartphone content on the Smart TV screen.
[Apps] (App Icon): Button to display applications installed on your Smart TV.
[Internet] (Internet Icon): Button to launch the internet browser.
[Keyboard] (Keyboard Icon): Button to display the QWERTZ keyboard.

Voice Control

Pressing the microphone button displays all available voice commands that the application understands, allowing you to control all functions of your Smart TV.

Pressing the microphone button labeled "Mluvte" (Speak) prepares the application to record and recognize your voice commands for convenient Smart TV control.

Setting Up Recordings and Reminders

In the detailed view of a scheduled program, you can use the RECORD and REMIND buttons to select a program for recording or to set a reminder before its broadcast.

To record programs, a USB flash drive or external HDD must be connected to the Smart TV's USB slot for storing recorded program data (approximately 2 GB of data per hour of recording).

All programs selected for recording or reminders can be managed in the RECORDINGS tab on the application's top bar, where they can also be removed.

EPG - Electronic Program Guide

The Electronic Program Guide displays scheduled programs in a graphical format, organized by channel. Scrolling up and down allows you to view individual channels as tuned on your Smart TV. Scrolling left and right navigates through programs by time. You can also use the buttons in the top bar to select common timeframes, such as current broadcast, prime time, today, tomorrow, and the day after.

Controlling Smart TV Apps and Web Browser

For quick access to your Smart TV applications, use the APPLICATIONS tab in the GoGEN Smart Center application's top bar or the [Apps] button on the touch remote. This section lists all installed applications on your Smart TV.

Similarly, the [Internet] button launches the Smart TV's internet browser, transforming your tablet's screen into a touch surface for convenient cursor control of the browser.

Follow Me - Transferring TV Broadcast to Tablet/Smartphone

The Follow me function allows you to transfer the current TV broadcast from your Smart TV to your tablet or smartphone screen. This is useful for situations where you want to watch a program but need to move away from your Smart TV.

To use this function, a USB flash drive or external HDD must be connected to the Smart TV's USB slot. Additionally, the Vitamio player must be installed on your tablet. The GoGEN Smart Center application will assist in installing this player from Google Play for Android or iTunes for iOS.

Media Share - Presenting Multimedia Content

The Media share function allows you to display multimedia content from your tablet/smartphone on the Smart TV screen.

After pressing the Media share button, the GoGEN Smart Center application scans your tablet/smartphone's memory and displays a selection of three content categories:

IMAGES
MUSIC
VIDEOS

Once a data type is selected, you can navigate through your stored images, videos, and music by swiping left/right on your tablet's display. Swiping upwards sends the selected file to the Smart TV for display or playback. Swiping downwards returns the displayed/played file from the Smart TV back to the tablet.

The Media share function supports *.jpg for images, *.mp4 for video, and *.mp3 for music and spoken word.

Application Settings

Offers several practical settings to further enhance the application's usability, including automating certain settings displayed upon application launch.

Exiting the Application

To exit the GoGEN Smart Center application on your tablet or phone, use the same method as exiting any other application.
