ATTENTION:
This is an abbreviated programming manual addressing basic program settings for an IXG Series system using the IXG Support Tool. A complete set of instructions (IXG Operation Manual / IXG Support Tool Setting Manual) can be found at www.aiphone.com/ix-ixg-series, along with additional literature and media.

Introduction
The IXW-MAA-SOFT is a variant of the IXW-MAA IP relay adaptor that contains licenses for IX-SOFT PC master station software. It is programmed in the system as an I/O adaptor and offers the same features as the standard IXW-MAA. This guide covers adding the IXW-MAA-SOFT to the system, adding instances of IX-SOFT, and programming relay output functions. These programming steps will also work with the legacy IXW-MA-SOFT. IXG Support Tool has programming menus on the left side of the program and along the top. Navigation instructions for the left side menu are given in the format Menu, Submenu. Example: Function Settings, SIF Settings. Navigation instructions for the top menu are given in the format Menu, Submenu. Example: Connection(S), Upload Settings. This guide assumes that the rest of the system has already been programmed in IXG Support Tool. If this is not the case, follow the IXG Series Complete Quick Start Programming Guide here: https://www.aiphone.com/IXG-Series-QuickStartGuide IXG Support Tool can be downloaded here: https://www.aiphone.com/IXG-SupportTool IX-SOFT can be downloaded here: https://www.aiphone.com/products/ix-soft-pc-master-station-software
Adding an IXW-MAA to the System
Navigate to Site Settings, I/O Adaptor Registration. Place a check mark under Enable on the first line. The Station Name can also be changed. Multiple IXW-MAAs can be added using the same steps. Click Save .
Adding IX-SOFT to the System
To add IX-SOFT instances to the system, navigate to Site Settings, Units/Stations. IX-SOFT is added to the system under the Master/Tenant station column in a commercial unit. Once all of the IX-SOFT instances have been added, click Save .
To finish the initial setup for the added IX-SOFT instances and I/O adaptor, use the IXG Series Complete Quick Start Guide linked above and follow the steps listed on pages 3-10 for initial setup and programming. This will cover providing the stations with network information, which is needed for the next step of this guide.
While associating the IX-SOFT instances, make sure that IX-SOFT is open and running on the PCs that will use it.

Network and SIF Settings
Navigate to Network Settings, IP Address. This will display the stations and their network information. These can be adjusted as needed. Record the IP address of the IXW-MAA-SOFT for the next step, then click Save .
Navigate to Function Settings, SIF. Set SIF Functionality to Enable for each station that will send signals to the IXW-MAA-SOFT, as well as for the IX-SOFT instances that will get their licenses from the IXW-MAA-SOFT.
Under SIF Settings, set the following for IX-SOFT stations: Program Type: 1111 IPv4: The IP address for the IXW-MAA-SOFT Destination Port: 65060 SSL: Enable Connection: Socket
Scroll right. For each instance of IX-SOFT, place a check mark under Initialization Notice.

Network and SIF Settings (continued)
Use these settings for all other IX | IXG Series stations that will send signals to the IXW-MAA-SOFT: Program Type: 0100 IPv4: The IP address for the IXW-MAA-SOFT Destination Port: 65014 SSL: Enable Connection: Socket Once everything is configured, click Save
Scroll right. For each station that will send signals to the the IXW-MAA-SOFT, place a check mark under Change Contact.
Once everything is configured, click Save .
Relay Output Settings
The configured stations will now send SIF signals when their relay output is triggered, and the IX-SOFT instances will reach out to the IXW-MAA-SOFT for their licenses. If SIF settings were not configured for anything but the IX-SOFT instances, skip to page 6 for instructions on uploading the settings. To configure the outputs on the IXW-MAA-SOFT itself, navigate to Option Input / Relay Output Settings, Relay Output. Each of the ten outputs on the IXW-MAA-SOFT can be assigned to a single station. By default, IXG Support Tool will select Relay Output 1. Use the drop-down under [Display settings] to choose a different relay, if needed.
To configure an output, locate the IXW-MAA-SOFT on the list of stations. Use the drop-down under Function and select Contact Change SIF Event.

Relay Output Settings (continued)
Scroll right to the column labeled Contact Change SIF Event. Click Select Station to bring up a list of stations.
Choose one station to assign to this relay on the IXW-MAA-SOFT, then click OK . Click Save to finalize the settings, then repeat these steps for each output to be configured.
When used for door release, this relay is most commonly associated with a door or entrance station, not another master station.

Uploading Settings to Stations
Navigate to Connections(S), Upload Settings. Click Select to select all stations and click Settings . This will push the new configuration to the stations.
Export System Configuration
It is strongly recommended to back up the settings once everything is configured. This will prevent having to reprogram the system from scratch later. Navigate to File(F), Export System Configuration. Click Export and select a location to save the configuration folder. Click Finish to exit this screen.
The configuration will be saved as a folder. The entire folder is needed to restore the system.
