Keychron C1 Pro Quick Start Guide

Welcome to the Keychron C1 Pro Quick Start Guide. This document provides essential information to help you set up and customize your new keyboard.

This guide covers the initial setup, including switching between operating systems (Mac and Windows), utilizing the VIA software for key remapping, understanding the keyboard's layers, adjusting backlight settings, and performing a factory reset if needed.

Getting Started

  • System Switching: Ensure the system toggle on the top left corner matches your computer's operating system.
  • VIA Key Remapping: Download the latest VIA software from caniusevia.com to remap keys and customize your keyboard layout.

Key Features

  • Layers: The keyboard features four layers of key settings, with Layer 0 and 1 for Mac, and Layer 2 and 3 for Windows. Ensure you are adjusting the correct layer for your system.
  • Backlight Control: Adjust backlight brightness using Fn + W (increase) and Fn + S (decrease). Toggle backlight on/off with Fn + Tab. Change lighting effects with Fn + Q.
  • Siri/Cortana: Activate Siri on Mac via System preferences > Siri. For Cortana on Windows, use Start > Settings > Cortana or Windows key + C.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, a factory reset can resolve many problems. To perform a factory reset, press Fn + J + Z for 4 seconds. For detailed instructions on flashing firmware using QMK Toolbox, please refer to the support section on the Keychron website.
