Momcozy M9 Wearable Breast Pump User Manual
Please read this user manual carefully before using the device, and keep the manual for future reference.
1. Product Introduction
The Momcozy wearable breast pump is designed for breastfeeding mothers to express and collect milk from their breasts. The Momcozy wearable breast pump creates a vacuum around the nipple to express breast milk. The milk is collected in a milk collector. The device features a stimulation mode, an expression mode, and a mixed mode. In stimulation mode, the breast pump starts with a fast and short suction pattern to get the milk flowing. In expression mode, the pump starts with a slow and deep suction pattern to express milk. In mixed mode, the breast pump starts with a fast and short suction pattern, then switches to a slow and long pattern. To prevent milk from flowing into the vacuum system, the milk collection set includes a silicone membrane that physically separates the milk path from the vacuum system. The device is intended for single user use.

6.2 Cleaning and Disinfection
6.2.1 General Description/Terms
Providing breast milk is one of the best things you can do for your baby's health and development. Pumping milk is a way to ensure your baby receives breast milk. Keeping the pump clean is crucial. Bacteria grow rapidly in breast milk and milk residue that adheres to the pump parts. Following these steps can prevent contamination and protect your baby from infection. If your baby was born prematurely or has other health challenges, healthcare professionals may have additional recommendations for safe breast milk pumping.
1) BEFORE EACH USE
Inspect and assemble a clean pump set. Clean the pump motor with disinfecting wipes.
2) AFTER EACH USE
Store milk safely: Use breast milk storage bags or clean, food-grade containers to store excess breast milk. Ensure containers are made of glass or plastic and have tight-fitting lids. Label them with the date and time and immediately place them in the refrigerator, freezer, or cooler bag with ice packs. Clean the pump area: Clean the dial, power switch, and countertop with disinfecting wipes.
3) Parts requiring cleaning and sterilization
Clean and sterilize all parts that come into contact with the breast and breast milk before using the breast pump for the first time and after each use.
- Parts that come into contact with milk: parts of the milk collection set including the breast flange, membrane, valve, and milk collector.
- Parts that only come into contact with skin on the breast: Breast flange.
4) Before cleaning/disinfection:
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Disassemble the parts as follows:
Figure 5, 6: Disassembly

Warning
The included milk collector is intended for collecting milk during pumping. Use a different milk collector with a lid if you need to feed the baby or store the breast milk.
Warning
Refrigerate or freeze the milk immediately, or store at a temperature of 16 °C – 25 °C for 2-4 hours before feeding the baby.
6.4 Breast Milk Storage
6.4.1 Proper Storage of Breast Milk
Following recommended storage and preparation techniques can maintain the safety and quality of breast milk for the baby's health. These are general guidelines for storing human milk at different temperatures. Various factors affect how long human milk can be stored safely. These factors include milk volume, room temperature when the milk was pumped, temperature fluctuations in the refrigerator and freezer, and the cleanliness of the environment.
Store Breast Milk After Pumping:
- Refrigerate the milk immediately after it has been pumped, if possible. You can place it in the refrigerator, store it in a cooler bag or insulated cooler bag, or freeze it in small portions (2 to 4 ounces/0.5-1 dl) for later meals.
- Use breast milk storage bags or clean, food-grade containers to store excess breast milk. Ensure the containers are made of glass or plastic and have tight-fitting lids.
- Avoid bottles with the recycling symbol ♻️. This indicates that the container may be made of plastic containing BPA.
- Remove air before sealing.
- Lay the bags flat in the freezer. To prevent the bags from sticking together, separate them with paper towels.
- Never store breast milk in disposable bottles or bags not intended for breast milk storage.
- Gently swirl the container to mix the creamy part of the breast milk that may separate at the top with the rest of the breast milk. Do not shake the milk. This can break down some of the milk's valuable components.
- Fresh milk that has been expressed or pumped can be stored:
Type of Breast Milk | Countertop 25 °C (77 °F) or colder (room temperature) | Refrigerator 4 °C (40 °F) | Freezer -5 °C (23 °F) or colder |
---|---|---|---|
Newly expressed or pumped | Within 2-4 hours | Within 24 hours | Within 3 months |
Thawed, previously frozen | Use within two hours after the baby has nursed |
These guidelines apply only to full-term babies and may vary for premature or sick babies. Check with a healthcare professional.
Storage Tips:
- Clearly label the storage container with the date the milk was pumped. Include the baby's name if you are giving the milk to healthcare personnel.
- Do not store breast milk in the refrigerator or freezer door. This protects the milk from temperature changes when the door is opened and closed.
- Freeze the pumped breast milk immediately if you do not think you will use it within four days. This protects the quality of the breast milk.
When Freezing Breast Milk:
- Store small amounts to avoid wasting milk that may not be used. Store 2 to 4 ounces (0.5-1 dl) in each container, or the amount offered at a meal.
- Breast milk expands when frozen, so leave a little space at the top of the container.
- When traveling, breast milk can be stored in an insulated cooler bag with ice packs for up to 24 hours. Upon arrival, use the milk immediately, refrigerate it, or freeze it.
6.4.2 Proper Thawing of Breast Milk
- Always thaw the oldest milk first. First in, first out. Over time, the quality of breast milk may degrade.
- There are several ways to thaw breast milk:
- In the refrigerator overnight.
- Placed in a container with warm or lukewarm water.
- Under running lukewarm water.
- Never thaw or heat breast milk in a microwave. Microwaves can destroy the nutritional content of breast milk and can create hot spots that can burn the baby's mouth.
- If you thaw breast milk in the refrigerator, it must be used within 24 hours. Start counting the 24 hours when the breast milk is completely thawed, not from when you took it out of the freezer.
- When breast milk is at room temperature or warmer, it must be used within two hours.
- Never refreeze breast milk once it has been thawed.
7. Storage Conditions
How to Store the Pump
- Short-term storage: Keep the breast pump away from direct sunlight. Store the breast pump and accessories in a safe, clean, and dry place, away from children.
- Long-term storage: First, charge the pump before long-term storage to extend its usage time. Second, store it away from direct sunlight to avoid discoloration. Third, clean and dry the washable parts before storage.
