Unfold and Fold the Gimbal Stabilizer
Unfold the Gimbal Stabilizer
Firstly, unfold the arm of the SMART X gimbal. Then, mount your mobile phone on the clip and adjust it to be level. No unlocking is needed, making it easy to use.
Fold the Gimbal Stabilizer
Rotate the arm of the gimbal until it is in the same direction as the operation panel. Lock the tilt axis, then fold it as per the yellow arrow instruction until its mobile clip buckles into the fixing hole.
Introduction of SMART X
The Smart X gimbal features a mobile clip, pan axis, tilt axis, roll axis, a 1/4 extension interface, a zoom pushrod, and an operation panel with various controls.
Key components include:
- Mobile clip: Secures your smartphone.
- Pan axis: Allows horizontal movement.
- Tilt axis: Allows vertical movement.
- Roll axis: Allows rotation around the vertical axis.
- 1/4 Extension interface: For attaching accessories.

Introduction of the Operation Panel
1. Instruction of Modes
The gimbal offers several shooting modes:
- PF: Fan-follow mode
- F: Full-follow mode
- L: Full-Lock mode
- POV: POV mode
Battery Life Indicator
The indicators show battery levels: 20%, 50%, 70%, 100%. When the battery is at 5% remaining, the PF indicator will flash twice.
Controls:
- Joystick: Move up and down, left and right. Single click to switch between PF/F/L/POV modes. Double click to return to the initial position. Triple click for inception mode.
- Camera/Video Switch: Single click for camera/video mode. Double click to switch between horizontal/vertical panel orientation.
- Power Button: Long press to power on/off. Single click to switch the fill light stages (1/2/3/off). Double click to check the battery life.
Battery Charging and Replacement
Battery Charging
Connect the equipped Type-C cable to a power adapter via the USB port and to the gimbal stabilizer's Type-C port. The indicators will light up to show charging status. When the [••••] symbol appears, the battery is fully charged.
Battery Replacement
The SMART X gimbal uses a magnetic battery cover. To replace the Li-battery, open the magnetic cover and remove the used battery. Use an 18650 battery for replacement.
Note: SMART X is equipped with an original AOCHUAN battery. For first use, please activate the battery by fully charging it to ensure normal operation.
