Valberg Gas Barbecues and Plancha: Regulatory Instructions
This document contains essential regulatory and safety instructions for Valberg gas barbecues and planchas. Please read and keep this manual for future reference.
Safety Instructions
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH, OR DAMAGE BY FIRE
- Use outdoors only.
- Read the instructions before using the appliance.
- WARNING: Accessible parts may be very hot. Keep young children away.
- Do not move the appliance during use.
- Turn off the gas supply at the gas cylinder after use.
- Do not modify the appliance.
- All parts protected by the manufacturer must not be manipulated by the consumer. It is dangerous and strictly prohibited.
- Under no circumstances should any part protected by the manufacturer be handled by the user.
- Keep this appliance away from flammable materials during use.
- Use suitable protective gloves when handling your appliance and during cooking, as certain accessible parts can be very hot.
- Clean the barbecue and accessories (including the grease tray) after each use to avoid grease build-up (fire hazard).
- Carry out a leak test before use (see Leak test).
- In case of gas smell or leak:
- Turn off the gas cylinder valve.
- Extinguish any open flame.
- Open the hood (depending on model).
- Carry out the "leak test" (see Leak test).
- Never leave the appliance unattended.
- Do not use the barbecue in high winds.
- Do not place objects around the appliance that may obstruct airflow.
- Do not use this appliance for any other purpose than that for which it is intended.
- Before each use, ensure that all gas connections are properly tightened. If they have loosened, immediately shut off the gas cylinder valve, check all connections, and then carry out a leak test (see Leak test).
- Never loosen gas connections while using your appliance.
- Do not use charcoal or lava rock in your gas barbecue.
- This barbecue must be installed at ground level (except for tabletop models), on a horizontal, level, and stable support before use.
- The parts below are flame protectors (protection against falling grease residue during cooking) and must be positioned above the burners heating the cooking grill, in the provided notches (if applicable). Do not put lava stone in these flame protectors.
Additional rules for certain models
- WARNING! Tabletop barbecues must be placed ONLY on materials such as bricks, stone, and concrete on a horizontal, level, and stable support before use.
Disposing of Your Old Unit
This product must not be disposed of or recycled with other household waste when it reaches the end of its useful life.
The product and its packaging should be collected and recycled separately from other waste.
Please dispose of your waste in accordance with the advice below to reduce the environmental impact of your new purchase.
You are legally responsible for separating the waste associated with this product (and any accessories), including instructions and/or packaging, so that it can be recycled.
Keep used products and packaging out of the reach of children, as they can pose a safety hazard.
Please retain the instructions and any other notices throughout the service life of the device, and include these documents with the device if it is passed on to a third party.
For packaging and other notices, please refer to the recycling instructions on the main packaging and to the advice available on the Internet.
For the product itself, please refer to the instructions available on the Internet.
If you do not have Internet access, please contact your local authority for advice on how to sort and recycle your waste.
For your children's safety, please store your old devices in a safe place outside your home until they are collected.
Warranty Conditions
This product is guaranteed against faults caused by defects in manufacturing or the materials used for a period of two years, starting from the date of purchase.* This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by failure to install the device correctly, incorrect use of the product, or excessive wear and tear.
