LEDEPLY Smart Bulb User Manual

CAUTION: USE IN DRY LOCATIONS. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK OR BURNS

For indoor use only. Do not install the device with wet hands or when standing on wet or damp surfaces. Not for use in totally half or fully enclosed luminaires, especially luminaires with metal shade, which may distort the signal and make it harder to connect or control the lights. Do not use with Dimmers!

GET READY

To set up your LEDEPLY Smart Bulb, you will need a smartphone with the 'Smart Life' app installed. Ensure your smartphone is compatible with iOS 10.0 & up or Android 4.4 & up.

You can download the 'Smart Life' app by scanning the QR code provided or searching for it in your device's app store.

1. Download the 'Smart Life' App

Register or log in if you already have an account.

2. Add Device

Important Reset Information: If the light bulb does not blink slowly or quickly, reset it by turning it off and on 10 times with intervals of at least 2 seconds.

Connect via Bluetooth (Bulb blinks rapidly or slowly)

Follow these steps within the 'Smart Life' app:

  1. Open the app and navigate to the 'Add Device' screen.
  2. Select 'Lighting' and then 'Light Source (BLE+Wi-Fi)' or 'Light Source (Wi-Fi)' depending on your bulb model.
  3. Ensure your bulb is blinking rapidly or slowly.
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
  5. Tap 'Next' to proceed.
  6. The app will search for and connect to your device.

Note: The app may display 'Found 2 devices. Added 0 successfully.' during the initial search. Continue the process.

Connect via Wi-Fi (EZ MODE - Recommended)

This mode is recommended when the bulb blinks rapidly.

  1. Reset the device first: If the light is blinking rapidly, proceed without resetting. If not, power on the device, then turn it on-off-on-off-on (refer to your specific user manual for the exact sequence) until the light blinks rapidly.
  2. Note: Complete the network distribution within 3 minutes after resetting the device.
  3. In the 'Smart Life' app, select 'Light Source (BLE+Wi-Fi)' or 'Light Source (Wi-Fi)'.
  4. Ensure the bulb is blinking rapidly.
  5. Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. If your Wi-Fi is 5GHz, you may need to adjust your router settings to enable 2.4GHz.
  6. Tap 'Next'.
  7. The app will attempt to connect to the smart bulbs.
  8. Confirm the status of the indicator light by tapping 'Blink Quickly'.

The app will then try to connect the smart bulbs.

Connect via Wi-Fi (AP MODE - One at a time)

This mode is used when the bulb blinks slowly.

  1. Reset the device first: If the light is blinking rapidly, skip this step. If the light is blinking slowly, ensure it is in this state.
  2. In the 'Smart Life' app, select the appropriate device type (e.g., 'Light Source (BLE+Wi-Fi)').
  3. Choose 'Blink Slowly'.
  4. Connect your mobile phone to the device's hotspot: Navigate to your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the hotspot named 'SmartLife-XXXX' or 'SL-XXXX'.
  5. Once connected to the hotspot, return to the 'Smart Life' app.
  6. The app may prompt you to enable 'Local Network Access' for the device to connect properly. Tap 'Go to Connect'.
  7. The app will then search for and add the device.

Note: Ensure the device is powered on during the connection process. The app will scan devices, register on the cloud, and initialize the device.

Group Control

You can control multiple LEDEPLY smart bulbs simultaneously by creating groups within the 'Smart Life' app.

  1. Tap on a smart bulb in the device list to access its control panel.
  2. Tap the edit icon (usually a pencil or gear symbol) in the top corner.
  3. Select 'Create Group'.
  4. Choose the devices you want to include in the group for unified management.
  5. Tap 'Confirm' to complete the group setup.

You can now control all bulbs within the group together.

Voice Assistant Integration

Alexa Settings

To control your LEDEPLY smart bulbs with Amazon Alexa:

  1. Open the Alexa app.
  2. Navigate to 'Skills & Games'.
  3. Search for the 'Smart Life' skill.
  4. Enable the skill and log in with your 'Smart Life' account credentials.
  5. Alexa will automatically sync your smart bulbs. You can then use voice commands to control them (e.g., "Alexa, set hallway light to 50 percent").

Google Assistant Settings

To control your LEDEPLY smart bulbs with Google Assistant:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap 'Add' then 'Set up device'.
  3. Select 'Have something already set up?'.
  4. Search for 'Smart Life'.
  5. Select 'Smart Life' from the search results and log in with your 'Smart Life' account.
  6. Your smart bulbs will be linked to your Google Home account, allowing voice control.
