Basic Operations
DISP Key: Press the DISP key to change the screen. Touch the DISP key to access the SUB VFO Dual Receive screen.
Touch & Go: Touch on the scope to access SUB VFO Dual Receive. Long touch on the scope to rewrite the Main VFO.
Search & Go: Touch on the scope to access SUB VFO Dual Receive. Long touch on the scope to rewrite the Main VFO.
The device allows swapping the main and sub bands and retrieving various data values from main and sub bands.
Easy Channel Checking with PMG Function
Recall frequencies in the PMG (Up to 5 channels).
- Press the PMG key.
- Select a channel, then press and hold the BACK key.
If five memories have data, previous data will be over-written. Touch the screen to display the Compass screen. Touch the Compass screen to return to the previous screen.
Grouping memories in the same frequency band by MAG (Memory Auto Grouping)
Press the BAND key.
When the VFO group is selected, memories can be grouped by frequency band.
Example: VHF Memory Channel List: 001: 144.000 VHF, 002: 145.500 VHF, 003: 146.000 VHF, 004: 146.520 VHF. Example: Memory Channel List from Memory Group List: 001: 144.000 VHF, 002: 145.500 VHF, 003: 146.000 VHF, 004: 146.520 VHF.
VFO Band Skip Function
Recall only the bands you use.
Only the bands in use are selected.
CFL (Customized Function List)
Register up to 8 frequently used functions for easy access.
- Press the FUNC knob.
- Press and hold the FUNC knob to select a function.
- Rotate the FUNC knob to change the selection.
- Press any key to complete.
C4FM Digital Mode
C4FM Digital has good sound quality. Press-free AMS that automatically adapts to the operating mode.
Touch the frequency in Digital Mode to display the Compass screen. Touch the Compass screen to return to the previous screen.
Display the location information of multiple members
In a group conversation, in a group conversation, C4FM GM (Group Monitor) (DG-ID setting required).
Touch the call sign to display the Compass screen. Touch the Compass screen to return to the previous screen.
Curl Back Function
When tuning from the current operating frequency to another frequency, pressing the BACK key within 5 seconds will automatically return to the previous frequency. (Does not work with PMG.)
Key Functions Overview
- ① GM key:
- GM (group monitor) function.
- Press and hold the GM key:
- Sets the DG-ID number.
- ② DX key:
- Communication mode changes.
- Press and hold the DX key:
- Access WIRES-X Function.
- ③ t key:
- Switches between main band and sub band.
- ④ DISP key:
- Switches between dual receive screen and scope screen.
- ⑤ S-DX key:
- Super DX for better sensitivity.
- ⑥ Press the Power/LOCK key:
- Locks keys and knobs.
- Press and hold the Power/LOCK key:
- Power ON and OFF.
- ⑦ MAIN VOL/SQL knob:
- Adjusts MAIN Band volume (Press: to adjust the MAIN Band squelch).
- ⑧ SUB VOL/SQL knob:
- Adjusts SUB Band volume (Press: to adjust the SUB Band squelch).
- ⑨ MAIN VFO knob:
- Tune frequency up/down (Press: tune frequency 1MHz up/down).
- ⑩ FUNC knob:
- Select the functions or items (Press: Recall the CFL screen) (Hold to Enter Setup Menu).
- ⑪ SUB VFO knob:
- Tune SUB Band frequency up/down (Press: tune SUB Band frequency 1MHz up/down).
- ⑫ Press the PMG key:
- Recall the PMG screen.
- Press and hold the PMG key:
- Register a PMG (May register up to 5 channels).
- ⑬ Press the V/M key:
- Switches between VFO mode and memory mode.
- Press and hold the V/M key:
- Register memory channel.
- ⑭ BAND key:
- Change the operating band.
- ⑮ BACK key:
- Return to the previous screen.
