FTM-500DR/DE Firmware Update Information

Firmware Package Contents
The FTM-500D Firmware update 202308.zip package contains the following:

Destination Versions
The FTM-500DR/DE is available in two different destination versions: USA and EXP (including EU and CHN). Please review the Update Instruction Manual to confirm your radio's version before proceeding.
Note: The firmware version for Japan is different. Please check the latest Japanese version on the Japan WEB site.
To identify your radio's destination:
- Check the serial number label on the box.
- If the box is unavailable, the country of purchase may indicate the destination.
- If the radio has an FCC part 15 rules statement above the Serial/ID label, it is the USA version. Other versions will not have this label.

Download the appropriate firmware data from the website below:
- USA Version: Covers North and South America, Australia, and New Zealand.
Folder Name:FTM-500D_USA_Firmware_Update_202308.zip - EXP/EU/CHN Version: Covers all other countries except USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
Folder Name:FTM-500D_EXP_Firmware_Update_202308.zip - DSP (All Countries): File Name:
C4FM-DSP_V0720.SFL. This file contains DSP firmware for all countries.
Implemented Improvements
The latest firmware update includes the following enhancements:
- Fixed APRS time zone bugs.
- Fixed DTMF coding bugs.
- Other improvements and optimizations have been made.
Important Notes & Cautions
CAUTION: Please be sure to confirm the model and the version of your transceiver before starting the update. Writing incorrect firmware to the transceiver may cause abnormal operation or failure.
Please read the FTM-500DR/DE Main and DSP Firmware Update Instruction Manuals before proceeding.
If you already have the listed firmware versions (V.01.06 Main, V.01.02 SUB, V.07.20 DSP), it is not necessary to update the FTM-500DR/DE again.
