Use & Operation

Control Panel

Diagram description: An illustration of the air cooler's control panel with various function buttons.

Function Buttons:

  • POWER: Press to turn the unit on. It starts at medium speed, then switches to low. Press again to turn off.
  • SPEED: Press repeatedly to cycle through speeds: High (H) – Mid (M) - Low (L) – Sleep (SLEEP). Sleep mode provides a natural breeze by varying fan speed.
  • SWING: Press until the SWING indicator light is illuminated. The louvers will move automatically left to right. Vertical airflow can be manually adjusted.
  • COOL: Press until the COOL indicator light is illuminated. This activates evaporative cooling. The water pump operates, and cooler air is produced once the Honeycomb Cooling Media is wet. If the COOL indicator is OFF, the unit functions as a fan only.
  • TIMER: Press to select a desired time duration. The unit will automatically turn off when the set time has passed. The timer can be set for up to 7.5 hours.

Remote Control

Diagram description: An illustration of the remote control with buttons labeled for POWER, SPEED, MODE, SWING, and TIMER.

Remote Functions:

  • POWER: ON/OFF
  • SPEED: Low / Medium / High / Sleep
  • MODE: Evaporative Cooling On / Off
  • SWING: Controls the motion of the louvers
  • TIMER: Controls the Timer function for automatic off

Notes:

  • Requires 2 x AAA (1.5V) batteries.
  • Insert batteries with correct polarity (+ / –) as indicated in the compartment.
  • Point the transmitter towards the unit; ensure the signal path is not obstructed.
  • Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
  • Do not drop the remote control.
  • Do not mix battery types (e.g., alkaline, carbon-zinc, rechargeable) or old and new batteries.
  • Do not recharge batteries.
  • Dispose of exhausted batteries according to local regulations.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire; they may explode or leak.
  • WARNING: Caution for ingestion of small batteries. Keep away from children and animals.

Cooler Location

Ensure correct positioning of the air cooler before setup and use. Refer to the COOLER LOCATION section of the separate Safety & Maintenance Guide.

Filling with Water

Using the Continuous Water Supply Connection is ideal for long periods of operation without refilling, and helps prevent pump failure due to low water levels.

CAUTION: Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet before filling or emptying the water tank.

Continuous Water Supply Connection:

Requires a garden hose connected to a main water supply (garden hose not included).

  • Locate the male connector of the garden hose.
  • Insert the hose connector into the unit's water inlet valve.
  • Screw and tighten the water inlet valve onto the hose connector, ensuring a secure connection to prevent leaks. If leaks occur, disconnect and reconnect properly.
  • Once connected, turn on the water supply; water will flow into the tank.
  • The unit will automatically refill when the water level drops below a minimum.
  • The water inlet valve automatically stops when the tank is full.
  • Open the water valve for minimum flow to prevent damage to the pressure control system.
  • WARNING: Maximum water inlet pressure is 0.5 MPa.

Diagram description: Shows a garden hose connected to the water inlet valve, with labels for 'Water Inlet Value', 'Garden Hose', 'Water Fill Door', and 'Water Inlet Hole'.

Manual Water Tank Refill:

  • Use a portable container or garden hose to pour water into the water inlet hole at the top of the air cooler.
  • Check the water level indicator. Do not fill above the "Max." mark to prevent water droplets on louvers.
  • WARNING: Ensure water level is always above the minimum (Min.) mark for both continuous and manual refills. Running in Cool mode with insufficient water may cause pump failure.

Filling with Water (Continued)

Note: Water capacity refers to the total volume in the tank and distribution system. The "Max." indicator level may be lower than the actual total capacity.

WARNING: Do not fill the water tank with dirty or salt water, as this can damage the unit and Honeycomb media.

Low Water Alarm*:

The unit has a low water sensor. In Cooling Mode, if the water level is below the minimum, a beeping sound will occur, and the indicator light will flash continuously. Evaporative cooling will pause automatically.

  • To deactivate the alarm in cooling mode: Switch the unit OFF, unplug it, refill the tank above the minimum level, plug in, and switch ON again.
  • To use as a fan only (without evaporative cooling): Switch the unit OFF and then ON again. The Low Water Alarm does not activate in Fan only mode. It will sound again if COOL is activated while the tank is empty.

*Applicable for models with Low Water Alarm feature only.

Cleaning & Draining the Water Tank

For long periods of non-use, refer to STORAGE & MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES in the Safety & Maintenance Guide.

WARNING: Before cleaning, switch the unit OFF and disconnect from the power outlet.

  • Move the unit to a draining location. Remove the drain plug cap and allow the tank to empty.
  • Refill with clean water to the maximum level, then drain completely.
  • Use a damp cloth to clean the unit's surface. Do not use corrosive elements or chemicals.
  • When not in use, store the unit in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

Cleaning the Honeycomb Cooling Media

  • The appliance includes three Honeycomb Cooling Media pads, located inside the Rear and Side Grills.
  • Follow specific steps (1-5) to remove them for cleaning.
  • Do not run the unit in COOL mode with stale water. Empty and refill the tank with fresh water, especially if it hasn't been cleaned recently.
  • Cleaning frequency depends on local air and water conditions. High mineral content may cause deposits on the media, restricting airflow. Draining and refilling weekly helps reduce deposits. If deposits persist, remove and wash media under fresh water. Clean every two months or as needed.
  • For best results, dry the Honeycomb Cooling Media after each use by turning off the cool function 15 minutes before turning off the unit.

Removing the Honeycomb Cooling Media:

  1. Remove screws from the Rear Grill.
  2. Carefully pull out the Rear Grill.
  3. The Honeycomb Cooling Pad is secured by two Horizontal Bars, fixed with screws on the Left and Right Sides. Remove these screws to release the bars.
  4. Slide out the Honeycomb Cooling Pad from the Rear Grill. Replace with a new pad by sliding into the grill grooves. Reattach Horizontal Bars with screws to secure the pad.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the Left and Right Side Grills.

WARNING: Do not operate the air cooler with any or all grills removed, or if a grill is loose. This can cause serious injury or dangerous electrical shock.
