Assembly Instructions / Instructions for Use

Unpack components carefully and check all parts are present.

  • For domestic use only.
  • Not intended for operation by external timers or remote-control systems.
  • Not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised by a responsible person.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

Safety Considerations

  • Do not operate if damaged or malfunctioning.
  • Use only manufacturer-recommended accessories to prevent fire, electric shock, or injury.
  • Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
  • When unplugging, turn the control to 'OFF' before removing the plug from the wall outlet.
  • Do not switch on the cooker if the ceramic pot is empty.
  • Allow the lid and pot to cool before immersing in water.
  • Do not use the crock pot or lid if cracked or chipped.
  • The lid and ceramic pot are fragile; handle with care.
  • Do not attempt repairs; the appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. Repairs should only be done by authorized personnel.

Electrical Requirements & Warnings

  • Ensure your home electricity supply voltage matches the appliance's rating plate.
  • If the plug is unsuitable, it must be removed and replaced with an appropriate one.
  • IMPORTANT: A removed plug from the mains lead must be destroyed if severed, as a plug with a bared flexible cord is hazardous.
  • WARNING: To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged.
  • Do not disassemble the appliance to avoid the risk of electric shock; incorrect reassembly can cause a risk.
  • Exercise extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot food, water, or other hot liquids.
  • Never touch the outer enclosure during operation or before it cools.
  • Use handles or knobs; do not touch hot surfaces. Use oven gloves or a cloth when removing the lid or handling hot containers.
  • Do not attempt to move the appliance while hot.
  • Do not switch on the appliance when it is upside down or laid on its side.
  • Never leave the appliance connected to the socket outlet when not in use, before attaching/removing accessories, or before cleaning.

Important Safety Instructions

Location

  • Indoor use only.
  • Never cook directly in the base unit; always use the ceramic pot.
  • Always locate the cooker away from the edge of the worktop.
  • Ensure the cooker is used on a firm, flat, heat-resistant surface.
  • Do not use too close to curtains, draperies, walls, cupboards, or other flammable materials.
  • Keep the appliance away from hot burners and heated ovens.

Unplugging the Unit

  • Always switch off the socket before plugging or unplugging.
  • Never yank the cord to disconnect; grasp and pull the plug.
  • Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces.
  • Let the appliance cool completely before putting away.
  • Do not let the mains lead hang over the edge of the worktop where a child could reach it.
  • Do not let the lead run across a cooker or other hot surface that might damage the cable.

Child Supervision

  • Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children. Never allow a child to operate the appliance.
  • Children are vulnerable in kitchens, especially when unsupervised or when cooking is in progress.
  • Teach children about kitchen dangers and warn them about reaching for areas they cannot see properly or should not be reaching.

Getting Started

Read all instructions before using the multi cooker.

Using the Cooker for the First Time

  • Remove all labels and tags from the product.
  • Wash the crock pot and lid in hot soapy water with a sponge or dish cloth, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
  • Before first use, clean the base unit, steam rack, frying basket, fondue forks, lid, and inner pan with a soft cloth and sudsy water. Rinse and dry well. Never submerge the base unit in water.
  • Attach the non-stick heating pan to the power base by placing it into the four holes in the metal plate at the base of the unit.

Note: A slight odour during initial use due to manufacturing residues is normal and will disappear after a few uses.

Control Settings

The control knob cycles through adjustable temperature/functions. Reference temperatures are provided below (may require adjustment based on specific needs):

  • Keep Warm (Fondue): 80-100 °C
  • Boil: 220-240 °C
  • Fry: 180-220 °C
  • Stir Fry: 180-220 °C
  • Grill: 220-240 °C
  • Hot Pot: 120-240 °C
  • Steam: 200-240 °C
  • Slow Cook (Braise): 120-140 °C
  • Deep Fry & Scallop: 180-220 °C

Cooking Temperature Range: 80 °C - 230 °C

Rating: 1500W, 220V-240V, 50-60Hz

Capacity: ±5 Litres

During cooking, the indicator light cycles on and off, indicating when the appliance is heating to reach or maintain the correct temperature. Always turn the appliance OFF when finished.

Cooking Modes

Keep Warm (Fondue)

  • Place desired liquid or food into the non-stick heating pan and close the lid.
  • Turn the knob to 80-100 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.

Slow Cook (Braise)

  • Place desired liquid or food (refer to recipe instructions) into the non-stick heating pan and close the lid.
  • Turn the knob to 120-140 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • To retain heat and moisture, avoid lifting the lid during cooking. Ensure sufficient liquid covers the food.
  • Always turn to 'OFF' and unplug when cooking is finished.

Boil

  • Turn the knob to 220-240 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Place desired liquid or food into the non-stick heating pan and close the lid.
  • Remove food when boiling is complete.
  • Always turn to 'OFF' and unplug when cooking is finished.

Steam

  • Use the stackable steam rack for steaming.
  • Place the steam rack on the non-stick heating pan.
  • Add 2 cups of water, ensuring the water level is below the rack, and close the lid.
  • Turn the knob to 200-240 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • To retain heat and moisture, avoid lifting the lid during cooking.
  • When steaming is complete, carefully remove the hot steam rack.
  • Always turn to 'OFF' and unplug when cooking is finished.

Stir-fry, Fry & Roast

  • Place desired food (refer to recipe instructions) into the non-stick heating pan.
  • Turn the knob to 180-220 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Check food for doneness when finished.
  • Always turn to 'OFF' and unplug when cooking is finished.

Grill

  • Turn the knob to 220-240 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Add a small amount of cooking oil, butter, or margarine to the non-stick heating pan.
  • Remove food when grilling is complete.
  • Always turn to 'OFF' and unplug when cooking is finished.

Shallow Fry

  • Turn the knob to 180-220 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Add a small amount of cooking oil, butter, or margarine to the non-stick heating pan.
  • Remove food (e.g., scallops) when cooking is complete.
  • Always turn to 'OFF' and unplug when cooking is finished.

Casserole

  • Place desired food into the non-stick heating pan.
  • Turn the knob to 120-240 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Always turn to 'OFF' and unplug when cooking is finished.

Deep Fry

  • Pour oil into the non-stick heating pan up to the fill-line; never go over the fill line.
  • Turn the knob to 180-220 °C, or adjust as needed. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Place food in the basket and lower into the oil, ensuring the basket is not filled beyond its indicated fill-line.
  • Place cooked food on dry paper towel.
  • Always turn to 'OFF' and unplug when cooking is finished.

Care and Cleaning Instructions

  • Never submerge the power base in water or any other liquid, or place it in a dishwasher.
  • The lid and non-stick heating pan are dishwasher safe. Always allow your multi cooker to cool before cleaning.
  • To Clean:
    • Disconnect from the power supply.
    • Lift the lid and remove any cooking accessories. Wash accessories with soapy water.
    • Always remove hot oil from the non-stick heating pan before washing.
    • Remove the non-stick heating pan, empty remaining food and liquid, and allow it to cool. Fill the pan with warm water and mild detergent. Use non-abrasive material to clean.
    • The outer unit can be cleaned with a damp sponge. Never use abrasive or scouring pads.

Maintenance

  • Ensure the non-stick heating pan is thoroughly dry before using it.
  • Never pour cold water into a warm non-stick heating pan.
  • Do not use abrasive materials or steel wool, as this may damage the non-stick surface.
  • Use only wooden or heat-proof plastic utensils to prevent damage to the non-stick pan's surface.
  • Never use metal utensils.
  • Never immerse the outer unit in water or other liquid; wipe clean with a damp cloth.
  • Never add water to hot oil.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
The power indicator light is not on.Ensure the non-stick heating pan is securely inserted into the power base. Make sure the plug is switched on.
The temperature is too cool or too hot.Please adjust the temperature as needed. Turn the knob towards the right for more heat or left for less heat.

Plug Wiring (UK & Ireland)

This appliance is fitted with a BS 1363 13-amp plug. If you need to replace the fuse, use only those approved by ASTA or BSI to BS1362 with a rated current of 13-amps. If a fuse cover is fitted, it must be refitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used. Spare fuse holders and fuses are available from electrical outlets.

If your home or office socket outlets are not suitable for this product's plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely. Attempting to insert the plug into the wrong socket is likely to cause an electric hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according to the following instructions:

The Cable

A mains electricity cable contains two or three inner wires. Each has a core of copper and an outer layer of flexible plastic. This product is earthed; the wires in the cord set are colour coded as follows:

  • BLUE: NEUTRAL
  • BROWN: LIVE
  • GREEN & YELLOW: EARTH

The diagram shows the key features of a correctly wired three-pin mains plug.

Disposal

  • Coopers of Stortford uses recyclable or recycled packaging where possible.
  • Please dispose of all packaging, paper, cartons, and packaging in accordance with your local recycling regulations.
