Rollei F:X Pro Filter Holder Mark III 100 mm

Installation and User Guide

Camera, lens, and tripod not included.

Components

This filter holder is constructed from aviation-grade aluminum, with all elements manufactured using a CNC process. It features an anti-corrosion and dimensionally stable material with a matte black surface finish.

The system allows for the simultaneous use of three square filters and one round CPL filter without causing vignetting, even on ultra-wide lenses. An extension rail is required for using three filters, and is optionally available.

Included Accessories:

  • Circular CPL filter
  • Base ring with 82 mm diameter
  • Adapter rings with diameters: 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77 mm

Installation Steps with CPL Filter

  1. Place the CPL filter into the base ring of the filter holder. Ensure it is inserted according to the recesses (indicated by orange marks in the illustration) and fits securely. Built-in magnets hold the CPL filter in place.

[Diagram: Step 1 shows the CPL filter being placed into the base ring, with orange arrows indicating alignment with recesses.]

  2. Screw the base ring with the CPL filter onto the camera lens. Use an adapter ring if necessary.

[Diagram: Step 2 shows the base ring with CPL filter being screwed onto a camera lens, with an orange arrow indicating rotation.]

  3. Attach the filter holder onto the base ring. Hook it on one side and press the orange [Easy-Lock button] on the other side until the filter holder clicks into place on the base ring.

[Diagram: Step 3 shows the filter holder being attached to the base ring, with an orange button being pressed.]

  4. Use the rotary wheel to set the required alignment for the CPL filter.

[Diagram: Step 4 shows a rotary wheel being used to adjust the CPL filter alignment.]

  5. Align the CPL filter first. Then, slide the rectangular filter(s) into the filter holder.

[Diagram: Step 5 shows rectangular filters being slid into the holder after the CPL filter is aligned.]

Note: Camera and ND filter not included.

Installation Steps without CPL Filter

  1. Screw the base ring onto the camera lens. Use an adapter ring if necessary.

[Diagram: Step 1 shows the base ring being screwed onto a camera lens.]

  2. Place the filter holder onto the base ring. Hook it on one side and press the orange [Easy-Lock button] on the other side until the filter holder clicks into place on the base ring.

[Diagram: Step 2 shows the filter holder being attached to the base ring, with an orange button being pressed.]

Notes:

  • The filter holder is designed exclusively for square filters with a width of 100 mm and a thickness of 2 mm.
  • Both the filter holder and the adapter rings are made of aluminum. Minor friction noises during rotation are normal and do not affect the performance of the holder or the filters.
  • A maximum of one round filter and two square filters can be used simultaneously. With two optional extension rails, an additional filter can be accommodated.
  • Once the filter holder is correctly installed, filters can be inserted from the top or bottom, and the entire system can be rotated.

Inserting the Optional Extension Rails

  1. Slide the front rail, included with the F:X Pro filter holder Mark III, inward towards the center of the filter holder. This action loosens the rail.

[Diagram: Step 1 shows a front rail being slid inward towards the center of the filter holder, with orange arrows indicating the direction.]

  2. Now, place the extension rail onto the designated section, ensuring the two notches on the filter holder align with those on the extension rail. Push the extension rail outwards until it clicks into place. This allows for the insertion of another square filter into the F:X Pro Mark III filter holder.

[Diagram: Step 2 shows an extension rail being attached to the filter holder, aligning notches, with orange arrows indicating outward movement until it clicks.]
