What's in the Box

The package typically includes the JBL TUNE 770NC headphones, a USB charging cable, an audio cable, and documentation.

App

Download the JBL Headphones app to gain more control and personalization over your listening experience. The app is available on Google Play and the App Store.

Note: The app is only available on Android™.

Power On & Connect

To power on, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. To enter pairing mode again, power off the headphones and then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.

Connecting to Android 6.0+: The JBL TUNE770NC will appear on devices linked with your account. You can connect via Bluetooth settings or use Fast Pair.

Connecting to Windows 10 v1803+: Use Microsoft Swift Pair to connect. Your device will show a notification when the JBL TUNE770NC is found.

Connecting to other devices: Select "JBL TUNE770NC" from your device's Bluetooth list to connect.

Multi-point Connection

Connect up to 2 devices simultaneously. To switch between connected devices, pause playback on one device and start playback on the other.

Controls

Press x 1: Used for play/pause, answer/end calls, and activating voice assistants.

Hold (2s): Used for power on/off, skipping tracks, and activating voice assistants.

Buttons:

• Volume Up (+): Press once to increase volume, press and hold to skip to the next track.
• Volume Down (-): Press once to decrease volume, press and hold to skip to the previous track.
• Multi-function Button (Play/Pause/Call): Press once to play/pause music or answer/end calls. Press twice to skip to the next track. Press three times to go to the previous track. Press and hold for 2 seconds to activate voice assistant.
• Power Button: Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn on/off. Press and hold for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode.

Voice Assistants: Supports Bixby, Siri®, Google Assistant, and Alexa. Activate by pressing and holding the multi-function button.

ANC (Active Noise Cancelling): Press the ANC button to cycle through ANC modes (ANC On, Ambient Aware, TalkThru).

Ambient Aware: Allows you to hear your surroundings without removing the headphones.

TalkThru: Lowers music volume and amplifies speech, allowing conversations without removing headphones.

Note: Enable advanced controls by connecting your JBL TUNE770NC to the JBL Headphones App.

Wired Listening Mode

Connect the included audio cable to the headphones and your audio source for wired listening. The headphones can be used in wired mode even when the battery is depleted.

VoiceAware

The VoiceAware feature allows you to control how much of your own voice you hear during calls. Adjust the level via the JBL Headphones app.

Do More with the App

The JBL Headphones app offers advanced features such as Ambient Sound Control (ANC, Ambient Aware, TalkThru), Voice Assistant selection, Voice Prompts language, and Equalizer settings.

Charging

Connect the USB charging cable to the headphones and a power source. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

Fast Charging: 5 minutes of charging provides approximately 3 hours of playback.

Factory Reset

To reset the headphones to factory settings, turn them off, then press and hold the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the LED flashes.

LED Behaviors

Battery Status:

• Low Battery: Red LED indicator.
• Charging: Red LED indicator.
• Fully Charged: Grey LED indicator.

Connection Status:

• Power On: Blue LED indicator.
• BT Connecting: Blue flashing LED indicator.
• BT Connected: Solid blue LED indicator.
• BT Not Connected: Solid white LED indicator.

Other Modes:

• ANC/Ambient Aware/TalkThru: White LED indicator.

Battery Warning: Do not attempt to open, service, or disassemble the battery. Do not short circuit. May explode if disposed of in fire. Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose or recycle used batteries according to instructions.

RF Exposure Information: The SAR limit for Canada is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. The JBL TUNE770NC has been tested against this limit, with the highest reported SAR value for head use being 0.015 W/Kg. The device was tested for typical bodily operations with a 0 mm separation distance from the head. To maintain compliance with IC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain a 0 mm separation distance between the user's head and the back of the headset. Accessories should not contain metal parts. Use only the supplied or approved antenna.
