Get even more control and personalization of your listening experience with the free JBL Headphones app. Enhance your audio with advanced features.

Power On & Connect

To turn on and connect your headphones:

Press and hold the power button to turn on.
To enter pairing mode, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.
On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "JBL LIVE770NC" to connect.

For Android™ 6.0+ and Windows 10 v1803+: The headphones support Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for quick connection.

Multi-Point Connection

Connect up to two devices simultaneously. Press the multi-function button once to switch between connected devices.

Controls

Use the buttons on the headphones for various functions:

Tap/Press x1: Play/Pause, Answer/End Call, Mute/Unmute Microphone
Tap/Press x2: Next Track, Reject Call
Tap x3: Previous Track
Hold (2s): Activate Voice Assistant, Re-enter Pairing Mode
Volume Buttons (+/-): Adjust Volume, Next/Previous Track (long press)
ANC/Ambient Aware/TalkThru Button: Cycle through modes (ANC, Ambient Aware, TalkThru)

Voice Assistants: Access Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, or other voice assistants by pressing and holding the multi-function button.

*Enable advanced controls and customize settings via the JBL Headphones app.

Auto Play/Pause

The headphones automatically pause music when removed and resume when worn.

Wired Listening Mode

Connect the included audio cable for wired listening. Features like ANC, Ambient Aware, and TalkThru are available.

VoiceAware

VoiceAware allows you to control how much of your own voice is heard during calls, adjusting the level of ambient sound mixed with your voice.

Do More With The App

The JBL Headphones app offers enhanced control:

Ambient Sound Control: Adjust Noise Canceling (ANC), Ambient Aware, and TalkThru modes.
Customize ANC: Fine-tune noise cancellation settings.
Equalizer: Select from preset EQ modes (JAZZ, VOCAL, BASS, CLUB, STUDIO, EXTREME BASS) or create custom profiles.
Voice Assistant Settings: Configure your preferred voice assistant.

*App features are available on Android™ devices.

Hands-Free Voice Control (Hey Google)

Get more done on the go. Say "Hey Google" to start. Examples include: "Play my Workout playlist", "Turn on noise canceling", "Turn off ambient mode", "What's my schedule today?", "Set an alarm for 7 AM".

Note: Only available on Android™. Pre-set up is required.

Hands-Free Voice Control (Alexa)

Ask Alexa to play music, answer questions, play the news, check the weather, set alarms, control compatible smart home devices, and more. Examples include: "Alexa, play today's hits", "Alexa, volume up.", "Alexa, skip this song.", "Alexa, what's the weather?", "Alexa, turn off the TV.", "Alexa, start my commute".

Note: Android™ 6.0 or higher is required for full access to Alexa features. Alexa isn't available in all locations.

Charging

Connect the USB-C cable to charge your headphones. A 5-minute charge provides up to 4 hours of playback. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.

Factory Reset

To reset the headphones to factory settings, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.

LED Behaviors

Battery Status:

Red flashing: Low battery
Solid Red: Charging
Solid Blue: Fully charged

Bluetooth Status:

Flashing Blue: Power on / BT connecting
Solid Blue: BT connected
No Light: BT not connected

Mode Indicator:

White circle: ANC/Ambient Aware/TalkThru mode active
