4. Network Configuration
Cautions:
- It is essential to forget any other nearby networks and ensure your Android or iOS device is connected only to the Wireless network you intend to configure.
- Verify that your device's Wireless function is working correctly and can automatically reconnect to your original Wireless network.
Kindly Reminder:
- You must complete all network configuration steps within 8 minutes after powering on the air conditioner (AC). Otherwise, you will need to power it on again.
Using Android or iOS device to do network configuration:
Ensure your mobile device is connected to the desired Wireless network and that other irrelevant networks are forgotten.
1. Disconnect the power supply of the air conditioner.
2. Connect the power supply of the AC and activate AP mode. The display will show "AP" when the AC WIRELESS has entered AP Mode.
3. Carry out the network configuration by selecting the device type.
Network configuration steps:
- Please select the appliance type (e.g., Portable AC).
- Follow the on-screen steps to enter "AP" mode. This typically involves powering on the device and waiting, then pressing a specific button (e.g., "SWING") for more than 3 seconds until "AP" appears on the display.
- Choose the network configuration method: "Scan QR code on the unit" or "Manual Setup".
- If using "Manual Setup" (Android system only): Connect your phone to the device's temporary network (e.g., "net_ac_xxxx") using the provided password (e.g., "12345678").
- Select your home Wireless network (family WLAN) and enter its password.
- The network configuration is successful. Your device will appear in the list within the app.
NOTE: Step 4 (connecting to the device's network) is applicable to Android systems only; iOS systems do not require this step.
After Configuration:
The device name (e.g., "air conditioner_AC28") can be changed within the app to a more recognizable name like "PAC 3910 X".
Upon successful configuration, the app should display success messages. Due to varying Internet environments, the device status might initially show as "offline".
