Product Description

This MOES Smart Light Switch is a glass panel wireless touch smart switch designed with WiFi+RF technology to replace traditional light switches. It offers multiple control methods, including multi-control association with other smart switches via the Smart Life/Tuya App. Features include backlight on/off and relay status indication. The scratch-resistant glass panel complements various interior designs.

Button Sound On/Off: To enable or disable button sounds, ensure no operations are performed for 6 seconds. Then, press the switch button 4 times and hold the button on the fourth press until the switch emits two beeps (Di-Di). This indicates successful operation.

Warnings

  • Turn off the power at the circuit breaker and test that power is off before wiring.
  • A Neutral Wire is required. Confirm the wall box contains a Neutral Wire (typically white). If not, try another location or consult a professional electrician.
  • Wire colors indicated in this manual are typical and may differ in some installations.
  • Ensure wire conductors are securely fastened to each wire.
  • Ensure the Wi-Fi signal is steady and normally working before wiring.
  • If you lack wiring experience, please contact a professional electrician.

Installation

Before starting, ensure the power at the circuit breaker is off and verify with an electrical tester.

Step 1: Power Off and Wire Identification

Turn off the circuit breaker. Use an electrical tester to confirm power is off. Ensure the switch is off before proceeding with wiring.

Step 2: Wiring Connections

Remove the existing wall plate. Use an electrical tester to identify the line wire (the tester will flash and/or chirp when near a line wire). Label the line wire and other wires. Disconnect the wires from the existing switch using pliers. Follow the wiring diagram to connect the switch wires to the wires in the wall box using the provided wire conductors.

Step 3: Mounting the Switch

Mount the switch securely into the wall box using the provided screws. Snap the wall plate onto the switch.

Step 4: Power On and Testing

Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker. Test the switch to ensure the light turns on and off correctly.

Configure the APP to the Switch (Wi-Fi Link Method)

Preparation:

  • Ensure the switch is powered and connected to electricity.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and the internet.
  • The switch supports only the 2.4G Wi-Fi network. If you are connected to a 5G network, please disconnect it and connect to a 2.4G network.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Pair and Clear Wi-Fi Code:

  1. Open the Smart Life/Tuya App. Tap the "+" icon. The prompt page will automatically appear; tap "Go to add".
  2. Select the device you wish to add and tap "Add".
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap "Confirm". Wait for the connection to complete.
  4. Once the device is added successfully, you can edit its name by tapping "Done" to enter the device page.

How to Reset/Repair Wi-Fi Code: Press the switch button 6 times. Hold the button on the 6th press and release it when you hear three beeps (Di-Di-Di). The blue indicator on the switch will flash rapidly after 3 seconds, indicating a successful reset/repair.

Remote Radio Frequency (RF) Link Method

Pair and Clear RF Code:

1. How to Pair the RF Code:

  • 1.1 (Can be turned on and off): Ensure your switch is off. Press the switch button for approximately 8 seconds until you hear two beeps (Di-Di). The RF code matching is successful. The remote control key can now control the on/off state of the switch.
  • 1.2 (Open only): Ensure your switch is off. Press the switch button for approximately 5 seconds until you hear one beep (Di). Release the button, then press the corresponding button on the remote control to turn it on. RF code matching is successful. The remote control key can now control the corresponding position of the switch to be open.
  • 1.3 (Close only): Ensure your switch is on. Press the switch button for approximately 5 seconds until you hear one beep (Di). Release the button, then press the corresponding button on the remote control to turn it on. RF code matching is successful. The remote control key can now control the corresponding position of the switch to be closed.

2. How to Clear Up the RF Code: Ensure your switch is off. Press and hold the switch button until you hear four beeps (Di-Di-Di-Di), then release the button. The RF code is now cleared.

How to Achieve Multi-control Association

Note: Please confirm you have successfully completed the Wi-Fi link method for adding this switch to your Smart Life App before proceeding with association.

  1. Add another smart switch to the same Smart Life/Tuya App. If a smart switch has already been added, proceed to the next step. Note: The new switch does not need to be wired to the light; only L and N connections are required.
  2. You will see two devices in the app. Tap the main switch (e.g., a one-gang switch) to enter the next operation.
  3. Tap the icon in the upper right corner and select "Multi-Control Association". Then, tap the "+" icon in the right corner.
  4. Choose the switch you want to associate and select the switch button that will control the same light.
  5. Return to the previous page. You will see two items: your main switch and the associated switch. Ensure the associated switch is enabled.
  6. You can now control your light using two switches. Do not associate another button on the same switch for multi-control.
  7. To add a third or more smart switches to control the same light, repeat the steps above.

Set Your Echo Speaker by Alexa App

If you have completed the Smart Life installation, open the Amazon Alexa App and log in with your account credentials.

  1. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
  2. Select "Settings".
  3. Choose "Set up a new device" and select a device like Echo.

Note: When the prompt appears, long-press the small dot on your Echo device until the light turns yellow. Then, tap "Continue on the App".

Attention: Ensure your mobile phone is not running any VPN software during this process.

Choose your Wi-Fi network and wait a few minutes. After watching an introduction video, tap "Next Step". The app will then enter the Home page, indicating the Echo has been successfully connected to Wi-Fi.

Enter Smart Life Skill in Alexa App

  1. Select "Skills" from the options bar.
  2. Search for "Smart Life" in the input box.
  3. Input the username and password for your Smart Life APP account, which you previously registered.

You can now use your Alexa device to control your smart devices.
