Sharing Your Experience
Upload screenshots and video clips of your gameplay, or broadcast your gameplay live using online services. This requires signing in to PSNSM with a Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) master account.
Using the Controller
- Charging: Connect the controller to the PS4™ system via USB cable to charge the battery. The charge level can be checked on-screen. The system can be powered on or in standby mode for charging.
- Wireless Use: After initial USB connection and registration, the controller can be used wirelessly.
- Multiple Controllers: Up to four controllers can be used simultaneously. Each controller is assigned a color (blue, red, green, pink) based on the order of connection.
Power Management
- Standby Mode: Select [Enter Standby Mode] from the Power menu. The power indicator turns orange. This mode allows controller charging and continued PSNSM sign-in.
- Turning Off: Select [Turn Off PS4] from the Power menu for a complete shutdown. The power indicator will turn off.
Important Notes
- Disconnect the AC power cord only when the power indicator is off to prevent data loss or system damage.
- For wireless network connections, do not connect a LAN cable simultaneously, as the wired connection is prioritized.
- An internet connection is recommended for the full PS4™ experience.
- If video is not displayed correctly, turn off the system by holding the power button for at least 7 seconds, then turn it back on.
