Getting Started with PlayStation VR
This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your PlayStation VR (PS VR) headset. It covers unboxing, connecting components, powering on the system, and defining your play area for an optimal virtual reality experience.
The PlayStation VR system is designed to work seamlessly with your PlayStation 4 console and is also compatible with the PlayStation 5 console, offering immersive 3D audio and visual experiences.

Key Setup Steps
- Connect Headphones: Attach the stereo headphones to the VR headset, ensuring a secure connection.
- Connect to Console: Ensure your PS4 or PS5 console and TV are powered off. Connect the HDMI cable from your console to the processor unit, and then connect the processor unit to your TV. Connect the VR headset to the processor unit using the designated cable.
- Connect PlayStation Camera: Connect the PlayStation Camera to your PS4 console. If using with a PS5, utilize the provided PlayStation Camera adaptor.
- Power Up: Connect the AC power cord to the adaptor and plug it into a power outlet. Turn on your TV, then your PS4/PS5 console, and finally the VR headset. The headset's tracking lights will indicate it's active.
- Setup and Play Area: Follow the on-screen instructions on your TV for the initial PS VR setup. Define your play area to ensure safe and immersive gameplay. It's recommended to have a clear space of at least 1.5m x 2.0m for the best experience.
