The SRM Quarter Turn adapter ONLY supports the SRM PowerControl 8 and is made for Garmin® bike mounts with quarter turn compatibility ONLY. A Garmin® Quarter Turn adapter is not included.
Mounting the Adapter to the PC8
- Before mounting the SRM Quarter Turn adapter, ensure the backside of the PowerControl is clean and dry. Use isopropanol alcohol (IPA) in the marked area to remove grease or other residues before installing the adapter (See Figure 1).
- Notice: Ensure the adapter sits flat, straight, and centered on the backside of the PC8 housing, positioned around the raised connector. Once the 3M™ VHB™ tape is applied, no further adjustments can be made!
- Remove the red protective liner from the tape (See Figure 2).
- Place the adapter as shown in Figure 3 and apply pressure for at least 60 seconds. Covering the sticker on the back of the PC8 is acceptable.
- Allow the adapter to cure for at least 6 hours before use. The final bond strength is reached after approximately 24 hours.
Installing the PC8 to the Bike Mount
- Align the tabs of the adapter with the bike mount notches.
- Press down lightly on the PowerControl and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.
