This document provides instructions for operating and maintaining your VEVOR Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner, model YLW6222. Please read this manual carefully before operation and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
Safety Directions
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS VACUUM CLEANER.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not leave the vacuum cleaner plugged in. Turn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord when the vacuum cleaner is not in use and before servicing.
- Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by children or there are children nearby.
- Use only as this manual describes. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
- Do not use with a damaged power cord or plug.
- Do not pull or carry by the cord, use the cord as a handle, twist or pull the cord around sharp edges and corners. Do not run this vacuum over the cord. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not use extension cords or outlets with inadequate current carrying capacity.
- Turn off all controls before unplugging.
- Do not unplug by pulling on the cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
- Do not handle the plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands or operate without shoes.
- Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with the opening blocked. Keep the hose free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
- This vacuum cleaner creates suction and contains a revolving brush roll. Keep your hair, loose clothes, fingers, and other parts of your body away from the openings and moving parts of the vacuum cleaner.
- Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
- Do not use without the dust cup or filter in place.
- Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
- Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
- Store your cleaner indoors in a cool, dry area.
- Ensure you turn the unit off at a minimum every 15 minutes (for 1 minute) to let the motor cool down. Failure to do so may damage the motor.
- Do not use this unit for more than 4 hours (including breaks) on any given day.
Parts Name
Identify the components of your VEVOR Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner:
- Main Unit: Contains the dust barrel and motor housing.
- Hose: Flexible tube for suction or blowing.
- Extension Tube: Connects to the hose to extend reach.
- Handle: Attaches to the extension tube for comfortable grip.
- Floor Brush: Main cleaning head for floors.
- Hose Connector: Connects the hose to the main unit.
- Switch Button: Powers the vacuum on and off.
- Carrying Handle: For transporting the unit.
- Locking Block: Secures the upper housing to the dust barrel.
- Power Cord & Plug: For connecting to an electrical outlet.
- Dust Barrel: Collects debris.
- Wheel: Allows for easy movement of the unit.
- Sliding Block: Located on the hose/handle assembly, used to adjust airflow.
Accessory Brushes:
- Floor Brush: Suitable for carpet and wooden floors.
- Crevice Nozzle: Designed for cleaning corners, cracks, and tight spaces.
- Bristle Brush: Ideal for cleaning sofas, bookshelves, curtains, and furniture.
Operation Method
Assembly and Setup
Open Housing: Release the locking block [unlock symbol ?] to open the upper housing. This allows access to the wheels and other accessories stored inside.
Install Wheels and Basket: Insert the castor wheels into the designated holes on the base. Install the accessories basket onto the base and secure it with the provided 4 screws (screws are typically packed in a small polybag inside the tank).
Connect Hose: The main unit has two ports. Insert the hose connector into port ① for suction function. Insert the hose connector into port ② for blow function.
Hose and Extension Assembly
Attach Handle: Insert the handle into the extension tube with a twisting force until it is securely attached.
Connect Extension Tubes: Connect additional extension tubes if needed, following the same method as attaching the handle.
Attach Floor Brush: Connect the floor brush to the end of the extension tube assembly.
Accessory Storage: The unit features dual storage for accessories, allowing you to keep them organized.
Using the Vacuum Cleaner
Power Connection: Hold the plug firmly and insert it into a suitable electrical socket.
Turn On/Off: Press the switch button [power button symbol ⏻] to turn the cleaner on or off. Note: There is a water-proof switch cover for safety. Please replace it if it is found to be broken.
Adjust Airflow: You can adjust the airflow by pushing the sliding block [airflow control slider symbol ↔️] up and down on the hose/handle assembly.
To Replace Dust Bag / Empty Dust Barrel
If the dust barrel is full, please empty it as soon as possible to maintain optimal performance.
Open Housing: Release the locking block [unlock symbol ?] to open the upper housing.
Empty Barrel: Carefully lift the dust barrel and empty its contents into a suitable waste receptacle.
Reassemble: Place the upper housing back onto the dust barrel and fasten the locking panel securely.
Maintenance
Warning: When the filters are obviously covered with dust or the suction decreases considerably, please clean them in time. This can improve the working efficiency and extend the life of the cleaner. Never use the machine without filters.
Remove Filter: Twist the locking knob with an anti-clockwise motion [anti-clockwise arrow ↩️] to take off the filter.
Clean Filter: Clean the filter carefully. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
Dry Filter: Allow the filter to air dry completely [sun symbol ☀️]. Do not use the vacuum with a wet filter.
Reinstall Filter: Put the clean, dry filter back into its place and secure it.
