Key Features

  • Portability: Compact size and low current consumption make it ideal for portable operations like SOTA (Summits on the Air) and POTA (Parks on the Air).
  • Versatile Operation: Can be used as a standalone CW transceiver or as a Digimodes modem when connected to a PC.
  • Synthesized VFO: Features a Si5351A or MS5351M synthesizer chip with a rotary encoder for tuning, offering two VFOs (A and B) and RIT functionality.
  • Memory and Messaging: Includes 16 frequency presets and supports storage of 12 messages for automated transmissions.
  • CW Keyer: Integrated lambic keyer with adjustable speed and support for various modes.
  • Digital Modes: Seamless integration with PC software like WSJT-X for digital mode operation via a USB-C connection, which also provides a high-performance soundcard.
  • SWR Measurement: Built-in SWR bridge for monitoring and protection.
  • Real-time Clock: Display of current time, which can be set via GPS or manually.

Connectivity

The QMX offers various connectors for peripherals:

  • Paddle Connector: For CW paddle input, GPS interface, or microphone and PTT input for SSB mode.
  • Audio Connector: For connecting 32-ohm earphones.
  • DC Connector: For power input (6.0V to 12.0V).
  • RF Connector: A 50-ohm BNC connector for antenna connection.
  • PTT Connector: For controlling external amplifiers.
  • USB Connector: USB-C for PC connection, firmware updates, and CAT control.
