11. Troubleshooting
Before sending your device for service, please review the following information.
When the power does not turn on
- Check if the power cord is properly connected to the soundbar.
When some functions do not work correctly
- Disconnect the power cord, then reconnect it.
- Turn off the connected external device, then turn it back on.
- If there is no input signal, the soundbar will automatically turn off after a certain period. Turn on the power.
If the remote control does not work correctly
- Point the remote control directly at the soundbar and aim it at the signal receivers on the soundbar.
- Replace the batteries with new ones.
If the soundbar does not emit any sound
- The volume on the soundbar may be set too low, or it may be muted. Adjust the volume level.
- If an external device (STB, Bluetooth device, mobile device, etc.) is connected to the soundbar, adjust the volume on each device.
- The sound may be set to output to the TV. Change the setting to play audio from the TV through the soundbar. (Samsung TV: Home Menu → Menu → Settings → All Settings → Sound → Sound Output → Select Soundbar).
- The cable connected to the soundbar may be loose. Disconnect the cable from the soundbar and reconnect it.
- Disconnect the power cord, reconnect it, and turn on the soundbar.
- Reset the soundbar and try again. (See page 22).
If there is no sound from the subwoofer or surround speakers
- Check if the LED indicator on the back of the subwoofer and surround speakers is lit blue. If the indicator is red or blinking blue, you need to re-establish the connection. (See page 10).
- Obstacles between the soundbar and the subwoofer may cause issues. Move the subwoofer to a location without obstructions.
- If there is a device emitting radio signals nearby, it may interfere with the connection. Keep the soundbar and other speakers away from such devices.
- Disconnect the power cord plug, then reconnect it.
If the subwoofer or surround speakers emit noise or skip
- Obstacles between the soundbar and the subwoofer may cause issues. Move the subwoofer to a location without obstructions.
- If the subwoofer and surround speakers are placed too far from the soundbar, it may cause playback interference. Place these speakers closer to the soundbar.
- Placing the soundbar close to devices or electronic equipment that cause radio signal interference may result in playback skipping. Place the soundbar away from any devices that cause radio interference (e.g., wireless routers).
- Switch the TV from wireless to wired connection.
When the subwoofer sound is quiet
- The currently playing audio may have inherently low volume. Adjust the subwoofer volume using the Woofer Level button on the remote control.
- Place the subwoofer closer to you.
When the TV cannot connect via HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC)
- Check if the HDMI cable is properly connected to the ARC or eARC port. (See page 12).
- Connection with the soundbar may not work due to other devices connected to the TV (e.g., cable TV set-top boxes, game consoles, etc.). Connect only the soundbar to the TV, without any other devices.
- The TV's HDMI-CEC function may not be enabled. In the TV menu, enable the CEC function. (Samsung TV: Home Menu → Menu → Settings → All Settings → Connection → External Device Manager → Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) On).
- To connect using the eARC function, it must be enabled in the TV menu. (Samsung TV: Home Menu → Menu → Settings → All Settings → Sound → Expert Settings → HDMI-eARC Mode (Auto)).
No Sound After Connecting the TV in HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC) Mode
- The soundbar is unable to play the received signal. Change the TV's audio output to PCM or Dolby Digital. (Samsung TV: Home Menu → Menu → Settings → All Settings → Sound → Advanced Settings → Digital Audio Signal Output Format).
When You Cannot Establish a Bluetooth Connection
- To connect a new device to the soundbar, switch to BT PAIRING mode. Press the PAIR button on the remote or the Source button (⏏) and hold for at least 3 seconds.
- If the soundbar is connected to another device, you must first disconnect that device to switch to another device.
- Remove the speaker from the Bluetooth speaker list on the device, and then establish the connection again. (Samsung TV: Home Menu → Menu → Settings → All Settings → Sound → Sound Output → Bluetooth Speaker List).
- The TV CONNECT function may be turned off. When the soundbar is operating in BT READY mode, press the Left button on the soundbar remote and hold for 5 seconds to select ON-TV CONNECT mode. If OFF-TV CONNECT is visible, press and hold the Left button for 5 seconds to change the selection.
LED Indicator | Status |
---|---|
Blinking blue x1 | ON-TV CONNECT |
Blinking red x1 | OFF-TV CONNECT |
- Disconnect the power cord plug, reconnect it, and try again.
- Reset the soundbar and try again. (See page 22).
When Sound Skips Due to Weak Bluetooth Connection
- Placing the soundbar close to devices or electronic equipment that cause radio signal interference may result in playback skipping. (e.g., microwave ovens, wireless routers, etc.).
- Audio playback may be interrupted if the connected device is too far from the soundbar. Place the device closer to the soundbar.
- If the user's body touches the Bluetooth transmitter or the soundbar is placed on metal furniture, the sound may skip. Check the installation location and environmental conditions.
When You Cannot Connect via Wi-Fi
- Check if your wireless router is turned on. Turn off the router, turn it back on, and try again.
- If the signal from the wireless router is too weak, a Wi-Fi connection may not be possible. Move the wireless router closer to the soundbar or place it in a location where it is not obstructed.
- If you have installed a new wireless router, you need to reconfigure the soundbar's network settings. (See page 18, "Changing the Wi-Fi Network (Wireless Network)").
- The soundbar does not support Wi-Fi 6 standard.
If the Soundbar Does Not Turn On When the TV Turns On
- If you turn off the soundbar while watching TV, the Auto Power Link function on the soundbar will also be turned off. Turn off the TV first.
My TV and Soundbar are Connected, but When I Switch to Soundbar Mode, No Sound is Heard from the TV Speakers
- If you connect a mobile device to the soundbar while it is connected to the TV and playing audio, the audio output will switch to the mobile device, but the soundbar will remain connected to the TV. Audio from the TV will not be directed to any speakers. Once you disconnect from the mobile device, TV audio will be directed to the soundbar again.
When the Soundbar is Not Visible in the AirPlay App
- To enable AirPlay on the soundbar, you must first accept the terms of use for the Samsung SmartThings app and register the device. (See page 18).
- AirPlay will not work if the soundbar is removed from the Samsung SmartThings app.
- Ensure the soundbar and Apple device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- The soundbar is compatible with AirPlay installed on devices with iOS 13.4 or later.
If the Group Play function does not turn on.
- Check if your audio device is a new model, manufactured in 2024 or later.
- Check if the host device, the source, is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
- Audio devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network (5 GHz).
