Operating Instructions

How to Use the Anti-Overflow Waffle Maker

  1. Prepare your waffle batter.
  2. Place the waffle maker on a flat, dry surface with adequate space on all sides. Note: Do not use aerosol nonstick spray; use a small amount of cooking oil on the plates if desired.
  3. Unwind the power cord and plug it into a wall outlet. The red POWER light will illuminate, and the waffle maker will begin preheating.
  4. After approximately 5 minutes, the blue READY light will illuminate, indicating the waffle maker is fully heated.
  5. Use the Shade Setting Knob to select your desired browning level (from MIN for lightest to MAX for darkest).
  6. Use the included measuring cup to scoop batter. Use the 160 ml line for thick batter and the 125 ml line for thin batter. The cup's handle can rest on the side of the batter bowl.
  7. Carefully open the lid by pressing the latch release grip.
  8. Pour the batter onto the center of the lower cooking plate. Adjust batter amount as needed to prevent overflow.
  9. Close the lid. The blue READY light will turn off while the waffle cooks. ⚠️ WARNING: Hot steam may escape from the sides during cooking and can cause burns. Keep hands and face away from steam.
  10. When the blue READY light illuminates again, carefully open the lid. ⚠️ WARNING: Use extreme caution due to escaping hot steam.
  11. Use silicone-tipped tongs to remove the cooked waffle. Do not use metal utensils, as they can scratch the nonstick surface.
  12. To make more waffles, brush away any crumbs from the plates, close the lid, and allow the waffle maker to reheat until the blue READY light comes back on. Repeat steps 6-11.
  13. When finished, unplug the waffle maker. Allow it to cool completely before cleaning and storing in a cool, dry place.

Waffle Making Tips

  • Mix waffle batter just until large lumps disappear; overmixing can make waffles tough.
  • When adding mix-ins (fruit, chocolate chips), experiment with small amounts of batter first to find the right ratio.
  • Do not open the waffle maker during the first minute of cooking to prevent waffle separation.
  • If the lid is difficult to lift after cooking, allow the waffle to cook for additional 30-second increments.
  • Waffle results may vary based on the waffle mix or recipe used.
  • To keep waffles warm, place them on a wire rack set on a baking sheet in a 200°F oven, allowing air to flow beneath for crispness.
  • Cooked waffles can be frozen. Cool them completely, then transfer to a zip-top bag or aluminum foil. Reheat in a toaster, toaster oven, or oven.

Cleaning and Maintenance

With its nonstick plates, the waffle maker is easy to clean.

  1. Unplug the waffle maker and let it cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Use a soft bristle brush (like a pastry brush) or a paper towel to brush away crumbs from the plates. The measuring cup can be washed with warm, soapy water and a sponge.
  3. The waffle maker does not disassemble for cleaning. Gently wipe down the interior plates and exterior with a damp cloth or paper towel.
  4. For stubborn cooked-on batter, pour a small amount of cooking oil onto the hardened batter, let sit for 5 minutes, then wipe off with a dry or damp paper towel. Never use coarse scouring pads or steel wool, as they can damage the surfaces. CAUTION: Never immerse the waffle maker, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  5. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing.
  6. The power cord can be wrapped underneath the waffle maker for storage. The waffle maker can be stored upright to save space.
