General Precautions and Care
Important information regarding the use and maintenance of your Casio watch.
Precautions
- Avoid extreme temperatures.
- Handle with care; do not drop.
- Do not overtighten the watch strap. Ensure a finger can fit between your wrist and the strap.
- Clean with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances like gasoline, solvents, or spray cleaners.
- Store in a dry place when not in use.
- Prevent contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray cleaners, adhesives, paint, etc., as chemical reactions can damage gaskets, case, and finish.
- Exercise caution when cleaning straps with silk-screened graphics to avoid damaging the designs.
Battery
The battery installed at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage. If the display becomes dim or unclear, replace the battery at an authorized CASIO service center or dealer.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I to V). Ensure correct usage based on the rating:

Notes on Water Resistance:

- Level III (5 Bar/50 Meters): Suitable for showering and brief swimming.
- Level IV (10 Bar/100 Meters): Suitable for regular swimming and snorkeling.

- Never unscrew the crown underwater.
- If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely.
- Avoid wearing watches with leather straps during swimming or prolonged water contact.
Plastic Strap Care
White powder on plastic straps is harmless and removable. Sweat or moisture can damage plastic straps over time. Clean straps regularly with a soft cloth to ensure longevity.
Fluorescent Case/Band Care
Prolonged direct sunlight or moisture can cause fluorescent colors to fade. Wipe off moisture promptly. Friction with other surfaces can transfer fluorescent paint.
Watch Maintenance
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- Gaskets should be replaced every 2-3 years to maintain water and dust resistance.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by a dealer or CASIO distributor.
