3 WORKOUT TIPS

3.1 General Instructions

Perform exercises correctly to avoid injuries and achieve desired results. Use proper technique and appropriate intensity. Consult a trainer or doctor if unsure. Start with low load, increase gradually. End with a cool-down. Contact your doctor for questions.

3.1.1 Training clothes

Wear comfortable, breathable sports clothing. Avoid restrictive items. Ensure shoes offer sufficient support. Carry a towel for sweat and cleaning.

3.1.2 Warming up and stretching

Warm up and stretch properly before training to prevent injury and improve performance. Stretching loosens muscles and improves flexibility. Incorporate a short stretching routine before each workout.

Warm-up exercise:

  1. Stand upright, feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Perform gentle arm circles forwards in a controlled manner.
  3. Perform arm circles backwards to loosen shoulders and arms.
  4. Perform squats, keeping knees behind toes.

CAUTION

Do not exercise with sore muscles or take it easy on affected muscles, as this can lead to injuries.

3.1.3 Medication

If taking medication, be aware of possible side effects. Consult your doctor about medication's impact on your workout.

3.1.4 Used muscle groups

This training targets the following muscle groups:

Maintain a straight back during training. Avoid hunching or arching. Keep a slight bend in legs during backward movement.

3.1.5 Exercise frequency

Regular exercise is crucial for progress and long-term health. It strengthens muscles, improves endurance, and enhances well-being. Small, regular workouts yield long-term results.

Training with heart rate orientation

Heart rate orientation ensures effective and healthy training. Use age and the table to determine optimal training pulse. An acoustic alarm sounds if the target heart rate is exceeded. The table below shows target heart rates for different training goals.

Fat burning (weight management):

Goal: Burn fat deposits. Requires low training intensity (approx. 55% of max heart rate) and longer duration.

Cardiovascular training (cardio training):

Goal: Increase stamina and fitness through improved oxygen supply. Requires medium intensity (approx. 75% of max heart rate) and medium duration.

Anaerobic (maximum) load training:

Goal: Improve recovery after short, intense loads. Requires high intensity (approx. 90% of max heart rate) with short, intense load, followed by recovery.

Example:

For a 45-year-old man, max heart rate = 175 (220 - 45). Target zones:
