Important: Read Before Setup
⚠️ Setup must be completed in the correct order to ensure your mapping study runs as intended. This guide provides required steps for logging in, connecting hardware, pairing sensors, and preparing your loggers for use in the Mapping Suite.
⚠️ Do not begin installation or power on any devices until you have reviewed the full guide. Improper setup may result in configuration errors or unusable study data.
Step 1: Log In to Your Mapping Suite Account
⚠️ Your DicksonOne Mapping Suite account has already been created. The email address registered to the account is provided on the insert card inside your kit. Do not create a new account. Follow the steps below to complete your setup properly.
- Go to mapping.dicksonone.com
- Click Lost Password
- Enter the email address provided on your insert card
- Click Reset Password and follow the email instructions to set a new password
- Log in using your new credentials
- Once logged in, open a new browser tab and go to app.mapping.dicksonone.com
- You are now in the Mapping Suite application
Step 2: Set Up the Gateway
- Your gateway is already registered to your account
- Attach the antenna to the gateway
- Connect power using the power adapter or via PoE
- Wait approximately 2 minutes for the device to boot:
- The LED will pulse green ➡️ red ➡️ blue
- A pulsing blue LED confirms a successful cellular connection to your account
Step 3: Set Up the Loggers and Sensors
⚠️ Important: Once a sensor is connected to a logger, it becomes permanently paired and cannot be swapped. Write the sensor's serial number on the label next to the logger's sensor port before installation.
For each logger:
- Slide off the mounting plate
- Remove the battery door
- Insert 2 AA batteries
- Firmly insert the sensor into the sensor port
- Write the sensor serial number on the label on the back of the logger
- Replace the battery door and mounting plate
- Press the power button to turn the logger on
After approximately 1 minute, the logger will display a 6-digit registration code.
Step 4: Claim Loggers in Mapping Suite
⚠️ If your facility already has DicksonOne loggers or gateways installed, contact support@dicksonone.com before proceeding.
- Go to app.mapping.dicksonone.com and log in
- Navigate to Manage Hardware > Add Hardware
A web browser window showing the DicksonOne Mapping Suite interface. The main area is titled 'Manage Hardware' with a button labeled '+ Add Hardware'. Navigation links include 'Mapping Studies', 'Audit Trail', and 'Data Loggers'.
- All available loggers will appear in the Add Hardware table
- Click Register Logger next to each RFL-M device
- Once registered, loggers will appear as Available under Manage Hardware. They are now ready to be assigned for your mapping
A web browser window showing the DicksonOne Mapping Suite 'Manage Hardware' section. A table lists data loggers with columns for 'Logger Serial No.', 'Current Availability' (showing 'Available'), 'Study Status', 'Study Name', 'Firmware Version' (e.g., '1.4.2-M'), 'Last Reading Time', and 'Battery Level'. A button 'Register Logger' is visible next to each device.
