1. Hardware Introduction

(1) Overview

The DEVO smart lock features a Fingerprint Scanner, Touchscreen Keypad, Cancel/Return/Lock button, Confirm/Enter button, Doorbell Button, Mechanical Key Hole, and Emergency Power Supply Port. The exterior assembly also includes a Battery Cover, Reset Button, and ON/OFF Button. The emergency power supply port is for emergency power only, not for charging.

5. Installation Overview

Follow these steps to install the DEVO G3 Smart Lock:

  1. Install Deadbolt: Check your door for the correct backset (60mm or 70mm). If the backset is 70mm, rotate the faceplate 180°. Ensure the deadbolt is installed with the word "UP" facing upwards.
  2. Install Strike Plate: Secure the strike plate and box to the doorframe using the provided screws.
  3. Install Exterior Assembly: Measure your door's cross bore dimension. If it's 1 1/2" / 38mm, remove the adapter. If it's 1 7/8" / 54mm, keep the adapter. Route the cable under the latch and ensure the tailpiece is vertical.
  4. Install Interior Assembly: Detach the back cover. Run the wires through the back cover. Secure the back cover with the appropriate screws (Screw A for 45-55mm doors, Screw B for 35-45mm doors). Tightly fasten the screws.
  5. Fix Exterior Assembly: Use the double-sided tape to attach the exterior assembly.
  6. Wire to Interior Assembly: Connect the data cable to the interior assembly.
  7. Mount Interior Assembly: Ensure the wire is tucked into the cabin on the back of the interior assembly.
  8. Check Deadbolt: Turn the thumbturn to ensure the deadbolt retracts smoothly.
  9. Install Batteries: Insert 8 AA batteries, paying attention to the positive and negative poles. The lock is now ready for use.

6. Programming Instructions

The DEVO G3 Smart Lock supports different user types:

(2) Enter The Function Settings Mode

Short press the "Settings" button. You will hear a voice prompt: "Please verify administrator user." Enter the administrator password and press the "unlock" button to confirm. Successful verification enters the setting mode.

Note: When automatic locking is enabled, the lock enters an unlocked state and will automatically close after a set time.

(4) Restore Factory Settings

  1. Press and hold the "Set" button for 4 seconds until a "dong" sound is heard.
  2. Press and hold the button until a voice prompt is heard. Press the unlock button to confirm.
  3. Press the unlock button within 4 seconds to confirm factory reset.

  1. Press the setting button. If no administrator password is set, a prompt will ask you to set one.
  2. Enter the administrator password and press the unlock button to confirm.
  3. Follow the voice prompts, re-enter the administrator password, and press the unlock button to confirm.

7. Troubleshooting

Can't connect to Wi-Fi
  • Device supports only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
  • Ensure the lock is in pairing mode.
  • Connect your phone to the same 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Verify your phone's network access does not restrict 5G or 2.4G.
  • Test Wi-Fi network requirements using a phone hotspot. Check router settings for frequency band and signal stability.
The device is stay offline and cannot reconnect to the network
  • Check if the lock has entered dormant mode (APP will be offline).
  • When battery power is below 10%, the lock enters low-power mode and disconnects from the network. Basic functions like locking/unlocking remain. Doorbell triggers are not affected by low battery.

Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device. It generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used according to instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. If interference occurs, reorient or relocate the receiving antenna, increase separation between equipment and receiver, or connect to a different circuit. Consult a dealer or technician for help. This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits for an uncontrolled environment and should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body.
