Diagram Description 1: An 8K Source device outputting 8K HDR signal is connected to the Splitter. The Splitter outputs to two displays: one display receives the signal via Bypass and shows 8K HDR TV. The other display receives the signal via Downscaling & Converting and shows 4K SDR TV.
Diagram Description 2: An 8K Source device outputting 8K HDR signal is connected to the Splitter. The Splitter outputs to two displays: one display receives the signal via Downscaling & Converting and shows 1080P SDR TV. The second output is implied to be similar or a different configuration not fully detailed in this specific diagram.
Diagram Description 3: A 4K Source device outputting 4K HDR signal is connected to the Splitter. The Splitter outputs to two displays: one display receives the signal via Bypass and shows 8K HDR TV. The other display receives the signal via Downscaling & Converting and shows 1080P SDR TV.
Diagram Description 4: A 4K Source device outputting 4K HDR signal is connected to the Splitter. The Splitter outputs to two displays: one display receives the signal via Bypass and shows 4K HDR TV. The other display receives the signal via Downscaling & Converting and shows 1080P DVI TV (No sound).
Diagram Description 5: A 1080P Source device outputting 1080P HDR signal is connected to the Splitter. The Splitter outputs to two displays: one display receives the signal via Bypass and shows 4K HDR TV. The other display receives the signal via Downscaling & Converting and shows 1080P SDR TV.
Diagram Description 6: A 1080P Source device outputting 1080P HDR signal is connected to the Splitter. The Splitter outputs to two displays: one display receives the signal via Bypass and shows 1080P HDR TV. The other display receives the signal via Downscaling & Converting and shows 1080P DVI TV (No sound).
Note: If the source resolution is downscaled and converted to 1080P DVI according to the EDID of display devices, it will be output without sound on TV.
Downscaling will not work in the following conditions:
- 1. The input source is 8K DSC format.
- 2. The resolution of input source is not supported by the splitter.
Application Example
Diagram Description: A DVD or Blu-ray Player is connected via HDMI to the 'IN' port of the splitter. The splitter's 'OUT 1' port connects to an 8K TV 1. The splitter's 'OUT 2' port connects to an 8K TV 2. The splitter's 'OPTICAL' port connects to an Audio Amplifier, which in turn connects to 2.0 Speakers. The splitter's 'L/R' port also connects to the 2.0 Speakers (or an alternative audio output). The splitter's 'DC 5V' port connects to the Power Supply.
