Recommendations and Suggestions
Installation
- The manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from incorrect or improper installation.
- Ensure the mains voltage matches the rating plate.
- For Class I appliances, ensure adequate earthing.
- Connect the extractor to an exhaust flue with a minimum diameter of 120mm. Keep the flue route as short as possible.
- Do not connect the extractor hood to exhaust ducts carrying combustion fumes (e.g., boilers, fireplaces).
- If the gas hob installation instructions specify a greater distance, this must be taken into account.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- Air must not be discharged into a flue used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels (unless the appliance only discharges air back into the room).
- The minimum distance between the supporting surface for cooking vessels on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood is 650 mm.
- Regulations concerning air discharge must be fulfilled.
Use
- The extractor hood is designed exclusively for domestic use to eliminate kitchen smells.
- Never use the hood for purposes other than intended.
- Never leave high naked flames under the hood during operation.
- Adjust flame intensity to direct it onto the bottom of the pan only, ensuring it does not engulf the sides.
- Deep fat fryers must be continuously monitored during use; overheated oil can burst into flames.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Ensure adequate room ventilation when the range hood is used simultaneously with appliances burning gas or other fuels (not applicable to appliances that only discharge air back into the room).
- There is a fire risk if cleaning is not carried out according to instructions. Do not flame under the range hood.
- CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.
Maintenance
- Clean the cooker hood and its filters regularly according to instructions.
- Switch off or unplug the appliance from the mains supply before carrying out any maintenance.
- Clean the hood using a damp cloth and a neutral liquid detergent.
- The appliance uses a maximum of 4 hob elements.

Installation
Wall Drilling and Bracket Fixing
- Read instructions carefully.
- Unpack and check all functions. Verify voltage and frequency match installation site.
- Ensure the area behind the installation surface is clear of electrical cables or pipes.
- Protect the canopy's stainless steel and glass surfaces during installation to prevent damage.
- Protect the cooktop surface below with cardboard or similar material to prevent damage.
- The manufacturer is not liable for failure to observe all safety regulations for electrical parts.
Information
- Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhaustion of gases through the flue to prevent back drafting. Ductless fans must always be vented outdoors.
- Consider the entire ventilation system in the house/apartment when assessing air pressure.
- Observe government regulations for air discharge. If using circulating air mode with an activated carbon filter, there are no operating restrictions.
- For extraction-air mode, choose between horizontal or vertical ventilation. Use tools to remove the cover and install the check valve.
- A square air check valve for horizontal ventilation is not supplied.
Choose a Venting Mode
Extraction-air mode: Turn the venting knob to vent outside.
Circulating-air mode: Turn the venting knob to recirculate air.
Prepare the Installation
- Ensure power is turned off before installation. The plug must be in an easily accessible location.
- Two assistants are required for installation.
- Tools needed: Drill, Phillips Screwdriver, Tape Measure, Hand Saw or Jig Saw.
- Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified persons in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.
- Do not discharge exhaust air into a flue from other appliances burning gas or other fuels.
- Regulations concerning air discharge must be fulfilled.
- The cooker hood must be placed at a minimum distance of 65cm and a maximum distance of 75cm above the cooking surface of the hob.
Cupboard Mounting Installation
- Drill a 130mm diameter hole and four 3.5mm diameter holes as shown in the picture.
- Warning: Failure to install screws or fixing devices correctly may result in electrical hazards.
- ATTENTION: If your cooker hood operates in circulating-air mode, the 130mm diameter hole is not necessary.
- Use the 4 screws to fix the cooker hood to a kitchen cupboard. Temporarily fit the hood to check correct fixing locations. If correct, fit the unit and tighten screws if necessary.
Wall Mounting Installation
- To mount on the wall, drill two 10mm diameter holes at the specified distances (696/675/538mm) with the vent hole in the middle of the cooker hood. Ensure the hood is aligned directly over the hob.
- Insert two plastic wall plugs (supplied) into the holes.
- Insert two screws into the upper two plastic wall plugs, leaving 3mm protruding from the wall.
- Mount the cooker hood onto the two screws and mark the bottom two screw positions.
- Remove the hood, drill the bottom two screw holes, and insert the plastic wall plugs.
- Mount the hood on the top screws, insert the bottom screws, and fully tighten all screws.
Operation
The cooker hood has the following controls:
- OFF MOTOR SWITCH: Press to stop the motor.
- SPEED SWITCH (Low): Press for low speed operation.
- SPEED SWITCH (Medium): Press for medium speed operation.
