The DENVER WCM-5003MK3 Wildkamera is a trail camera designed for wildlife monitoring. This guide provides essential information for its setup and operation.

Viewing Photos and Videos

To review captured media on the camera:

  1. Turn the camera OFF.
  2. Slide the power switch to the TEST position.
  3. Press the [OK key] on the remote control to enter the viewing mode.

Note: Press the [OK key] to return to the previous screen.

Important Considerations

Please note that adverse weather conditions can affect image quality:

Heavy rain, fog, and drizzle, particularly in dark conditions, may result in photos appearing white or lacking clear subject detail. This is not an error with the camera.

Sending Images via 2G/GSM/MMS/GPRS

Preparation:

  1. Ensure you have an active 2G/GSM Mobile Operator Service.
  2. Format a microSD card (up to 2GB).
  3. A computer running Windows 7, Windows 8, or Vista is required.
  4. Use a SIM card that does not have a PIN lock enabled.
  5. The SIM card must be capable of sending images over 2G/GSM/GPRS/MMS networks.
  6. Power: The camera requires 6V power, supplied either by 4 or 8 AA batteries, or a 6V external power supply.
  7. The MMSCONFIG program is included on a CD.
  8. Obtain 2G MMS data from your mobile provider, including APN, account, password, MMSC, IP, and PORT details, or find this information on their homepage.
  9. Obtain 2G GPRS data for SMTP settings from your provider, including APN, account, and password.
  10. Gather the sender email server information: server address, port, email address, and password.

MMS Setting Steps

  1. Insert the microSD card and SIM card into the camera. Install batteries and screw on the antenna. Set the camera to TEST mode. Confirm that the signal bar and "SIM" indicator are visible on the camera screen.
  2. Connect the camera to your PC using the provided USB cable. Insert the CD into your computer, open it, and double-click the [MMSCONFIG program].
  3. In the camera's menu, navigate to the MMS table and select "MMS MODE".
  4. Configure the "Gprs Setting" and "Server Setting" parameters.
  5. Fill in the "Phone Setting" (e.g., Phone1) and "Email Setting" (e.g., Email1) fields.
  6. Go to the SMTP table and set "SMTP ON/OFF" to "ON".
  7. Click the [Save button] and save the configuration file as "Parameter.dat" to the microSD card.
  8. Disconnect the USB cable from the camera.
  9. In the camera menu, navigate to "Country", "Operator", and "MMS APN". Verify that these settings match the information previously configured.
  10. Turn the camera to ON mode.

GPRS Setting Steps

  1. Insert the microSD card and SIM card into the camera. Install batteries and screw on the antenna. Set the camera to TEST mode. Confirm that the signal bar and "SIM" indicator are visible on the camera screen.
  2. Connect the camera to your PC using the provided USB cable. Insert the CD into your computer, open it, and double-click the [MMSCONFIG program].
  3. In the camera's menu, navigate to the SMTP table and select "SMTP MODE" as "Manual".
  4. Configure the "Gprs Setting" (APN, Account, Password) and "Email Setting" (Server, Port, Email, Password). Set the "Server Setting" type appropriately (e.g., "Other", "No SSL", "SSL", "STARTTLS").
  5. Go to the MMS table and set "MMS ON/OFF" to "OFF".
  6. Click the [Save button] and save the configuration file as "Parameter.dat" to the microSD card.
  7. Disconnect the USB cable from the camera.
  8. In the camera menu, navigate to "Country", "Operator", and "SMTP APN". Verify that these settings match the information previously configured.
  9. Turn the camera to ON mode.

SMS Command List

For MMS/SMTP commands to function, they must first be set to 'ON' mode.
