The DENVER WCM-5003MK3 Wildkamera is a trail camera designed for wildlife monitoring. This guide provides essential information for its setup and operation.

Operation Modes
The camera operates in three modes, controlled by the power switch:
- OFF mode: Power switch at OFF position. This is the safe mode for handling the microSD card or batteries, and for transporting the camera.
- ON mode: Power switch at ON position.
- TEST mode: Power switch at TEST position.
System Setting Modes:
Within the system settings, there are three capture modes:
- Camera: Captures photos only.
- Video: Captures videos only.
- Camera & Video: Captures a photo first, then records a video.
Capturing Photos or Videos
Photos and videos can be captured using two methods:

Manually using the remote control:
With the power switch set to 'TEST', press the [Shot button (Right)] on the remote control to take a photo or video. No menu display is required.

Automatically:
When the power switch is set to ON, the LED blinks for 15 seconds. The camera then automatically captures photos or videos upon detecting motion.
Viewing Photos and Videos
To review captured media on the camera:
- Turn the camera OFF.
- Slide the power switch to the TEST position.
- Press the [OK key] on the remote control to enter the viewing mode.
- Photos: Use the [Up/Down buttons] on the remote control to cycle through photos.
- Videos: Press the [Left button] on the remote control to start video playback; press it again to stop.
Note: Press the [OK key] to return to the previous screen.
Important Considerations
Please note that adverse weather conditions can affect image quality:
Heavy rain, fog, and drizzle, particularly in dark conditions, may result in photos appearing white or lacking clear subject detail. This is not an error with the camera.
Sending Images via 2G/GSM/MMS/GPRS
Preparation:
- Ensure you have an active 2G/GSM Mobile Operator Service.
- Format a microSD card (up to 2GB).
- A computer running Windows 7, Windows 8, or Vista is required.
- Use a SIM card that does not have a PIN lock enabled.
- The SIM card must be capable of sending images over 2G/GSM/GPRS/MMS networks.
- Power: The camera requires 6V power, supplied either by 4 or 8 AA batteries, or a 6V external power supply.
- The MMSCONFIG program is included on a CD.
- Obtain 2G MMS data from your mobile provider, including APN, account, password, MMSC, IP, and PORT details, or find this information on their homepage.
- Obtain 2G GPRS data for SMTP settings from your provider, including APN, account, and password.
- Gather the sender email server information: server address, port, email address, and password.
MMS Setting Steps
- Insert the microSD card and SIM card into the camera. Install batteries and screw on the antenna. Set the camera to TEST mode. Confirm that the signal bar and "SIM" indicator are visible on the camera screen.
- Connect the camera to your PC using the provided USB cable. Insert the CD into your computer, open it, and double-click the [MMSCONFIG program].
- In the camera's menu, navigate to the MMS table and select "MMS MODE".
- Configure the "Gprs Setting" and "Server Setting" parameters.
- Fill in the "Phone Setting" (e.g., Phone1) and "Email Setting" (e.g., Email1) fields.
- Go to the SMTP table and set "SMTP ON/OFF" to "ON".
- Click the [Save button] and save the configuration file as "Parameter.dat" to the microSD card.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the camera.
- In the camera menu, navigate to "Country", "Operator", and "MMS APN". Verify that these settings match the information previously configured.
- Turn the camera to ON mode.
GPRS Setting Steps
- Insert the microSD card and SIM card into the camera. Install batteries and screw on the antenna. Set the camera to TEST mode. Confirm that the signal bar and "SIM" indicator are visible on the camera screen.
- Connect the camera to your PC using the provided USB cable. Insert the CD into your computer, open it, and double-click the [MMSCONFIG program].
- In the camera's menu, navigate to the SMTP table and select "SMTP MODE" as "Manual".
- Configure the "Gprs Setting" (APN, Account, Password) and "Email Setting" (Server, Port, Email, Password). Set the "Server Setting" type appropriately (e.g., "Other", "No SSL", "SSL", "STARTTLS").
- Go to the MMS table and set "MMS ON/OFF" to "OFF".
- Click the [Save button] and save the configuration file as "Parameter.dat" to the microSD card.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the camera.
- In the camera menu, navigate to "Country", "Operator", and "SMTP APN". Verify that these settings match the information previously configured.
- Turn the camera to ON mode.
SMS Command List
For MMS/SMTP commands to function, they must first be set to 'ON' mode.
- *500* Take picture: The SIM card will respond with "Capture" upon receiving this command. This command is compatible with both MMS and SMTP modes.
- *505* Take picture and send to sender's mobile: Upon receiving the *505* command, the SIM card will send "Start capturing..." and then transmit the picture to the specified Mobile ID and/or email. This works regardless of whether the camera is in MMS or SMTP mode. If the camera is configured for MMS mode only, images will be sent via MMS to the originating mobile number.
- *520* Check picture quantity and battery status: The SIM card will report "Total Jpg: [number], Free Space: [size], Battery Level: [level]" when this command is received. This command is compatible with both MMS and SMTP modes.
- *530* Turn on sensor: The SIM card will respond with "Start OK" upon receiving this command. This command is compatible with both MMS and SMTP modes.
- *531* Turn sensor to sleeping mode: The SIM card will respond with "Stop OK" upon receiving this command. This command is compatible with both MMS and SMTP modes.
