When this happens, a warning sound will be heard after the corresponding time period, and the iron LCD display will show “Pause” ⏸️. The display will turn red, and the iron will stop heating up. As soon as you move the iron again, it will switch back on and start heating up.

USING YOUR IRON

Filling with water

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged.
  2. Move the Steam control switch to the 'OFF' ⚙️ position.
  3. Open the Water Inlet Cover.

  2. Insert the power cord ? into an electric power socket. Display screen will turn red, the “STdby” message will appear on the screen, and an audible signal will be heard.

  4. Check the fabric's label for the appropriate setting.
  5. For delicate fabrics, we recommend carrying out a test on a hidden part of the garment (inner seam).

Anti-drip system

If the heat setting is set to a lower setting, to prevent potential dripping, the iron is equipped with the ANTI-DRIP SYSTEM. During use, the anti-drip system may emit a clicking sound, particularly during heat up or when the iron is cooling down. This is normal and indicates that the anti-drip system is functioning correctly. ✅

Steam control switch

The Steam control switch regulates the amount of steam.

  1. Ensure there is water ? in the Water tank.
  2. Set a minimum heat setting of 8 as the steam burst function requires a higher heat.
  3. Allow the iron to heat up (the text on display stops blinking).
  4. Using the Steam control switch, set the desired steam amount or turn off the continuous steam output.

? NOTE: The iron continuously emits steam only if you hold it in a horizontal position. You can stop the release of steam by standing the iron on its heel or sliding the Steam control switch entirely to the left, to the 'OFF' ⚙️ position.

⚠️ ATTENTION: Do not use the steam function on silk and synthetics to prevent fabric damage.

Burst of steam

Use the Burst of steam function to remove stubborn wrinkles or to press in a sharp crease.

  1. Ensure there is water ? in the Water tank.
  2. Set a minimum heat setting of 8 as the burst of steam function requires a higher heat.
  3. Allow the product to heat up (the text on display stops blinking).
  4. Press the Burst of steam trigger firmly ▶️ to generate a strong flow of steam.
  5. Wait at least 4 seconds ⏳ before pressing the Burst of steam trigger again.

⚠️ ATTENTION: Do not use the Burst of steam function on silk and synthetics to prevent fabric damage.

Vertical steam

The iron can also be used vertically. This is especially useful for getting creases out of hanging clothes, curtains, tapestries, etc. To steam vertically, press the Burst of steam button while holding the iron in the upright position.

⚠️ WARNING: Never iron clothes while they are being worn.

Spray function

Use the spray function to make wrinkle removal easier.

  1. Ensure there is water ? in the Water tank.
  2. Set a minimum heat setting of 8 as the spray function requires a higher heat.
  3. Allow the product to heat up (the text on display stops blinking).
  4. Aim the Spray nozzle towards the garment.
  5. Press the Spray button down slowly for a jet or press quickly and firmly for a mist.

? NOTE: Do not use the spray function on silk and synthetics to prevent fabric damage.

Dry ironing

  1. Slide the Steam control switch entirely to the left, to the 'OFF' ⚙️ position.
  2. Set the temperature to the desired setting according to the type of fabric you are ironing.
  3. The product has reached the operating temperature when the text on the display stops blinking.

? NOTE: We recommend dry ironing with an empty tank to be sure there are no drips, however, dry ironing can also be performed with water already in the tank.

STORING YOUR IRON

  1. Slide the Steam control switch entirely to the left, to the 'OFF' ⚙️ position.
  2. Press the Temperature decrease button repeatedly until the display lights up in red, the "STdby" message appears, and a sound signal is heard. Alternatively, press the Temperature decrease button for approximately three seconds until the display lights up in red. The product is switched off in standby mode and will not heat up anymore.
  3. Disconnect the power cord ? from the power socket and allow the soleplate to cool down.
  4. Empty the Water tank ? into a sink by turning the iron upside down and gently shaking it.
  5. Roll up the power cord around the iron.
  6. Always store the iron in an upright position.

ANTI-CALC FEATURE

A special resin filter inside the Water tank softens the water and prevents scale build-up in the plate. The resin filter is permanent and does not need replacing.

Please note: PurSteam irons are designed to be used with REGULAR TAP WATER (up to 12 grains of hardness). If your water is harder than this, we recommend mixing half tap water with half distilled water, which reduces the hardness, or you can use distilled water only.

Always remember: Water containing additives (such as starch, perfume, or fabric conditioner) should not be used. Such additives can affect the properties of the steam and, at high temperatures, can form deposits in the steam chamber, which will mark the laundry when they are emitted through the steam vents. For this reason, descaling liquids should not be used.

SELF-CLEANING FEATURE

The self-cleaning feature cleans inside the soleplate, removing scale and impurities. We recommend using it every 10–15 days.

Instructions on how to perform the self-cleaning:

  1. Fill the Water tank ? up to the maximum level and set the Steam control switch ⚙️ to the 'Self Clean' position.
  2. Use the Temperature increase button to set the highest temperature (11) and wait for the iron to reach the operating temperature (the text on display stops blinking).
  3. Pull the plug ? out of the socket and hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  4. Slide the steam control dial to the Self Clean position. Water and steam will now be emitted from the openings in the soleplate.
  5. Tilt the product to remove all deposits in the tank and flush them out.
  6. When the soleplate completely cools down, you can clean it with a damp cloth.
  7. Once the self-cleaning process is complete, iron an old, but clean towel first, as there may still be some particles of dirt under the soleplate.

GENERAL CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

? NOTE: Before cleaning the iron, make sure that it is unplugged from the power outlet and cooled down.
