Charging the Wireless Core Controller
To play and charge simultaneously on a Switch console, ensure "Pro Controller Wired Communication" is turned ON in System Settings > Controllers > Sensors.
- Connect the Type-C end of the cable to the Type-C port on the top of the controller.
- Connect the standard USB end to any powered USB port.
- LEDs will blink while charging.
- Full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
- LEDs turn off when charging is complete.
- Check battery level via the Switch Home screen > Controllers.
- Rapidly blinking LEDs indicate a low battery.
Connecting to a Switch Console
Wireless Mode:
- Turn on the Switch console.
- Go to Home screen > Controllers > Change Grip and Order.
- Press and hold the Home button [?] and the Y button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds until LEDs flash.
- To reconnect, hold the Home button [?] for 3-5 seconds until green LEDs flash.
- To turn off, hold the Home button [?] for 5-10 seconds until green LEDs turn off.
- The controller automatically turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity.
If wireless syncing fails, follow wired mode instructions first, then disconnect the cable to play wirelessly.
Wired Mode:
Ensure "Pro Controller Wired Communication" is ON. The Switch must be in a compatible dock.
- Place the Switch console in the dock and turn it on.
- Connect the Type-C cable to the controller's Type-C port.
- Plug the USB connector into a USB port on the Switch dock.
- Wait for green LEDs on the controller to light up.
- Press any button (except Turbo) on the controller to sync.
The controller can be used wirelessly after syncing via cable.
Calibrating the Wireless Core Controller
Before first use, calibrate motion controls and control sticks. Controller must be powered on and synced to Switch.
- Go to Home screen.
- Select System Settings > Controllers and Sensors.
- Choose "Calibrate Control Sticks" and follow on-screen instructions.
- Return to Controllers and Sensors menu and choose "Calibrate Motion Controls", following on-screen instructions.
Using Turbo and Auto-Fire Functionality
Turbo and auto-fire can be set to multiple buttons simultaneously. Compatible buttons: Y, X, B, A, L, ZL, R, ZR, D-Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right).
Not compatible with: -, +, Capture [Capture Button], Home [Home Button], and analog stick buttons/directions.
Enabling Turbo/Auto-Fire:
- Press and hold the Turbo button.
- While holding Turbo, press the desired button(s) once for Turbo function. Press again for Auto-Fire.
- Release the Turbo button when finished.
Disabling Turbo/Auto-Fire:
- To disable Turbo: Hold Turbo button, then press the enabled button(s) twice.
- To disable Auto-Fire: Hold Turbo button, then press the enabled button(s) once.
- To reset all settings: Press and hold the Turbo button and the - button simultaneously.
Changing Turbo/Auto-Fire Speed:
- Press and hold the Turbo button.
- Tilt the right analog stick up to increase speed.
- Tilt the right analog stick down to decrease speed.
- Release the Turbo button when finished.
Connecting to PC and Android Devices
Connecting to a PC:
- Connect the Type-C cable to the controller's Type-C port.
- Plug the USB cable into a powered USB port on the PC.
- The controller should register automatically as "Wireless Core Controller".
Connecting to an Android Device:
- Turn on Bluetooth on your Android device.
- Scan for new Bluetooth devices.
- Press and hold the Home button [?] and the A button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds until LEDs flash.
- Select "Wireless Core Controller" on your Android device to pair.
- To turn off, hold the Home button [?] for 5-10 seconds until green LEDs turn off.
Troubleshooting
Q1: How many Wireless Core Controllers can I connect?
A1: Up to 8 on the same console. In wired mode, up to 3 controllers plus additional Joy-Cons or Core Controllers wirelessly.
Q2: Can I use Amiibo™ with this controller?
A2: No, the Wireless Core Controller does not support NFC/Amiibo.
Q3: The controller is pressing buttons on its own!
A3: Reset all Turbo and Auto-Fire settings by pressing and holding the Turbo button and the - button simultaneously.
Q4: How do I update the firmware?
A4: Visit Nyko.com for firmware update instructions.
Care and Maintenance
- Never force the Type-C cable into the controller.
- Keep the controller free of dirt, debris, and metal objects.
- Do not expose to extreme conditions (direct sunlight, excessive heat/humidity).
- Keep away from liquids.
- Clean with a dry cloth; use electronics-specific cleaning chemicals if necessary.
- Do not open or tamper with the controller.

Nyko Product Limited Warranty
Nyko warrants this product to the original purchaser for ninety (90) days from the date of purchase for normal intended use. Nyko will replace or repair defective parts at its option, free of charge. This warranty does not cover defects from misuse or modification.
