ULTRA-G GI100 Controls

The ULTRA-G GI100 is a professional DI-Box designed for guitarists, offering battery or phantom power operation and guitar speaker emulation.

Control Descriptions:

  • 1. SIMULATOR ON/OFF: This switch activates or deactivates the VIRTUAL 4 x 12" CAB speaker simulation.
  • 2. GND LIFT: When activated, this switch breaks the ground connection between the input and output. This can help eliminate hum or ground loops depending on the connected equipment's grounding.
  • 3. OUTPUT TO MIXER: This is the GI100's balanced, mic-level output. Connect it to a console using a high-quality, balanced XLR (microphone) cable.
  • 4. BATTERY COMPARTMENT: Remove the screw and lift the lid to install or replace the 9 V battery.
  • 5. CLIP LED: This LED lights up when the input signal level is too high.
  • 6. -20 dB PAD Switches: These two switches increase the operating range of the ULTRA-G, allowing it to accept a wide range of input signals, from low-level signals of high-impedance microphones or guitars to the loudspeaker output of a guitar amplifier. Pressing both switches results in a gain reduction of 40 dB.
  • 7. INPUT: Use this 1/4" mono jack to connect your signal source (e.g., your guitar) with a standard instrument cable.
  • 8. DIRECT LINK TO CABINET: This is a direct output of the input signal, allowing you to simultaneously send your instrument's signal to the GI100 and complete your normal signal path by connecting the DIRECT LINK to an amplifier or speaker cabinet.
