  4. Once lit, keep the ignition button pushed for about 5 seconds until the flame is steady.
  5. Rotate the burner control knob to adjust the flame to the desired level.
  6. Repeat steps 2 and 5 for other burners as needed.

If the burner does not ignite

If the burner does not light within 5 seconds, turn the control knob clockwise to OFF. Wait at least 5 minutes and repeat the igniting procedure. If it still does not ignite, use a gas lighter or match. Refer to 'Manual Ignition' section.

Manual Ignition

WARNING: Use care when lighting burners by hand. If a burner lights unexpectedly or your hand is too close, you could be burned.

If standard ignition fails, light manually:

  1. Push and turn the appropriate burner control knob counterclockwise to the position. (See Fig. 15)
  2. Immediately strike and place a long wooden match or gas lighter near the burner to light. (See Fig. 16)
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for other burners as needed.
  4. Rotate the burner control knob to adjust the flame to the desired level. (See Fig. 17)

If the Flame Goes Out

WARNING: Risk of Fire! If the flame goes out accidentally, gas will escape. Never leave the gas burner unattended during operation. Ensure there are no drafts that can affect the burner flame.

Immediately turn the control knob to OFF. Wait at least 5 minutes and light the burner again.

Turning Off Cooktop

WARNING: Always turn off the gas tank valve when refueling or traveling.

To turn off cooktop burners, rotate control knobs clockwise to OFF. Do not close the glass top until the cooktop has cooled.

Lighting the Oven

NOTE: The oven pilot must be lit before the oven burner will operate.

If the flame goes out during the lighting process

WARNING: Risk of Fire! If the flame goes out accidentally, gas will escape. Never leave the gas burner unattended during operation. Ensure there are no drafts.

Immediately turn the control knob to OFF. Wait at least 5 minutes before trying to relight the oven burner.

Turning Off the Oven

WARNING: Always turn off the gas tank valve when refueling or traveling.

To turn off the oven, rotate the oven control knob clockwise to the OFF position.

The Burner Flame

Keep arms and face away from being directly above the cooking area. Flames should appear similar to the good flame shown below.

Diagram showing good vs. bad burner flames. A good flame is blue with a yellow tip.

A good flame should be blue with a yellow tip. Some yellow tips on flames up to 1" (25.4mm) in length are acceptable as long as no carbon or soot deposits appear. If flames are excessively yellow and irregular, the oil residue may not be completely burned off, or the venturi may be clogged or may not be properly positioned over the orifices.

Slow Cooking

The power of the side burners is lower than the center burner; use the side burners for slow cooking.

Cooking Advice

The oven offers a wide range of cooking alternatives. These directions are guidelines and may be varied according to personal experience.

WARNING: Food Poisoning Hazard

Preheating

Preheating the gas oven heats the air, walls, and door, ensuring it quickly returns to temperature after the door is opened and closed. Preheat time varies by temperature; minimum suggested is 15 minutes.

Baking Cakes

Place cakes in the oven after preheating (approx. 15 minutes). Typical temperature is 350°F. Do not open the door while baking to prevent dropping.

Issue Solution
Pastry is too dry Increase temperature by 50°F and reduce cooking time.
Pastry dropped Use less liquid or lower temperature by 50°F.
Pastry is too dark on top Place on a lower rack, lower temperature, and increase cooking time.
Cooked well inside but sticky outside Use less liquid, lower temperature, and increase cooking time.
Pastry sticks to the pan Grease pan well, dust with flour, or use greaseproof paper.

Cooking Pizza

For tasty crispy pizzas:

Cooking Fish and Meat

For white meat, fowl, and fish, use temperatures from 335°F to 375°F.

For well-done red meat that is tender and juicy inside, start with a high temperature (375°F-425°F) for a short time, then reduce the oven temperature.

Generally, larger roasts require lower temperatures. Place meat on the center grate with a dripping pan underneath. Ensure the grate is centered. For more bottom heat, use lower rack positions. For savory roasts (duck, game), dress meat with lard or bacon on top.

  1. Disconnect the oven from the power supply via the switch or by unplugging the appliance.
  2. Remove the glass cover of the lamp-holder. (See Fig. 27)
  3. Remove the lamp and replace it with a high-temperature resistant lamp (300°C / 572°F) with the following specifications: Voltage: 12V, Wattage: 10W, Type: G4 Halogen.
  4. Replace the glass cover.
  5. Reconnect power to the oven.

To reorder replacement bulbs, contact Furrion service.

Replacing the Control Knob LED

  1. Disconnect the oven from the power supply via the switch or by unplugging the appliance.
  2. Grasp and pull the control knob with the broken LED light. (See Fig. 28)
  3. Remove the two screws holding the LED light using a Phillips screwdriver. (See Fig. 29)
  4. Remove the LED assembly and disconnect the wire from its base. (See Fig. 30)
  5. Connect the wire harness connector to the new LED assembly.
  6. Reattach the LED assembly to the console with the screws removed in step 3. Ensure wires are not pinched.
  7. Reattach the control knob by aligning its stem with the opening in the housing and pushing it into place.

Storage

Dry all surfaces and the burner box. Spray surfaces with cooking oil substance to prevent rusting during long-term storage. Wipe off oil coating before reuse.

Troubleshooting

Before calling for service, review this list to save time and expense. This list covers common issues not due to defective workmanship or materials.

Problem Possible Causes / Solution
Surface burners do not light. Surface Control Knob not fully turned to position. Push and turn knob to position until burner ignites, then adjust flame size. Ensure gas supply valve is open. Burner ports or slots clogged: use a small wire or needle to clean. Low gas supply. Moisture on burner: dry thoroughly.
Surface burner flame burns half way around. Burner ports or slots clogged: clean with a small wire or needle. Moisture present after cleaning: fan flame, allow burner to operate until flame is full, dry thoroughly.
Surface burner flame is orange. Dust particles in main line: let burner operate a few minutes until flame turns blue. In coastal areas, slightly orange flame is unavoidable due to salt air.
Control LED only stays BLUE. Igniter knob control (far left) does not change color. All other knobs change to RED when control is turned on. Knob LED PCB Hall components may fail to sense the magnet. Contact Furrion for service.
Control knob stays RED at OFF position. Signal reception issue with Hall components. Contact Furrion for service.
