Safety Information
Precautions to Avoid Possible Exposure to Excessive Microwave Energy
1. Do not operate the oven with the door open, as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. Do not defeat or tamper with safety interlocks.
2. Do not place objects between the oven front face and the door, or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
3. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. Ensure the door closes properly and that there is no damage to the:
- Door (bent)
- Hinges and latches (broken or loosened)
- Door seals and sealing surface
4. The oven should only be serviced by qualified personnel.
Important Safety Instructions
WARNING - To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, injury to persons, or exposure to excessive microwave energy:
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Follow specific precautions outlined in the "Precautions to Avoid Possible Exposure to Excessive Microwave Energy" section.
- This appliance must be grounded. Connect only to a properly grounded outlet. Refer to "Grounding Instructions" for details.
- Install or locate the appliance only according to the provided installation instructions.
- Do not heat whole eggs or sealed containers (e.g., closed glass jars) as they may explode.
Grounding Instructions
This appliance must be grounded. It is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire and plug. The plug must be inserted into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
WARNING: Improper grounding can result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about grounding.
If using an extension cord, it must be a 3-wire, grounded type with a 3-blade plug and receptacle, and its electrical rating must be equal to or greater than the appliance's rating.
DANGER: Electric Shock Hazard. Touching internal components can cause serious injury or death. Do not disassemble.
Radio Interference
Operation of the microwave oven may cause interference to radios, TVs, or similar equipment. If interference occurs, try the following:
- Clean the door and sealing surfaces.
- Reorient the receiving antenna.
- Relocate the microwave oven relative to the receiver.
- Move the microwave oven away from the receiver.
- Plug the microwave oven into a different outlet.
This device complies with part 18 of the FCC Rules.
Utensils
CAUTION: Personal Injury Hazard. Tightly-closed containers could explode. Open closed containers and pierce plastic pouches before cooking.
Utensil Test
- Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml) and the utensil.
- Cook on maximum power for 1 minute.
- Carefully feel the utensil. If it is warm, do not use it for microwave cooking.
- Do not exceed 1 minute cooking time.

Operation
Setting the Clock
To set the correct time (e.g., 10:59):
- Touch 'Clock'.
- Enter the time using the numeric pads (e.g., 1, 0, 5, 9).
- Touch 'Start/+30Sec.' to confirm. The display will show the time counting down.
Setting the Timer
The microwave can be used as a kitchen timer (up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds). It can be used while the microwave is running.
To set the timer (e.g., for three minutes):
- Touch 'Timer'.
- Enter the time (e.g., 3, 0, 0).
- Touch 'Timer' again to start. The display will show the time counting down.
Microwave (Cooking)
The oven can be programmed for 99 minutes and 99 seconds (99:99). Enter seconds after minutes, even if they are zeros.
To cook for 2 minutes at 90% power:
- Touch 'Cook Time'.
- Enter the time (e.g., 2, 0, 0).
- Touch 'Power Level'.
- Select the desired power level (e.g., 'X2 or 9' for 90% power, displayed as P-90).
- Touch 'Start/+30Sec.' to begin cooking.

Weight Defrost
Follow instructions on the unit or menu label for weight defrosting.
Time Defrost
Follow instructions on the unit or menu label for time defrosting.
NOTE: A buzzer will sound halfway through the defrost time to remind you to turn the food over.
Speed Cooking
Using Add 30 Sec.
This is a time-saving feature for quick cooking at 100% power.
To use:
- Touch 'Start/+30Sec.' to begin cooking for 30 seconds at 100% power.
Using Number Pads for "1-6"
Press number pads "1-6" to start cooking for the corresponding number of minutes at 100% power.
Example: To cook for 6 minutes at 100% power:
- Touch the '6' pad. The display shows ':6'.
- After 2 seconds, the display shows ':6' again.
- Touch 'Start/+30Sec.' to begin.
If the oven door is not opened and closed within 5 minutes of initiating speed cooking, the display may show "Food". Open and close the door to clear the message.
Veggies
Select 'Veggies X1' or 'Veggies X2' and then 'Start/+30Sec.' to cook.
Popcorn
Press 'Popcorn' key. The LED displays 3.3 oz. Press 'Popcorn' repeatedly to select desired weight.
Example: To cook 3.3 oz. popcorn:
- Touch 'Popcorn'.
- Select weight if needed (e.g., 'Popcorn X2' for 3.0 oz).
- Touch 'Start/+30Sec.' to begin.

Melt/Soften
The oven uses low power to melt and soften items.
Example: To melt 2 sticks of butter:
- Touch 'Melt/Soften X 1'.

Child Lock
To lock the control panel, press and hold 'STOP/CANCEL' for 3 seconds. The display will show 'LOCK' or the current time.
To unlock, press and hold 'STOP/CANCEL' for 3 seconds again.
Stage Cook
Allows programming multiple cooking stages.
Example: To set a 2-stage cook:
- Touch '1', '2', '0' for 1:20.
- Touch 'Power Level' (e.g., 'P-HI').
- Touch 'Power Level X2 or 2' (e.g., 'P-20').
- Touch 'Cook Time'.
- Enter time (e.g., '1', '5', '0' for 1:50).
- Touch 'Power Level' (e.g., 'P-HI').
- Touch 'Power Level X3 or 3' (e.g., 'P-30').
- Touch 'Start/+30Sec.' to begin.
Vent Fan
Controls the 2-speed vent fan. From OFF, touch pad cycles HIGH, LOW, OFF.
To set fan to LOW from OFF:
- Touch 'x1' (HIGH).
- Touch 'x2' (LOW).
- Touch 'x3' (OFF).
Light
Controls the interior light. From OFF, touch pad cycles ON, OFF.
To turn the light ON from OFF:
- Touch 'x1' (ON).
- Touch 'x2' (OFF).
User Pref
Allows setting user preferences:
- USER PREF x1: Volume (High/Med/Low/Off)
- USER PREF x2: Weight (lb/kg)
- USER PREF x3: Clock Display (Off/On)
- USER PREF x4: Demo Mode
Volume Low/Nor/Hi/Off
In standby mode, touch 'USER PREF x1' to cycle through volume settings (Lo, Nor, HI, OFF).
Weight (Lbs / Kg)
In standby mode, touch 'USER PREF x2' to select weight units (lb or kg).
Clock Display Off/On
In standby mode, touch 'USER PREF x3' to turn the clock display ON or OFF.
Demo Setting
In standby mode, touch 'USER PREF x4' to activate or deactivate Demo Mode.
