App Download and Use Steps
Software Download and Installation
- Scan the QR code or search for "Smart Life" on Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS) to download the app.
- Turn on the Smart Life APP, register your account, and log in.
Connect the Device
- Ensure your phone's WiFi and Bluetooth are turned on.
- Log in to the Smart Life app and refresh the page.
- Select the device you wish to add.
- Enter your 2.4GHz WiFi network name and password. Note: The device does not support 5GHz networks.
- Wait for the device to connect, then click "Next".
- Click the "Finish" button in the upper right corner to access the feeding page.
Note: The product is only suitable for 2.4GHz networks. Battery power is for emergency use; dual power supply is recommended for normal use. Ensure the feeder and home WiFi are within a reasonable distance (recommended within 5 meters).
Feeding Settings
You can set a continuous daily feeding schedule for your pet. The app allows you to set up to 10 meals per day.
Note: The WiFi function consumes significant power when running on battery. Battery life is approximately 20-24 hours. Using dual power supply is more energy-saving and recommended.
Important Notes:
- Do not use canned, wet, or moist pet food.
- Recommended kibble size ranges from 5-10mm (0.2-0.4in) in diameter.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Please connect the external power supply before downloading the program.
- The device supports 2.4GHz signal, not 5GHz signal.
- Ensure the distance between the feeder and your home WiFi is not too far; confirm both can connect.
Product Disassembly & Cleaning
The stainless steel bowl and desiccant box can be removed for cleaning. The grain bin can be wiped down with a damp paper towel.
- Washable Parts: Stainless Steel Bowl, Desiccant Box.
- Non-Washable Parts: Main Frame, Indicator Panel, Food Outlet, etc. (Wipe with a damp cloth).
Q&A Trouble Shooting
- Q: Why I cannot connect to the WIFI?
A: Please check if the power supply has been connected. Then, make sure you select the 2.4G instead of 5G WIFI. Try connecting again. - Q: Why feed on the APP but no food dispensing from the feeder?
A: If the APP shows the feeding has been succeeded, but no food is dispensing: Firstly, check if the food tank has enough food. Secondly, check if the impellers have been rotated normally (you can judge from the sound). Thirdly, suggest feeding again a few more times to avoid issues caused by signal delay or internet lag. - Q: Why I cannot log in to my Smart Life account?
A: Firstly, please check if the feeder has been connected to the WiFi properly. Secondly, check if the account is being used by others. Suggest unloading and reinstalling the APP. - Q: Is it possible to set up a feeder schedule when the feeder is on battery power?
A: When using only battery power, the automatic feeder can set a new feeding time schedule through the mobile app and can also dispense food remotely. It is recommended to use dual power supply to prevent issues from home power outages.
